Why didn't Riyaadh ever hit back?

This was one question that truly, truly ticked me off.

Riyaadh was a gentle and kind person and the idea of hitting anyone would literally hurt him too.
But hitting someone he was in love with- it would have been an action against his very soul.

And how can a man ever, ever hit a woman. That it could even be suggested...
