Your characters are quite complex. How did you come up with your characters?

This might be a bit of a complicated answer and it sort of goes in two parts.

Riaz's character developed from Riyaadh's story. I never intended to ever write a story for him but as I wrote Riyaadh's story, I became more and more obsessed with Farhana and her story.

And Tasneem's character was a very minor character in another one of my stories, Catalyst, but she was still highly important to the story.

Then Abra-Cadabra, Zimzalabim!

The idea popped in my head. I was probably in the shower when it happened (most of my best ideas come in the shower... not that that's important at all...)

Anyway

I kinda wanted to link Riyaadh's story to all my stories and for some reason, it just seemed to work.

Normal with You ended up becoming somewhat of a prequel to both Riyaadh's story and Catalyst and it seemed to work out very, very nicely
