QUESTION:

What is the oddest thing you have ever done?

Regular pink-robe-driving aside, I had to think about this one. Not for the reasons you think; I struggled to find something not odd within my living. Normal, you know?

Sleep is probably high on the list. I 'nap' an hour here, two hours there... any time of the day or night. I have no set 8 hour stretch; I've forgotten what this is! Sometimes I'll wake and for the life of me not know whether it's dawn or dusk. First coffee of the day or I slept through dinner for the boys again and they had to order Domino's. Or I'll meet them on the stairs- they going to bed, I for that coffee:

"Morning mum."

"Goodnight boys."

Apparently I am potentially shaving years off my life-expectancy. And it's not like I don't indulge in other risky behaviour... I smoke!

But here's the thing: I'm cruising. I'm comfortable with this oddity. I tell people and disbelief first clouds their faces. Followed by puzzlement. Followed by the internal reasoning: "Yep. There's always been something odd about her; this isn't the least surprising."
