IF YOU could know
QUESTION:
If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Man... Tough one. Not because I wouldn't know where to begin searching for the one. I have it already. Tough because... I'd then live knowing the answer. (Or having it confirmed?)
My question?
"Will humankind's inhumanity towards man and the environment ever cease?"
I have a 'concept world'. (Yet I am the least 'fantasy-fanatical' person you are likely to meet?) Anyhow. Within this world, there's no inhumanity- and whatever drives its various forms. Within it are lives lived in pursuit of joy. (Doing what one likes and going where one likes and being with whoever one likes- in absolute freedom.) But not selfishly. Doing for and being with others too; because it is far more pleasurable to 'do for' and 'be with' than to 'argue about'.
Within it, man and nature live harmoniously- life has equal value and is paid the same respect- irrelevant of the species, prominence or lack of. There is no hierarchy with man sitting astride the apex. There is no "Save from extinction." There is no "Power is good." There is no "Man is God"... And there is no 'God' to dish out judgement.
Yeah... Idealism. That's what I have. The notion that MAN is truly a noble creature. That the intelligence placing him above other creatures is benevolent, not malevolent- and that somehow... it got switched around?
So I am wanting to know if we will ever see a world without greed and avarice and egotism. If it will ever get switched back- man's inhumanity. (Though cynics might say it was never there to begin with?)
What's your question?
