Gayday: *bounds around camp until he spots Straightfur* Hey, Straighty!

Straightfur: *stops what he was doing* What did you just call me? 

Gayday: Nothing.~ Wanna go hunting?

Straightfur: *looks slightly suspicious* Why?

Gayday: Oh, no reason. Come on, Arosparrow is gonna join us.

Straightfur: *follows Gayday to the camp entrance, where Arosparrow is waiting*

Arosparrow: So, where are we going?

Gayday: I'll lead the way!

Straightfur and Arosparrow: *exchange a glance and follow Gayday to a regular hunting spot in the forest*

Gayday: *crouches in one of the bushes and waves tail for them to follow*

Straightfur and Arosparrow: *follow Gayday under the cover of the bushes, one on each side of him*

Straightfur: What exactly are-

Gayday: SHHHHHH!

Straightfur: But what-

Gayday: SHHHHHHH!

Arosparrow: *whispers* What are we doing?

Gayday: *whispers* We're going to catch the magical rainbow bird and make Straightfur eat it, so it'll make him finally come out of the closet.

Straightfur: You know I can hear-

Gayday: SHHHHHH!

Gayday, Straightfur, and Arosparrow: *sit and wait for said mythical bird until Straightfur starts getting restless. When he is about to argue, there's a rustle from the foliage behind them*

Gayday: THERE IT IS! *turns and jumps into the foliage before Arosparrow or Gayday could stop him. There's a loud yowl, but then...* You're not a bird.

Arosparrow and Straightfur: *run over to see Gayday clambering off a dark brown tabby glaring up at him with copper eyes*

Straightfur: Who are you?

Dawn: *gets to their paws and shakes out their fur* My name is Dawn. I was looking for some prey before he tackled me. *glares at Gayday*

Gayday: I thought you were the rainbow bird!

Dawn: The what?

Straightfur: Don't mind Gayday. I'm Straightfur, and this *gestures to Aro* is Arosparrow.

Dawn: Such peculiar names . . . Do they mean something?

Arosparrow: It is the way of our clan, QueerClan. We are named after our sexualities and/or gender identities.

Gayday: *strikes a pose* I'm GaY!

Dawn: *ignoring Gayday* And you're all . . . accepted?

Straightfur: I, uh...*glances at Gayday* yes. Yes, we are.

Dawn: *quiet for a moment, contemplating* And you have food? Shelter?

Gayday: Yup!

Dawn: *quiet for another moment* Do you think I could join?

Straightfur: I don't see why not. Follow us, and we'll take you to our leader, Rainbowstar. *leads the group of cats back towards camp*

Everyone walks in silence for a good several minutes.

Arosparrow: ...................................soooo....Dawn.........what are your pronouns?
