The wind blew cold and the ground was wet
When Breezepaw and the cat first met

He never learned the brown tom's name
Before the storm of leaf-fall came

They spoke only a few times, two or three
Breezepaw was drawn to him immediately

The last time they talked, grey clouds filled the skies
He couldn't stop staring at the tom's amber eyes

But when a leaf fell through his new friend's head
Breezepaw realized the tom was dead

Welcome to the first round, Ghost Cats! This theme is pretty self explanatory. All you have to do is include them into your entry. It could be cats telling ghost stories, an encounter with a ghost cat, or cats who realize that they themselves are dead. The only limit is your imagination!
