Jum was under an apple tree pacing angrily and confused. He couldn't marry Ha Eun! She was like a little sister to him. Plus Kang Dae would obviously chop off his head and remove his intestines.

"Yah Kim Jum!",a voice yelled out in anger as the person got closer to him

Jum turned and saw Ha Eun fuming towards him.

"What the heck did you say to let our parents arrange a marriage?!",She asked angrily

"Me?! What did I do?! I could ask you the same thing since you always use your pretty face to bribe your parents!",Jum started to yell

That statement caused Ha Eun to hit his arm repeatedly.

"Meanie",she muttered as she kept glaring at him

The two then stood there glaring daggers at each other until Jum saw Ha Eun's eyes filled with a few tears

"What will Kang Dae think? I really like him...you promised you would help me confess to him...he already thinks we're dating behind his back...",she said softly and choked a little as she tried not to cry

Jum felt bad. He really hated knowing both his friends liked each other but couldn't be together because of stupid social status in the country

He sighed as he hugged her quietly and gently and let the female cry her heart out. He hated it whenever she cried. He hated it when innocent people cried. He just Didn't understand his parents at all. Instead of asking their children questions they just assumed their child likes this and that and make decisions. He was a grown man!

As he continued comforting Ha Eun,they heard someone walking close to them and they turned to see Kang Dae looking at them with an unreadable expression on his face

"Oh uh...Hi Kang Dae",Jum said softly as he gave his friend a soft smile,hoping he hadn't heard anything and hoping he didn't think anything was going on. Ha Eun had started to look at the ground quietly

"Should I know why you're comforting Ha Eun? And don't lie to me",he spoke with a cold voice

Ha Eun and Jum were silent. They didn't know what to say and they didn't know if he could handle it. Kang Dae was a guy who always acted on impulse and most of the time it just led to something bad. He would've been dead by now if the other two weren't around to guide him and calm him down

"Our...our parents want us to get married",Ha Eun finally said,breaking the silence.

Kang Dae didn't say anything. He continued to stare at the two. He then started to laugh loudly,but one could tell there was pain and anger in his laugh. He stopped laughing and looked up at the sky. He slowly looked at the both of them again.

"Smile guys and stop acting like you don't want this. We all know you two love each other a lot and can't wait to have each other",he spat out with so much hate. The two friends could only look at him in shock

"K-Kang Dae,you know that's not true!",Ha Eun spoke out as tears began to form in her eyes again

"Oh yes it is!",he yelled at her in anger as he came closer to her. "You think I don't see it?! You pretend that you're just friends but deep inside you're trying to get with Jum because he's handsome and most importantly rich! For all we know he's probably not the only rich guy you're friendly-",before he could finish his sentence or Jum could stop him,Ha Eun gave him a hard slap.

There was silence as Jum stared in shock,Kang Dae had his hand on his cheek in shock and Ha Eun was looking at Kang Dae with angry,hurt and teary eyes.

"How could you speak to me like that?! You of all people! Lee Kang Dae,you disgust me! You know who I am! You know I can never do that! My heart belongs to you! I don't want to marry Jum! Do you know how much I cried last night because of this marriage?! It's not what I want! I can't believe I fell for you! If you think I'm a prostitute then stay away from me! Don't speak to me ever again! I hate you!!", she yelled as tears rolled down her cheeks. She then walked away from the two men without looking back.

The two stood there quietly and glanced at each other every now and then. Kang Dae then slumped to the ground and placed his head in his hands. Jum knelt next to him and placed a comforting hand on his friend's back. Everything was now a mess. After a while they heard someone coming towards them. They both looked up to see Sun Woo looking down at them very seriously. He didn't have to say anything,the guys knew they were needed by the King urgently.

At the palace

The two friends were led to the King's study by Sun Woo. When they got there,Ban Ryu was waiting for them.

"What's the matter?",Jum asked quickly without even taking a seat

"Have you guys started looking for the traitor?",Ban Ryu asked

"Um...n-no. Uh a lot has happened but we swear we'll work on it right now",Kang Dae promised. His voice was threatening to break and his eyes looked red and hurt. Ban Ryu noticed but decided it would be better if he didn't ask

"Well,it's alright if you haven't started. I actually wanted to help",He told them and gestured for them to take a seat as he sat in his chair. He then took out a small piece of paper and gave it to them to read

"Forest. Midnight. Silk",the friends read out loud and looked up at the King

"One of my spies found a raven deliver this to one of the guards. It was written in a foreign language but Sun Woo was able to decipher it.",Ban Ryu started explaining

"We aren't sure yet but we suspect this guard is the traitor,that he's the one who's been sending our resources to the Han Dynasty. We believe they are going to meet in the forest at midnight and he'll be giving them silk",Sun Woo continued

"So you want us to follow this guy to confirm?",Jum asked

"That's right. We haven't arrested him yet. Once you two find out the truth we'll be able to get him and his accomplices and stop this nonsense",Ban Ryu said enthusiastically.

"Don't worry. We'll make sure we find out what's going on fast",Kang Dae promised.

"Alright. You two will come back at 9pm to get ready. You'll then move to the forest with Sun Woo. Since we can't expose ourselves I want you three to try and see faces or hear names. If you have to fight,then do it but only if necessary. Do you understand?",Ban Ryu explained the plan to them

"Yes,Your Highness",the three men said and bowed in unison.

After going through maps and formulating strategies,Jum and Kang Dae walked out of the castle quietly.

"I know you were angry...but you didn't have to yell at Ha Eun at all",Jum said softly

"I know! I know,I know and I was such a fool and now she hates me",Kang Dae muttered as a tear rolled down his cheek. He didn't normally cry but he had lost the love of his life because of his temper and it was killing him every second.

Jum sighed and hugged his friend. "Well at least we know she's in love with you",he said randomly

"Correction:Was in love with me"

"Oh come on. I'm sure she just said that because she was angry and hurt. Don't worry,I'll help you apologize to her"

"You sure it's not too late?"

"We'll go to her house before coming to the palace. We have a lot of time so let's go plan everything we need",Jum said excitedly and ran off to the market with his friend

He couldn't let his two friends be in pain. He needed to help fix all this and he knew just what to do
