(Stu)dying on Saturday

Satsuki entered the building of the gym where the whole voleyball club was inside, already practising. The girl was completely dazed off and was hanging her head low, millions of emotions being mixed up in her mind. Sadness, misofrtune. . . regret? Despair? She still hadn't recovered the previous shock and she was thinking to herself just one word: why. Why did this happen that early? She had to see Kageyama over 6 years and despite the fact that they were childhood friends; they had met their new selves and accepted their changes in a few days, yet why did he confess that kind of feelings to her? When did they develop in such a small time? It was only one-two months since she had enrolled in Karasuno High School, love would take at least half a year to be born between their tensed friendship.

Thinking that, she unconsciously sat down on one of the bleachers, taking a deep breath and then exhaling, something which was heard like a sigh.

"Satsuki?" a gentle voice asked, making the girl look up and spot Sachi.

"Yes, Sachi-san?"

The blonde girl looked down, rubbing her foot on the ground awkwardly as she began talking, "Eh. . . ano. . . I saw what happened between you and Kageyama-kun. Is. . . Is everything alright now?". This question made Satsuki freeze, look at her with shock. She had actually seen her and Kageyama before, fact which made her look away embarassed.

"Y-yes. . . I'm alright now, thanks" she nochalantly replied and grabbed her clipboard, searching thoroughly the training program of the volleyball players. Her eyes were still burning from her urge to cry and she was trying to somehow avoid blurrying her eyes but she failed to do that, making her to wipe her eyes. The two other female members of Karasuno Volleyball Team noticed that but didn't utter a word, trying to avoid any contact with the dangerous subject.

After Satsuki had calmed down, she clipped a whistler around her neck and blew it, making all the heads turn towards her. Coach Ukai stood besides her and glancing at each other, they confirmed their future actions. "Minna-san, can you come here?". The boys obeyed to her 'order' and they gathered around them, her purple orbs stealing a small glance from Kageyama before turning back and looking at everyone.

"Coach Ukai and Takeda-sensei informed me that we're going to a summer training camp in exactly one week", Cheers were heard from the boys, especially from Hinata, Nishinoya and Takana, "But. The exams you have to pass are critical in this journey and you all have to pass them to join us in the bus. The ones that won't pass the exams will be the ones who will have to find another way to come to Tokyo, in Nekoma High. That's where we'll hold the training camp-"

"Yaaaayy! I will get the chance to see Kenma again!'

"And their cute manager~~!"

"But our Kiyoko is more cute than her, right~?"

"Absolutely!"

A huge sweat drop appeared on the heads of the assisant coach and Coach Ukai, making them wonder what in the world their teammates were thinking. Satsuki sighed softly, wanting to smile at the stupidity of her fellow friends (?) but couldn't due to the incident which happened earlier. If only. . . If only I had told him that I feel the same way about him. . . None of us would be unhappy. . .

"Yo, Earth calls Satsuki. Earth calls Satsuki. Are ya listening to me?!" a harsh voice snapped the raven out of her thoughts, her eyes looking up to find Tanaka talking to her while the others were giving her a questioning look.

Satsuki bowed apologetically to them, her hair falling to the side as she leaned forward. "Gomenasai, Tanaka-senpai. I kind of. . . dazed off". Sachi exchanged worried looks with Hinata, Tsukishima and Yamaguchi, the four of them being concerned about their friend's quick change of mood. Usually, she would be stressed about it because Kageyama was her childhood friend. But, this abnormal behaviour of hers was kind of. . . weird. It seemed like she had regretted for something, something they still didn't know.

And they wouldn't find out any time soon.

. . .

"Neeee, say, Satsuki-san. Who is going to tuttor me and Kageyama now? We suck at school subjects!!! And if we won't pass??? I won't get the chance to go to Nekoma! To visit Tokyo!! WAaaaaahhh!!"

Hinata was ranting about his studies for over ten minutes at least, receiving some glares from Kageyama because the orange head had the terrible habit to buzz everyone with his problems. Hinata noticed the glare of the King but decided to ignore it- he would get yelled in the end anyways.

The raven girl motioned to Sachi who was standing at the entrance, advising her to wait a little. "Hn, Hinata-kun. . . Me and Yachi-san can tuttor you, right? Since both of us are good at subjects in school, we can be a valuable opportunity for you to join us in Tokyo. Besides, the senpais are going to help as well, as much as I heard" Satsuki replied to him, avoiding eye contact with Kageyama as she turned to look at them. Kageyama was looking away all the time and was just humming in response. His childhood friend noticed that with sadness and looked away too, unable to hide her hurted feelings. Hinata noticed the tension between them and scratched the back of his head, not knowing what to do.

Finally, an idea popped in his mind and he grabbed Kageyama's hand, pulling him away. "Satsuki-san! Tomorrow, in your place, at 6 p.m.! I will bring Yachi and the senpais along! Jaaaa!" and with that, the orange headed teammate ran off, leaving Satsuki with an irk mark on her face.

"Did he just. . . actually planned a rendez-vous in my house without my permission first?"

~*~*~*~*~*~

The time had finally arrived and Satsuki had planned everything. She had tied up her room and the rest of her empty house alone, placed some bowls of chips in the living room where they were going to study and had the time to relax now a bit before everyone would come in her house to organize things. They weren't going to actually start studying right now, just a small meeting for organizing their schedules, making some posters and things like that to make their club official.

The bell ringing interrupted her calmness and with a small groan, she stood up and walked up to the door, opening it. In front of her stood Kageyama, his usual frown being on his face and his hands shoved in his jacket's pockets. He wasn't wearing the school's uniform so it was kind of strange to see him in other clothes; a white simple T-shirt and black pants; not much of a difference but still not the same. "Hey"

"Hey" Satsuki breathed out, her purple orbs fixed on Kageyama. "Come in". The boy entered the house and took off his shoes, placing them besides the door. His eyes traced for a bit on the empty living room and he finally walked and sat on the couch.

He has. . . He came all alone? Due to what happened, I thought that he would bring Hinata together to lighten up the mood, yet he comes all alone, the assistant coach thought, closing the door and walking up to the couch. She sat right across from Kageyama -on the floor, behind the small table-, her gaze fixed on the ground and her fingers playing together.

Several minutes passed and the atmosphere was beginning to be more intense. Where were the other members of the volleyball club? Kageyama sifted uncomfortably on his seat and grumbled, fact which made the girl look at him with a question mark above her head. "Tatsuki"

"I mean- Satsuki" Kageyama rushed to correct himself, his cheeks flushing from embarassment. "Look. . . Can we forget about what happened yesterday? I didn't mean to ruin our friendship, I just thought that I had to tell you about how I feel about you. . . It is okay with me if we just stay friends. Yeah, friends"

The girl's eyes glimmered her hope; that was her opportunity to confess him her true feelings about him. "Tobio, you don't understand. I-"

*Ding dong* [horrible sound effects, me sowwy ;-;]

Satsuki gave an apologetic glance at the setter of Karasuno and stood up, going up to the door and letting inside the rest of the Karasuno Volleyball Club. Hinata kept praising her about her "awesomer than his place" small house, the senpais sat on the couch and teased a bit Kageyama for arriving earlier to make erm. . . inapropriate things with Satsuki and the other two female members of the Volleyball Team looked around happily. "You can sit on the couch or on the pillows I placed around the table. There are some snacks on the table" the raven head informed them, sitting besides Yachi and Kiyoko. Kiyoko knew about what had happened with Kageyama earlier and being like an older sister to the two other females, she advised her to tell Kageyama her true feelings about him and everything would be fine. Satsuki had tried but due to her bad luck, she wasn't able to.

"Yosh, minna" Sugawara started, smiling warmly to his teammates. "Let's start with the program!"

"Osu!!"

. . .

A small snorting was heard from the couch, making everyone turn their heads lazily towards the sleeping Hinata. He was snoring softly and that made everyone sweat drop except Yachi who blushed slightly when he saw his sleeping form. The orange head was lying on the raven setter of Karasuno, making an anime vain appear on his head. Satsuki chuckled softly which surprised the rest of the members more than Hinata's snoring but she ignored that and walked up to Hinata, lowering her body so she was in the same eye level as him. "Hinata-kun, we're ready to leave for Tokyo. Get up"

"NOOO WAIT FOR ME!!!!" Hinata jumped up from his sleep, screaming. After a second, he realized what was happening his lips pressed into a thin line, purple lines appearing to the side of his head and a gloomy aura floating around him. "Eto. . . You tricked me. . ."

Kageyama sighed and stood up, leaving Hinata's body to (almost) fall off the couch. "Hinata, I think it's time for us to leave. I don't want you to drool over me again" he hissed, a vein popping on the side of his head.

"Osu!"

The orange head stood up and followed his raven teammate, Satsuki following them to bid her goodnight. The two males thanked her and opened the door, first Hinata hopping off energetically and then Kageyama stepping off calmly. But before he could take any other step, a hand tugged on his sleeve and pulled him slightly back.

"Tobio" Satsuki's voice whispered to him, the setter raising an eyebrow at her. "Please. . . Wait for my response"

Then, Kageyama was freed from her grip and the door closed, leaving the two raven heads floating in dreamland.
