- Chapter 4 -

Misunderstanding

"You're the Queen of the Court"

Satsuki's body froze when Tsukishim'as words reached her ears. The girl opened her mouth to protest to his sayings but nothing came out of it. It was just like time and space had paused around them, only the chirping of the birds and the soft breeze making sounds around them. Tsukishima's dark orbs were staring at her as well- he couldn't believe what he had just said, or should I say, discovered.

Finally, Satsuki snapped out of this dangerous daze but her eyes stayed as wide as huge plates. "Tsu-Tsukishima-kun, this is not what you think! I'm not that Queen of the Court-- how did you call her? I mean, I may look like her but I'm not her!! A-And.. well... you got it wrong!"

The stuttering and stumbling in her words indeed made Tsukishima suspicious and not convinced by her. But again, how many possibilities are there to prove that Satsuki is her? the megane thought and sighed, his eyes drifting back to her. "Sorry, I think I indeed got that wrong" And with that, the blond haired male made his way back in the cafeteria, leaving the relieved girl alone in the balcony.

Satsuki left a small sigh of relief, her purple orbs glimmering at the fading sunlight. "Thank god he doesn't know"

Kageyama started digging in his food, along with Yamaguchi and Satsuki. They had left that cafeteria and had decided to grab something to eat; ending up in a pizza restaurant which was a bit overcrowded. Only Tsukishima didn't bother to eat since he was lost in his thoughts...

Is she lying to me... I wonder; it was obvious that she was lying previously but I don't know why she did that. Satsuki is a worldwide famous volleyball player and she wants to hide that? 

"TSUKKI!!" Yamaguchi's voice rang in Tsukishima's ears, almost making them bleed. The megane covered his ears annoyed, his three friends looking worriedly at him. "Is something wrong, Tsukki?"

Tsukishima shook his head negatively and put on his headphones again, receiving some confused looks from the three volleyball players. Yamaguchi let out a small yet sad sigh and continued eating his piece, though more depressed now.

Satsuki noticed the sudden change of personality and wondered if it was because of their previous conversation. The girl sighed and continued eating her pizza quietly, receiving some secret glances from Kageyama. The atmosphere started becoming more intense and awkward and none of them knew how to lighten it a little. Though, a certain orange head jumped right in front of their table, giving them a death glare and yelling, "GUYS!! I was waiting for you in front of the school the whole day!! Where have you been?!"

Hinata looked at his teammates' shocked expressions and then sighed, picking a seat besides Kageyama and Yamaguchi. "Ano, Hinata-kun?" Satsuki asked, motioning at Hinata to come closer. The orange headed male made his way besides Satsuki, receiving some well-hidden death glares from his raven haired teammate.

 "What's up?" Hinata asked Satsuki but he was immediately cut off by her who pulled him away from the table, everyone around it looking at her weirdly. When she was sure that none of them could hear them, she turned to the orange head and started talking. "I wanted to ask you if any of you has ever mentioned something about "Queen of the Court" or about a "Receiver"?"

The male started thinking but shook his head negatively, his brownish eyes staring straight into her core. "But I know the receives from practise, though!" he exclaimed with excitement which made the raven girl sweat drop instantly, wondering from where all of his excitement was coming. Both of them made their way back to the table after Satsuki thanked him but Kageyama's eyes were still staring at his childhood friend intensively. Could it be jealousy?

The paths of the volleyball team parted after two more hours, all of them satisfied by their small walk and chit-chat. Tsukishima and Yamaguchi said that they were going to stay in the centre of town for a little more while the three remaining members bid their goodbyes and took the train for their houses.

 Hinata was fidgeting all the time, not letting Satsuki close her eyes and take a small sleep in the train while Kageyama was frowning as usual and watching their surroundings from the train's window. The orange head noticed this sadly and bid his good-bye when he had arrived to the station besides his house. "Ja ne, Shiroshi-san, Kageyama! See ya in school!". And with that, the cheerful spiker made his way home, a big smile plastering on his face.

Now, only Kageyama and Satsuki were left in the empty train. The raven girl was currently sleeping, her face leaning on the glass of the window. Kageyama tsk-ed at this sight and sat besides her, carefully turning and placing her head on his shoulder while his cheeks had turned in a bright crimson color. "B-baka"

Satsuki squirmed around in her sleep slightly and she ended up being cuddled up on a blushing Kageyama who was biting his lip all this time. "I wonder what this girl is doing in her sleep anyways" he muttered to himself, resting his chin on her raven head. 

Soon, sleep overtook Kageyama too and he woke up only when he felt someone tapping continuously his shoulder. "Sir, this is the end of the line. Please, get out of the train". The King blinked a few times before opening fully his eyes and looked up at him; the driver of the train was waking him up because he had to close the train.

 Kageyama jumped up and excused himself, saying that he was going to leave immediately. There was a small problem though. Satsuki was still asleep and he didn't have the guts to wake her up again or he'd end up in the emergency room. He decided to give her a piggyback ride until her home, blushing when he succeeded to carry her on his back. The boy started walking up to her house slowly and steadily, leaving some groans from the extra weight he had to carry.

"I'm not that heavy, am I, Tobio?" a playful voice asked near Kageyama's ear which made him jump up and almost drop the now moving and fully woken-up female friend.

"Ba-Baka! How long have you been awake, huh?!" he asked frustrated, giving her a small death glare while she started giggling and laughing uncontrollably. "Urusai, baka!"

"You!! You must- ahahah! Seen your face back there! Buahahaha! When you started carrying me on your back I would have sworn that you had turned in a tomato or something! Ahahahah!!" Satsuki was now laughing uncontrollably, gripping on tightly on his shoulders and muffling her voice in his shirt.

The raven male continued blushing, boiling with anger from inside but either way, he couldn't ne angry with his childhood friend. After a lot of yelling and some laughs, they arrived in front of her locked house where he dropped her off of his back and on the ground. Satsuki pouted and rubbed her butt frustrated but gave him a slight smirk. "Then, oyasumi, Tobio~!"

The girl was ready to enter her home but Kageyama grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her out. Satsuki looked at him questionably and raised a confused eyebrow, "Nani?"

"Ano, I wanted to ask you something... WhatdidyoutalkaboutpreviouslywithHinata?" Kageyama rushed to ask, mentally slapping himself for doing that. Satsuki stayed there frozen, thinking about either telling him or not. 

She finally shook her head and smiled slightly at him. "We didn't talk about something important, no need to worry abou- Wait! You're jealous, aren't you~~?". Her previous smile modified into a wide smirk because of Kageyama's flushed cheeks and weird behaviour.

"Na-Nani? What are you talking about, I'm not jealous!"

"Then why did you ask me?"

"Because I'm... erm... curious! That's it!"

"Still not convincing meee~~"

"Alright, alright!" Kageyama breathed out loudly, grabbing her shoulder and staring at her straight into her purple orbs. "I really like you and I want you to be my girlfriend, Satsuki"

The raven girl stood frozen, her lips moving but not letting a sound escape them. She was utterly shocked and not prepared for this but... the time had come and she knew exactly what to tell him. "Tobio, I..."
