Chapter 2

Melody pov.
Imladris was more beautiful than I'd dreamed. The pillars, the gardens, the plants, the people. I could feel the life pulsating from each. All crawling towards me, letting me know it was there. I smiled and closed my eyes. Boromir cleared his throat. "Come on. You cannot stay on your horse all day" He said with humour. I opened my eyes and regarded him solemly. I dismounted and grabbed my bag, I  let the horse be lead away and I looked over to my left and saw a handsome Ellon arrive on a white gelding. I smiled kindly in his direction and inclined my head. He returned the gesture, giving me a faint smile of his own.

I walk away from Boromir after giving him a kind smile and saying a quick 'Thankyou' before walking
to a garden where a small stream runs through. I touch the water, feeling to cool wetness against my skin. So gentle, but can turn so deadly at any moment. I felt a presence behind me. "Welcome to Rivendell, Daughter of Souron" I heard a male voice say. I turned and saw him. I saw Elrond. 3000 years and he hadn't changed. "Greetings Lord Elrond. I am surprised that you even know I exist" I whisper. "Do not be so surprised Melody Lorena. I know many things" He replied. "Forgive me. I didn't intend to be rude" I whisper bowing my head. He smiled. "I thought you would be more like your father. Cruel. Heartless, yet I can see you are different. Kind. Brave. You feel the land and living things around you. You can feel the life in all things surrounding you, can you not?" Elrond explains. I look up, slightly teary. "How?" I ask breathlessly. "I knew your mother. She was the same as you are" He Replied gently. I looked away from him. "I cannot have anyone know. If they do, they will try to kill me" I whisper. Lord Elrond nods. "I hope it will not come to that" He replies. I nod. I draw my hand from the river and smile. "You home is Wonderful. So full of life and so giving" I compliment brightly. Elrond smiles at me. "Ah, it seems I found some good graces in the land" He replies smiling warmly. I nod. "Well, thankyou for your greetings My Lord, but if it is not too troubling, I will find somewhere to rest and change accordingly for the council" I state calmly and politly. "Yes, and it seems that you will need a guide" He replies smoothly. I sigh but nod.

Elrond leads me to a room and smiles. "This is where you will be staying. Take care and do not be late" Elrond says at last before walking away. I open the door and smile at the room. It's beautiful and bright, unlike my gloomy dark room at home. I place my bag down and lay on the bed. I close my eyes and rest.

It's not long later that I hear a knock on my door. I get up and open it, only to see the Ellon from before. He smiles at me. "Greetings" he says inclining his head. "Please, the pleasure is mine, my prince" I reply inclining my head and placing my hand over my heart. He sighs. "Of course you know" he sighs in annoyance. "Forgive me, did I say something wrong?" I ask. He smiles and shakes his head. "No. I have never seen you around. I thought I'd introduce myself to the dark beauty that is a mystery" He replies charmingly. I giggle. "No need for the flattery. I am just a commoner. No one special" I answer nonchalantly. He grins. "I do not believe that" he whispers into my ear, making my body feel warm. I feel the blush crawl up my neck and reach my cheeks, tinging them red. He smiles. "Ill see you at the council will I not?" He asks. I nod politely. "Yes" I say softly. He smiles. "Then I shall see you soon" he says with a bow and walks away. I close my door and draw a bath. I bathe quickly and then change into a silver dress, with a dagger in my boot incase I need it. Putting my braids back into my hair, I stand and leave the room. Heading for the councils meeting, I find my way and then seat myself on the very end, near Elrond. I spot Gandalf the Grey, Boromir, Gimli son of Gloin, Aragorn son of Arathorn, Legolas son of Thranduil and Frodo The hobbit. I looked around at the other folk who came. It seems that I have become the center of everyone's gaze. The only Woman in the council, among many men. I met all of their gazes and they soon decided I wasn't all the interesting, for they looked away. Then Elrond rose from his chair and the meeting began.

Hey guys. Sorry i know its a little slow, but it will pick up soon. Vote and comment.
