Song: "Sorry Not Sorry" by Demi Lovato
(Unedited)
I turned around quickly.
A man stood there. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed casually over his chest.
He had messy black hair that matched his clothes and had a tall, well-built frame.
"What are you doing here? Who are you?" I asked narrowing my eyes at him.
"You know who I am," he stated, his lips tilting up slightly.
It instantly hit me. "You're that vampire from my vision," I accused.
His smirk grew, "You're a smart one, Princess." He pushed off the wall and walked towards me.
I glared at him but didn't back away. That's what he wanted me to do.
"So here's the deal. How about you come with me and no one gets hurt. It would be a shame if something happened to your big, bad king of a mate," the man said nonchalantly. He trailed his fingers over the skin on my shoulder, which I immediately smacked away, shooting him another glare.
"Go fuck yourself," I retorted, closing my book and tucking it safely under my arm.
He smirked at me and crossed his arms over his chest once again. "No, I'd much rather have you do it for me."
I scrunched up my nose in disgust. "Get out of my room. Wait, no, get out of this house!"
He didn't budge as the smirk never left his face. "Make your decision, Princess."
"What do you want from me?" I questioned, standing up from the chair I was sitting on.
"Maybe I just want your company."
"Bullshit."
"Sorry, Princess. I can't tell you that," he replied, shrugging his shoulders.
I gritted my teeth. "Then how the hell am I supposed to make a decision if I don't know what I'm getting myself into?"
"Because I know that you don't want harm to come to anyone that you care about."
I felt my blood run cold and my fists clenched in anger.
He was right. I didn't want anyone to get hurt. Dammit.
He held his hand out to me wordlessly. I glared at it before taking his hand. Before I could change my mind, I felt something hit the back of my head and then I was met with darkness.

A bright light blinded me when my eyes snapped open. The only light in the room hung above me and I felt myself tied to a chair.
I had a sudden sense of déjà vu.
A man sat in front of me on another chair, the vampire who made an appearance in my room.
A grin made its way across his face when he saw that I was wake. His smoldering, dark-brown eyes was filled with mischief.
"Liana, I'm so glad that you are awake. We've got a bunch of things to discuss," he said cheerfully, leaning in his seat, bringing his face close to mine.
I narrowed my eyes at him. "Why am I tied to a chair? Is this really necessary?"
"Yes, so you don't do something stupid."
"No, you just don't want me to kick your ass."
Ignoring my comment, he switched subjects, "Now back to the subject of matter—"
I cut him off. "You were going to knock me out even if I refused to go with you, weren't you?" I accused, glaring daggers at him.
"Of course, but I had to make you think that you had a choice," he replied, leaning back in his chair.
"Asshole," I muttered under my breath. "I'm going to ask you again, what do you want?"
"I need you to talk to the Moon Goddess for me."
I stared at him like he was crazy. "I don't know how to do that."
"You don't?"
"That would be cool and all, but I'm afraid I can't."
He looked confused for a second before shrugging his shoulders. "I guess you haven't discovered that yet."
"What? You're telling me that eventually I will be able to talk to the Moon Goddess."
"That's exactly what I'm saying."
"Damn." I really didn't know what to say to that. It would be kinda scary to be honest.
"I guess you're kind of useless. For now."
He stood up from his chair and circled around me, observing me. He stopped in front of my face and squatted so he was eye-level with me.
"You really are a beauty," he stated as he twisted a piece of my hair around my finger. His hand moved to cup my face. He tilted my head up as his eyes examined it.
"And you have beautiful eyes. Such a strange color considering that its nowhere near similar to your parents'."
I jerked my face away from his touch and glared at him.
"What are you going to do now? Lock me up?" I couldn't help but laugh. "Good luck with that." Because when I get out of these ties, I'm going to make it impossible for you to ever have kids.
"Don't be silly. I'm going to let you go, but I will come back for you," he told me, his lips tilting up in a smile. Before I could say anything, I was knocked out again.

My eye lids felt heavy as I tried to open them. My throat felt dry. Damn, I need water.
I looked around and realized that I was back in my room. The moon was shining brightly into my room and I suddenly felt relieved that I wasn't gone too long.
I suddenly felt hungry, so I decided to get something to eat. I climbed off my bed and left my room. I ignored how cold the hardwood flooring was and continued down the stairs. I noticed all the lights were still off and it was deadly silent.
I walked into the kitchen and towards the fridge before opening it. I frowned when all I found were healthy things. Closing the fridge, I looked through the cabinets. I grinned when I saw an unopened package of Oreos. Bingo.
I opened the package and took out an Oreo. I split it open and then began eating the parts. I almost choked on the cookie when I felt an arm wrap around my waist from behind and pulled me against a hard chest.
"Where have you been?" A chilling voice growled lowly into my ear. He tightened his hold around me.
"Sleeping."
"Bullshit," he growled again. "I checked your room earlier as well as the whole house! You weren't here. You've been gone the whole day and didn't tell me where you were going. I thought someone took you."
He sounded angry. Really angry. But I was gone for a day? Well no wonder I was so hungry.
I had to tell him the truth. "I was taken, but I was brought back."
"What?"
He turned me around to face him, our faces only inches apart. His eyes blazed with anger and his jaw clenched tightly. "Who took you?"
I almost forgot how to speak, but I quickly found my voice. "A vampire. He didn't hurt me." Aside for the fact that he knocked you out. Twice.
I ignored my wolf and watched as the expression on Damien's face didn't change.
"A vampire?" I nodded my head. Damn, he looked hot when he was angry.
"What did he want?"
"He wanted me to talk to the Moon Goddess, but I can't, so he let me go. He said he'll come back once I learn how."
Damien just stared down at me with angry eyes. He wasn't angry at me. I was still holding the package of Oreos. I took another one out and split it open, like I did with the other one, and ate it.
"What are you doing?"
"Eating. What does it look like I'm doing?" I replied through a mouthful.
The corners of his mouth slightly twitched. "I can see that." He brought his face closer to mine. I slowly stopped chewing. "Why are you eating it like that?"
I knew that he was referring to me taking apart the Oreo and eating the cookie and the cream separately.
"Why not?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
"You're so weird."
I shot him a glare which caused him to smirk. I didn't know how to react. It was the first time he wasn't frowning or something.
Ignoring my stare, he grabbed an Oreo from the package and took a bite of it. I couldn't help but watch him chew, the way the muscles in his jaw worked. My eyes scanned the rest of his body. He had on a tight-fitting, white T-shirt that hugged his muscles and a pair of sweats that hung loosely on his hips. I could now see the intricate, ink-designs crawling up his arms and disappearing under the sleeves of his shirt. His hair was messy as if he ran his fingers through it multiple times.
I felt fingers lift my chin up to look at his face. "You're staring."
"So what? I should be allowed to," I replied honestly. stepping away from him. I wanted to go eat my Oreos somewhere he wasn't so I wouldn't get distracted.
I felt his hands grab me by the waist and pulled me back towards him. I was suddenly able to feel all of him.
His lips found their way next to my ear. "Why stare at me when you can touch me."
I felt myself heat up at his words. At that moment, I really wanted to. Especially when his long fingers toyed with the hem of my tank top, lightly brushing against the skin underneath. I didn't know how to react to his touch. So many dirty thoughts swarmed through my head. I knew that he could smell my arousal clearly by the way he groaned under his breath.
His nose skimmed my exposed neck and his lips lightly grazed the skin.
"Seems like you want to touch me too," I mumbled, my hold tightening on the Oreos.
"You have no fucking idea," he breathed out as he pressed opened-mouth kisses along the column of my throat. He grabbed the side of my neck and tilted my head back to give himself better access.
Holy hell!
I felt aroused in more places than one. I could feel his arousal pressing against my ass. I was overwhelmed by his strong, minty scent that both my wolf and I were already starting to love.
Using my strength, I pulled away from his strong grip easily.
"Goodnight, Damien," I said before pressing a kiss to his cheek. I offered him a smirk and then left him by himself while I took the Oreos with me.
I went back to my room to watch TV and eat the rest of the cookies. My thoughts, however, kept drifting back to Damien. I couldn't stop thinking about his chilling eyes, his thick hair, his sharp jawline, his strong muscles, everything. I didn't think I'd feel this way so quickly.
This wasn't supposed to happen this soon. I needed to remind myself about the advice Preston gave me.
Ignoring my TV, I leaned back on my bed. Artemis wouldn't stop with the images. I'd never been so tempted in my life.
Stupid mate bond.
Artemis could feel that both him and his wolf wanted us too.
With a sigh, I got off my bed and walked out of my room. I noticed the light in the gaming room was on and decided to go in there. I opened the door and frowned when I saw that Damien wasn't in there. The door to his secret room was cracked open with the light on. I remembered how he reacted when I first went in there. I didn't regret looking. It was another part of him that I wanted to know.
I wasn't going to go in, but my feet carried me that way anyways. I didn't open the door any wider but just peaked in. A single lamp was on, only lighting up the desk Damien was sitting at. The desk faced a large window that took up the whole wall. I noticed black ink peeking out of the neckline of his shirt. How did I not notice that before? He had a look of concentration as he held a pencil in his left hand. Different kinds of drawing pencils, erasers, and tools were scattered across his desk.
Different pieces of artwork were scattered around the room. They were of different things like sceneries, animals, plants, houses and buildings, people, and even tattoos. Different mediums were used for them and some were hanging on the There was so much talent locked up into one room.
"I thought I told you not to come here," Damien spoke not turning around from his desk.
I opened the door farther open and stepped into the room, observing what I hadn't already seen. "You're very talented. I can't even draw a stick figure," I told him as I came up to him.
"By the way, when you tell someone not to go somewhere, they're most likely going to have an urge to go there even more," I said while glancing over his shoulder. On the paper in front of him, he sketched out a wolf in a forest. It looked very detailed and realistic. I didn't understand how someone could make it look so easy.
He glanced at me before looking back down at his paper. With a sigh he picked up his eraser and began erasing it. I gaped at him.
"What the hell are you doing?" All that hard work went to waste. "It looked perfectly fine!"
"No it didn't," he replied sitting his pencil down. I frowned at him still not understanding what was wrong with it.
"What are you doing in here?" He asked, turning around in his chair so he could face me fully. I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't want to tell him that the reason I was looking for him was because I had certain urges.
"I was just curious."
He didn't say anything but just stared at me. My eyes scanned the room again before landing back at him. I looked at the tattoos on his arms and couldn't help but wonder if he designed them himself. Also looking at his drawings of houses, he probably designed his house as well.
"What do you like to draw the most?"
"People."
"Why?" I asked curiously.
"Because I've seen how they've changed through the years."
I nodded my head as I looked back at his different artworks. I did notice how different a lot of his drawings of people were. Not only were they from different years in time, but they were also of different ethnicities. I noticed that all his pieces were each unique and different.
"What are your talents?"
I didn't expect him to ask me that. The only things I was really good at was soccer and maybe swimming.
"I give a mean blowjob," I joked. I watched the expression in his face turn dark. I couldn't help but laugh at him, "I'm kidding. I like to play soccer. Can being good at reading be considered a talent? Oh and I can eat a lot, especially brownies."
He cleared his throat and unclenched his fists. "You play soccer?" He finally asked.
"Yeah, I was on the girl's varsity team before I came here." A look of guilt passed over his face and he looked down at his hands.
"There's enough space in the backyard. You can play or practice or whatever it is that you do," he said quietly while scratching the back of his neck. I watched his muscles move from the movement.
"Thank you."
He nodded his head before standing up from his chair and turned the light off. When he turned back around, he nearly ran into me. His arm shot out to keep me from falling. Our faces were only inches away and his eyes darkened with lust as they kept flickering down towards my lips. His icy blue eyes were so captivating, I noticed the flecks of silver in them. His full lips looked extremely inviting.
Before I could make any moves, he closed the distance and pressed his lips to mine. His lips were soft but he kissed me firmly. He kept one arm securely around my waist while the other one cupped the side of my neck. I kissed him back, digging my fingers into his hair.
He tilted his head to deepen the kiss. He slipped his tongue into my mouth and I felt my grip tighten on his hair. He groaned quietly as I tugged on it. He slid his hand up into my hair. Our breaths mixed and became filled with need. My heart pounded into my chest as our kisses became more urgent. Our breaths became more labored.
His hand left my hair and slid down to my hips. Both his hands slid under my tank top and gripped my waist tightly, his hands causing my skin to heat up from under his touch.
I had never been so turned on in my life. I had never been filled with so much need. Of course these were feelings that only a mate could give.
And I didn't realize how strong these feelings were going to be when I thought that I could hold myself back. But now, I wasn't so sure if I could.

So what did you guys think?
I know that it's only chapter 13 but with this story I didn't want their 'first kiss' to be like chapter 20 something. I want there to be more moments between the two of them throughout the book.
Rejecting the Alpha is at 14M reads! I'm so happy with how many reads it has and its all thanks to you, my readers. Thank you for all your support.
Thank you to those who have been sending me covers to put in the chapters. I have so many, and I am putting them in my story in the order that I received them.
Until the next update!
