*I know Bloodletting was supposed to happen a while ago but remember that I'm doing my own timeline!*

"So, whatcha doin?"

"Jesus Christ, Kai!" Claire shouted spinning around to see her future brother-in-law had followed her into the forest. "What are you doing? Why are you following me?" She snapped. He grins wider feeding off of her annoyance.

"Pretty sure I asked you first" He moves closer to her. "So, what's the Queen of New Orleans doing in the middle of the forest?" He asks raising an eyebrow. "You wouldn't be sneaking out to find Madelyn on your own would you?"

"Why don't you go follow Penny around?" Claire suggests.

"That's a good idea, I'll go find my little Puddin" Kai nods and Claire narrows her eyes at him slightly knowing it wouldn't be that easy to get rid of him. "You know, she's probably with Elijah, she seems to like being around him" Kai pouts slightly. "But I know how to get them away from each other" He smirks at Claire. "I'll just tell him his precious little Queen is wondering the forest all by her lonesome"

"You're going to blackmail me?" Claire asks. He grins and nods. She sighs and begins walking into the forest. "Well, come on" She says. He grins and matches her pace.

"So, where we going, sis?" He asks wrapping an arm around her shoulders. Claire ducks out of his hold and gives him a look.

"The Bayou"

"Isn't that where the wolves are?" He asks and she nods. "And Kitty Cat?"

"Madelyn's biological father is a werewolf, along with that bitch he's been traveling with" Claire grumbles. "I know Madelyn's out there, I can't explain it but I guess it's just my instincts"

"Supernatural, sweet" Kai nods following her around the trees and towards the werewolf infested lands.

"Why are you even following me?"

"Because if anything happened to you or her" Kai says poking Claire's stomach. "My little Puddin would be upset and I don't know what to do when she's upset" He says with a confused and conflicted look. "I love it when she gets frustrated or angry" He says grinning. "She gets this look and her nose scrunches up, sexy"

"I really don't wanna hear how sexy my sister is" Claire tells him. He shrugs.

"Point is, I can handle frustration and anger but I don't get it when she gets upset or sad, I don't... I don't understand it and I don't know what to do" He explains. "So, the answer to my problem is to just never let her get sad" He says as if he's solved world hunger.

"And that means you have to follow me through the woods?" Claire asks him. He nods simply.

"Besides, I like Kitty Cat," Kai says shrugging. "She knows how to have a good time." Claire smiles longing to have her daughter in her arms again. "And you know, I kind of killed my old family and I actually like this family, funny enough," He says shrugging. "If anyone's gonna kill us, it's gonna be each other, not some nobody"

"How did you get away from Penny?" Claire asks.

"She's busy with Hanna and the others. They're doing this spell to find that girl... what's her name?"

"We're trying to find a lot of people and dealing with a lot of problems at the moment, Kai" Claire tells him. "You're going to have to be more specific" Kai rolls his eyes and then snaps.

"Vanessa" He tells her. "I guess they're worried she's gonna try something with us all worried about our other problems"

"Makes sense" Claire says nodding. "Vanessa always shows up at the worst moment"

"What's her deal anyways?" Kai asks her.

"She was apart of my father's old coven. Tried to kill me when I was in college but it didn't work out" Claire says giving him the short version. "We thought she had died but she didn't so now we're back at it again"

"Interesting" Kai nods. "So, that's where my Puddin is" Kai says. "How'd you get away from literally everyone else? You're not that good at sneaking out and I honestly didn't think the others were that stupid"

"Klaus and Kol are following another lead on where Madelyn might be" Claire explained. "Elijah is dealing with business at the plantation, Henrik was with me but I might have harmlessly put a sleeping spell on him. Caroline, Enzo and Finn are at the Abattoir"

"And what was your plan for me?" Kai asks.

"I didn't think I needed one, you haven't left Penny's side since you showed up"

"And yet here I am" Kai laughs smirking. Claire rolls her eyes but smiles.

"Yeah, two siphoners walking into God knows what with no one and nothing to siphon from" Claire tells him.

"I wouldn't say we had nothing to siphon from" Kai says causing Claire to stop walking. Kai moves in front of her with a wicked grin. He digs his hand into his pocket and pulls out two thick wristbands. Claire could sense the magic radiating off of it.

"What are these?" 

"Enchanted wristbands" He tells her obviously. "Found the spell from them in Hanna's grimoire. It was a rough spell, needed some tweaking but I figured it out" He said tossing one in the air and catching it with his hand.

"What's the catch?" Claire asks slowly. He smirks and wiggles his eyebrows at her.

"You'll owe me" He says shrugging.

"I've known the Mikaelson's for a long time, I know better than to just blindly give out favors" She says crossing her arms. Kai rolls his eyes and sighs dramatically.

"Where's the fun in knowing?" He asks grinning but she doesn't budge. He releases another dramatic sigh. "I may or may not want some assistance in finding the rest of my family and dealing with them" He says shrugging. "I help you get Kitty Cat, I give you the enchantment wristbands, you and your very extensive resources help me and my 'family' problems"

"And what do you plan on doing with my help and the rest of your family?" Claire asks tilting her head.

"Do you really wanna discuss details right now? Who knows what happening to Kitty Cat" Kai says holding out his hand. "We're family now right? I shouldn't have to make a deal for your help or at least that's what Puddin says" Kai says shrugging.

"You're right, we are family" She nods shaking his hand. "We'll help you with your family problems" Kai smirks and fastens the enchantment wristband around her wrist.

"Excellent" He grins. "Now, I'm not exactly sure on how powerful these things are or how long they last but I'm sure we'll find out"

"I guess we will" Claire nods and the two of them set out again.

"So, why exactly are you trying to be Lone Ranger?" He asks her.

"Because I know how protective my mates are and how much they love Madelyn, I also know how they'll kill Tyler and Hayley for this" Claire tells them. "Guess I want that pleasure for myself"

"I'm sure they would let you kill them had you just spoken to them about it" Kai says. "What's the real reason?"

"We don't know what we're getting into" Claire tells him. "It'll be easier for me to get in and get out before sending my mates and the hybrids in to finish the job. If we all go in guns blazing, the wrong people are going to die"

"And what happens if you would have died?" Kai asks. Claire grins.

"Ye of little faith" Claire says smirking. "I can handle Tyler and Hayley without my mates breathing down my neck" She tells him.

"So this is an I'm-not-useless act?" Kai asks. 

"I know I'm not useless" She tells him.

"Not in politics" He points out. "You've been kicking ass in that department but in actual ass kicking you've been lacking" He shrugs. "I mean being sent to a whole other world, being treated like glass from the others simply because you're pregnant, seems to me like you're trying to prove something"

"I'm trying to save my daughter while dealing with my idiotic ex" She tells him. 

"Whatever helps you sleep at night" Claire sighs rubbing her face but doesn't say anything. "So, do you actually have a plan or are we just winging it?" He asks.

"Find my daughter, kill anyone that gets in our way"

"I love this plan" He grins sadistically.

"Claire Mikaelson... Oh wait, it's not Mikaelson yet, is it?" Hayley asks tilting her head as she appears in front of the two of them.

"Let me guess, this is that bitch" Kai assumes.

"Not much to look at, is she?" Claire asks and Kai smirks while Hayley glares.

"Who are you?" Hayley asks eyeing Kai suspiciously.

"The muffin man" Kai wiggles his eyebrows. "So, whatcha waiting on?" He asks Claire while keeping his eyes on Hayley. "Didn't you say you wanted to kill her?"

"All in good time" Claire responds.

"Anything happens to me, Madelyn's in the wind. You'll never find her" Hayley warns.

"If you hurt a hair on her body, I'll have you begging at my feet" Claire growls. "I will find my daughter and you won't be able to stop me" Hayley holds her gaze for a moment before slowly nodding.

"I believe you" She nods. "You'll find Madelyn, eventually" Hayley inches closer. "But how long will it take? How old will she be when you finally find her? What will she have learned from her real dad by the time you have found her? Yeah, you'll find Madelyn but maybe by then, she won't want to be found"

"Where is she?" Claire snapped.

"With some friends, don't worry, Tyler won't let anything happen to her. She is his daughter anyways"

"Tyler doesn't give a damn about her" Claire snapped. "He didn't fight for her, he didn't love her, all he did was run"

"What choice did you give him?!" Hayley shouted.

"I gave him a chance!" Claire shouted. "And what did he do? He ran. Then when he did come back he didn't fight for her. He got involved with Caroline and then he ran from her as well"

"Oh, yeah, I remember that" Hayley smirked remembering just who Tyler ran too. Fury burned through Claire's veins and in an instant Hayley was on her knees screaming in pain.

Kai grinned watching Hayley grip her head when he was knocked out, Claire falls to the ground moments later. Hayley gasps for breath and glares at Claire's unconscious body.

"What do we do with him?" Dwayne asks looking at Kai.

"Leave him, we don't need him" Hayley said. "We just need her" Dwayne nods and picks Claire up, leaving Kai on the ground.

"She looks as beautiful as she did in high school" Tyler says more to himself as Dwayne puts Claire in the chair, tying her down.

"Focus Tyler" Hayley says warningly.

"Don't use that tone with me" Tyler growled back. Hayley steps back slightly and Tyler looks back at Claire. "Time to wake up" He says punching his ex-girlfriend.

"What is this place?" Claire asks looking around in the little shack.

"The armpit of Louisiana" Tyler comments. Claire's eyes settle on him and she glares at him.

"Where's Madelyn?" Claire snapped. "Where's Kai?" She asks noticing he isn't in the room with her.

"Madelyn's somewhere safe, I don't know who Kai is" Tyler answers her truthfully.

"What are you doing here, Tyler?" Claire asks. "Surely you know you're not going to leave New Orleans alive"

"I'm not as stupid as you think I am, I have a plan"

"A very stupid plan" Claire comments. "You were dead the moment you took my daughter"

"She's my daughter too!"

"Some father you've been!"

Tyler growls clenching his fists. He takes a deep breath knowing he needed to keep his temper under control for the moment.

"You ready for this?" Tyler asks looking at Dwayne. The fellow werewolf nods.

"Let's do it"

"Tyler, if you let me go and give me Madelyn, I'll give you and your bitch a days head start" Claire tries to bargain as she slowly siphons from her wristband. "If you don't, you will die" 

"What makes you think I'm afraid to die?" Tyler asks looking at her as he kneels before a duffel bag. He pulls out a rather large syringe.

"What are you doing?" She asks quietly. He doesn't answer her. Dwayne grips her shoulders tightly as Tyler inches towards her.

"You and Klaus destroyed everything good in my life" Tyler snapped. "So, I'm gonna take away the thing you both want the most"

"I don't fucking think so!" Tyler tenses as Claire's eyes darkened considerably. Using the magic she siphoned from her wristband, Claire breaks from her restraints. Dwayne flies backwards as an invisible force tosses him against the shed wall.

Tyler goes to attack but Claire overpowers him. An invisible forces pins him against the wall and no matter how hard he tries he cannot move. Claire's eyes go to Hayley but before she could do anything Hayley shows her a live feed from her phone.

"If you don't it down I'll have her killed" Hayley says. Tyler's eyes snap to Hayley, rage filling them. He wanted his daughter for himself, he didn't like Hayley threatening her.

"Where is she?" Claire growls.

"She'll be on the Other Side if you don't sit the fuck down" Hayley snapped. "Is that not enough?" Hayley asked tilting her head. The she-wolf swipes on her phone and another live feed shows through of her mother, Liz, in Mystic Falls. "Sit. Down."

Claire clenches her jaw but releases Tyler and sits down. Tyler flashes over to Hayley and knocks her out painfully. They had agreed to threaten Liz, not Madelyn.

"I'm going to enjoy killing you" Claire growled. Tyler gabs her with the syringe and draws blood. The pain was evident but she refused to show it. She watches as Dwayne goes to him. Tyler injects the syringe into his neck and then snaps his neck.

"Don't get all judgy! Dwayne knew what he was getting into, he volunteered" Tyler snapped.

 "What are you trying to do?"

"Dwayne is a werewolf who died with your blood in his system. The same blood you share with your hybrid baby"

"You're trying to turn him into a hybrid? That's impossible!"

"I've been running with wolf packs all over the country. One of them was tight with a witch. She had nightmare visions about your baby and how Klaus could use its blood to make an army of hybrid slave"

"Klaus would never do that!" Claire snapped glaring at him. "He loves this child, something you don't understand"

"You're right, I don't understand!" Tyler snapped. "I don't understand how a cold hearted killer like him could love anything"

"You'd have to be capable of loving to understand it" Claire snipped at him. "Klaus has all he needs to create hybrids, Tyler, he still has Elena's blood"

"Eventually it'll run out and then what's he going to do?"

"Stop making hybrids. He would never turn our daughter into a blood bag, I'd never let him" 

"Just like you'd never let anything happen to Madelyn? How you'd never go behind your mates backs like you're doing now? Or how you'd never put an unborn child in a threatening situation?" 

Claire looked down and away from Tyler. She didn't doubt Klaus, not for a second but she was hit with guilt. She promised to protect Madelyn yet Tyler was able to snatch her easily. She preached about working together yet she went off on her own. She wanted to protect her loved ones, her children, yet she puts her unborn baby into an uncertain situation.

"Face it, Claire, you're not fit to be a mother." Tyler told her. "Madelyn is better off with me, better off with other werewolves. If you were smart, you'd get rid of that child in your stomach because it'll just be another slave to Klaus. It'll only be a matter of time before it's in danger and you fuck up."

"No" Claire whispers shaking her head. "I'll be better"

"Better?" Tyler laughs. "You've been Madelyn's mother for how long? And look where she's at, with me"

"I'll get her back, I'll protect her. Both of them, I'll do better" Claire said determined.

"If only you shared such determination with Aaron and Theodore" Tyler says. "It'll be a miracle if this baby doesn't end up like its brothers" Tyler says shrugging. "You say you love the Mikaelson's but they're gonna be your downfall, Claire. They're a curse"

"You're wrong" She whispers.

"Am I?" He asks tilting his head.

"I make mistakes, a lot of them. Maybe I'm not a good mother, maybe I'm not a good leader, I don't know. But I do believe in them. I know they'd do anything for our family. They'll fix my mistakes, they'll be better"

"You're delusional" Tyler tells her shaking his head. "I'm not going to let your mistakes be the death of my daughter and I'm not going to let you bring in another slave for Klaus"

Before Claire could comment back, Dwayne wakes up. He gasps and freaks out. Claire can feel her heart hammering in her chest. She knew she needed to get out of here but she didn't want to escape if it meant her mother and child would be in danger.

Claire had made contact with Elijah while talking to Tyler. She told him about Madelyn and her mother, she told him about Kai and the general area of where she was. She hoped it would be enough.

"You're gonna have to feed on her" Tyler says walking to Claire. While she didn't like it she couldn't help but to be curious if his theory was right or not.

Claire holds back a whimper as Tyler digs a knife against her throat. Dwayne growls and suddenly begins feeding on her. Claire couldn't stop the scream of pain that left her lips.

Dwayne only fed for a few moments before he fell to the ground and began to have a seizure. Tyler watches him carefully until he stops moving.

"Look at me!" Tyler shouted. "You're ok" Tyler whispers realizing it worked.

"I'm better than ok"
