"Do you think if our mates found us drooling over Ryan Reynolds they would track him down and kill him?" Caroline wonders her eyes glued to the screen as she and Claire watched him hack at a wooden boat shirtless in The Proposal.

"Probably" Claire says eating some pickles. "But it's a risk I'm more than willing to take" The pair of them giggle. This was their second round with The Proposal. They had also watched The Hitman's Bodyguard, The Amityville Horror and of course Blade: Trinity.

"Same" Caroline nods in agreement. "Enzo gets jealous and it's very sexy" Caroline daydreams about her mate with desire.

"Klaus and Kol are the two that show their jealous on the outside, the others are more subtle and controlled... at least until we're in the bedroom" Claire smirks.

"Men are so easy" Caroline says and Claire hums in agreement. Once the movie ended Caroline got up to put in a different one when Claire felt it.

"Elijah" Claire whispers panicked. Caroline turns to her, her confusion turning to concern when she noticed the frantic look on Claire's face. 

Claire becomes more panicked when she tries to reach for Elijah through their bond only to find it blocked. Elijah normally has walls around his mind just to help Claire not feel so overwhelmed all the time but they're never this strong, not to her. The more she tries to reach him the thicker his mental wall becomes. Claire knew it isn't Elijah's doing, she knows something's wrong.

"Claire, what is it?" Finn asks appearing in front of her snapping her from her thoughts. He kneels in front of her. One of his hands rest on her leg while the other gently caresses her face helping her focus on him. "What's wrong?" He asks calmly.

"Elijah" She whispers feeling breathless. "Something's wrong with Elijah"

"What is it?" Finn asks and Claire shakes her head.

"I don't know" She whispers. "I can't reach him but something's wrong" Finn slowly nods and kisses her forehead wanting to help keep her calm.

"Do you know where he was?" Finn asks.

"Klaus, he went with Klaus after breakfast" She tells him. Finn nods and reaches for a phone. He calls his younger hybrid brother only for there to be no answer which doesn't help Claire's sanity.

"Can you reach Klaus?" Finn asks her. Claire takes a moment to reach out to him.

"They split up around midday" Claire told him what Klaus told her through their bond. "Elijah went looking for Celeste"

"He had to have found her" Caroline says. "She had to have done something to him"

"We have to find him" Claire says standing up. "I can't feel him, I don't know what she's doing to him"

"You need to stay here" Caroline says pointing at her. Claire desperately wants to argue but Caroline's look hardens. Claire sighs and nods. "I'm going to go find Enzo and Kol, the three of us will find this bitch and Elijah. We'll bring him back to you, alright?"

"Please hurry" Claire pleaded.

"I will, just stay here" Caroline says before leaving. Claire stands up and begins to pace.

"Where's Madelyn?" Claire asks Finn.

"In the library" Finn says walking closer to her. "She's fine, she's reading all about her new favorite princess The Little Mermaid" Claire smiles.

"Aurora didn't last long did it?" Claire whispers.

"About as long as Cinderella" Finn says pulling her against his chest. "She's fine. She's having fun right now" He kiss her forehead.

"Do you think it's a mistake staying here?" Claire whispers. "We'e been having nothing but problems since the moment we arrived"

"You know we don't have to stay here, princess" Finn reminds her. "If you want to leave Klaus and the others will understand"

"I love this place" She tells him with a small smile. "I love the city and the plantation. I love our life here but we have a fight on our hands every corner we turn. Is that the kind of life we want to give our children?" She asks softly. "I want this place to be my home, our home but not at the expense of my children."

"This conflict, it won't last forever" Finn tells her. "Right now, we're taking back control of the city and others are fighting against us. That's just what happens when you take control from someone. We have the Vampires on our side and now we're fighting the witches. From what I understand, the witches have always been a force to reckon with. But we are going to come out on top"

"And whenever we take control of the witches, we still have to deal with the werewolves" Claire mutters resting her head on his shoulder.

"We deal with them the same way we deal with all the other werewolves. We give them the same option you gave the hybrids we have now."

"They'll refuse. This is their home, we're the outsiders to them. I doubt they're going to want to negotiate with us"

"If diplomacy doesn't work we'll use different measures"

"And just like that, we're in yet another war" Claire grumbles. Finn tightens his grip around her. "How many wars are we gonna have to fight until we have peace?" She asks him.

"I'll fight all the wars in the world to make you happy" Finn tells her. She smiles and leans her head back to look at him. "We're gonna be fine." He promises her. "We're gonna take control of our city and all is going to be well"

"I love you" Claire whispers caressing his face. "I just want our family safe and happy" She whispers.

"I want the same" Finn nods kissing her forehead. "And we will have that" He promises. She smiles and goes to kiss him when her phone rings. Her head snaps towards it, her eyes widening when she sees it's Elijah.

"Elijah?" She whispers.

"Claire" He says through the phone. She sighs as an overwhelming amount of relief floods through her.

"Where are you? What's going on?" She asks quickly.

"I don't have time to explain. Where are you?" Claire frowns her eyebrows at the urgency in his voice.

"The Plantation, where else?" Claire looks at Finn confused.

"Listen to me. Celeste is more powerful and cunning than we anticipated. Niklaus, Rebekah - you're all in danger" Elijah tells her.

"Elijah, what are you talking about? What danger?"

"I don't know her plan. Get Madelyn and get out" Elijah stresses. Claire shares a look with Finn. The eldest Mikaelson brother races towards the library to get Madelyn. "When you get out, find Asher and Rebekah. Celeste mentioned something about her, Niklaus and you. She said she was gonna make me choose who to save" Elijah explains as Finn returns with Madelyn on his hip.

Madelyn had fallen asleep in the library. Not wanting to wake her up, Finn moved carefully. Claire smiles slightly at the sight of her relaxed sleeping face resting on Finn's shoulder.

"We'll find her, you find Klaus. I'm with Finn, we're leaving right now" Claire says as the three of them go towards the door but find it impossible to leave.

"What is it?" Elijah asks sensing something's wrong. Claire looks at Finn.

"There's a spell, it won't let us leave" Claire tells him. The moment she tells him that they're trapped inside the house a fire starts waking Madelyn who begins to cry. The phone gets disconnected and Claire can only hope Elijah can find a way to get them out.

"Take her" Finn says handing Madelyn to Claire. Claire tries to soothe her while Finn tries to break them out but the spell prevents them. The smoke begins to fill the house as the fire catches on.

"Madelyn, listen to me" Claire says setting her down. "Stay right next to me, understand?" She says. Madelyn cries but nods holding onto Claire's leg. Claire takes a few steps towards a nearby table and pulls the cloth off of it. She grabs the flower vase and soaks the cloth with the water inside. 

"Mommy!" Madelyn screams in fear as the fire gets even closer to them.

"Hold this against your mouth," Claire says pressing the cloth against her face kneeling beside her. Claire coughs and tries not to inhale the smoke. She stays as low to the floor as she can go with Madelyn. "It's gonna be ok, baby, Papa Elijah's coming" She says pulling Madelyn to her chest. "It's gonna be ok, I've got you"

A moment later Claire hears a window shattering. Before she can even look arms wrap around her and Madelyn taking her outside. Madelyn and  Claire continue to cough and gasp in the clean air.

"Calm down, take deep breaths" Elijah tells the pair of them calmly. Madelyn shakes and continues to cling to her mother, tears falling down her face. "You're safe now, it's alright" Elijah comforts petting her hair lightly.

"Finn?" Claire asks looking around.

"I'm fine, I'm right here" Finn says from beside her.

"Find a doctor, I want Madelyn and I checked" Finn nods kissing her head before disappearing. Claire then looks towards Elijah while rubbing Madelyn's back soothingly.

"Patches!" Madelyn cried for her cat struggling in her mothers arms. "Mommy! Patches!"

"Patches is in the barn, remember?" Claire asks her.

"You sure?" Madelyn sniffles. Claire and Elijah share a look. Elijah disappears and finds the cat laying in the hay in one of the stables. He takes the cat, despite the meows of protest, and brings it to his daughter.

"He's right here, sweetheart" Elijah says placing the cat in her arms.

"Patches!" Madelyn shouts happily. "Thank you, Papa" Claire smiles as Madelyn hugs the death out of the cat. The cat looks grumpy but lets her hug him tightly.

"Your welcome" Elijah says kissing her head.

"What happened Elijah?" Claire asks seriously. "What's going on?"

"Celeste is taking her revenge on me and our family. She blames Niklaus for her death and is angry I didn't protect her when we were together" He explains. 

"Why go after Rebekah?" Claire asks.

"When we were together, Rebekah was around, undaggered at the time" Elijah explains. "Celeste doesn't know much nor care much about Finn, Kol and Henrik, they haven't wronged her."

"Any other crazy Ex's I should know about?" Claire asks him. 

"I'll let you know if we cross any others" Elijah says with a small smile. "For now, let's get you two out of here" Claire nods standing up. "I'll tell Finn to meet us at the compound"

"Alright" Claire says before looking at Madelyn. "Patches stays here" She says. Madelyn pouts. 

"What if he goes near the fire?" Madelyn whines.

"We can put him back in the barn and let him hunt mice" Madelyn sighs dramatically but nods. Once Patches was in the barn and the hybrids were working on trying to stop the fire, Elijah takes Claire and Madelyn into the city and into the compound.

When they arrive at the compound they find everyone but Penelope and Kai (who already left on their quest to find Kai's family) and Klaus and Rebekah. Caroline felt extremely guilty for leaving Claire and Finn but Claire assured her there was nothing she could do.

Kol felt even more murderous towards the New Orlean's witches, if that was even possible. He felt ashamed that they were once his own coven and wants nothing more than to wipe all of them from the face of the Earth and rebuild.

"Mommy" Madelyn says as Claire cleans her up in a bathtub. "Is our home going to be ok?"

"I'm sure it will be, we'll fix it up. Make it look like new" Claire assures her. Madelyn smiles.

"Good. I like our home, it's fun" Madelyn says playing in the water.

"You do, do you?" Claire asks. Madelyn nods. "It's funner than our last home. Can we stay?"

"Yeah, we can stay baby" Claire nods kissing her forehead. Claire rubs her chest as the aching pain slowly increases. She had felt a prick in her chest earlier but with the adrenaline with the fire she hardly processed the feeling but now she was relaxing the feeling was getting worse and she knew it had to do with Klaus.

"Come on, let's get out and get something to eat, yeah?" Claire says and Madelyn nods climbing out of the tub. Claire dries her off and gives her clothes to change into.

"Madelyn, I made you a sandwich" Caroline says. Madelyn nods and tiredly walks towards her aunt. Caroline gives Claire a look and nods towards the room everyone is in. Claire sighs and nods leaving Madelyn with her sister.

"Klaus threw one of his classic temper tantrums, snapped my neck and tried to take on a coven of witches by himself" Marcel snapped glaring at Elijah.

"He wasn't by himself, we were with him" Enzo says nodding to Kol.

"And where were you two when he was taken?" Elijah snipped.

"Hunting down runaways, witches don't tend to stay in one spot when someone is slaughtering the lot of them" Kol shrugs. Elijah sighs rubbing his face.

"They also have Rebekah" Elijah says. "Every one of you will help me find them. We're gonna kill them all"

"We don't agree on much, Elijah, but this I can get on board with" Kol smirks.

"So, where do we start?" Claire asks drawing attention to herself. "I don't know what's going on with him or where he's at but he's in a lot of pain" She tells them. "We need to find him, both of them"

"We will, Angel" Kol assures appearing in front of her. "We'll get them back" He says kissing her forehead.
