there will probably be spoilers so if you are reading the HG and haven't finished the series or plan on reading it then don't read this chapter. Also, everything I rant about might not be correct, I haven't read the books in a while so my memory might not all be right so just ignore it if I rant about something incorrect.

okay so I loved the writing and books and they were really well written but the last book, and my teacher said to me when she saw me reading it that it was the worst book in her opinion, I just didn't like it, or I didn't like what happened in it.

first of all, Peeta: I don't understand why Katniss and Peeta weren't their first priority, or first Katniss then Peeta because Peeta may be one of the only people that can calm Katniss, AND they must've known that if they didn't save him, the Capitol would use him as their main torture doll to get to Katniss and break her. Also hijacked Peeta fucked me up. I have a few more rants about him but I don't know if they're
completely true so I'm only going to talk about that.

District 13: you'd think they'd be kinder and less strict than they actually are since they know how bad the Capitol is, I just HATED District 13, and I hated President Coin even more. I am so happy that Katniss killed Coin at the last minute instead of Snow. Tbh Snow was a better friend to Katniss in the last part of the series than Coin.

District 12 Survivors: isn't it funny how basically all (or most, I haven't read the books in a while) of the important District 12 people survived? I would've preferred some important person dying. Also how did they all find District 13? Bonnie and the other person that Katniss met never found it, so how did the 12 survivors find it.

Prim: why? Prim was my around my age and she was my favorite character other than Gale and I was devastated when she died, though I wanted someone to die and I got what I wanted. I loved Prim in the last book but I'm adding this so I can continue to show how much I hate Coin, did she really have to do that?

Katniss: I hated her perspective because she wasn't herself, she was just gloomy and traumatized the entire book, and then when she was happy, she got sad again. Well I guess it wasn't that I actually hated her, I hated all the sadness and how she was never happy. Oh, you finally found a safe place, too bad, the president is mean and horrible. Oh, they finally rescued your fiancé, too bad, he got hijacked. Oh, you finally beat the Capitol, too bad, your sister's dead now. She never experienced happiness in the book except at the end when she had kids which was years later.

Finnick: Finnick, I don't really have anything to say about him except he was basically just a replacement of Peeta for Katniss. Also the part about Snow selling Finnick's body, I did not expect that. One more thing, why did they save Finnick, AND NOT FUCKING PEETA?!

that's all my opinions on the third HG book.
