Meeting Aria

I looked at her, her bright eyes glistening with joy, something I had least expected to see today. She had a very beautiful smile plastered on her face and it could melt the hardest of hearts. She was happy, she was different. I had seen people cry because of the smallest reasons that exist on Earth, I have seen a few work hard to change their fate. Most people have a giving up attitude. Most people I know, would just weep about things without realising the worth of all that they have but feeling the need to have more. People are so keen on throwing themselves pity parties that they are not able to see the thousand reasons life has given us to be happy about.

Aria, the girl I met today, could easily change our opinion on things. I came to Real Valley Hospital, a holdouts for cancer patients, to donate money. As I entered through the glass door of the hospital, I saw many cancer patients; some with their near and dear ones and some alone. I was asked to take a seat and wait till my name had been called. While I was patiently waiting for my name to be called, I saw a young girl waving at me with a friendly smile on her face. I returned a smile while walking up to her and took a seat near her wheelchair.

"What is your name, dear?" I asked. "Aria", came the reply.
