"Get the new ones from Slovakia out Jongdae and Tao bring in more men. I want no one under 6ft and make sure they are all fit. Make them take a test if you have to"

"But Hyung, why do we need so much men and weapon?"

"We need it", Suho answered to Tao. "We need to let the enemy know about our power"

"Do you even hear yourself Junmyeon?", Xiumin scoffed. "You sound like you are in therapy for delusion. What the fuck do you mean enemy. Its a 22 year old kid for fucks sake"

"Uh! Hyung is right. He is June's boyfriend. He is enemy", Jungkook cut in. "He needs to know who he is going to be messing with when he decides to make June cry"

"Oh shut up you both", Jin sassed. "Are we really bringing the whole firepower out to deal with a 22 year old nerd. I have seen him once before that boy is literally the sweetest. You will all scare him with your antiques"

"Good", Tao added. "We need to keep him scared so he never breaks our little June's heart"

"First of all, little? June is 22. Second, Break her heart?", Xiumin chuckled. "She is the one with a new man every six months. Trust me he is not the one breaking her heart. Conversely we might have to protect him from her"

"What is happening here?", a female voice entered. Immediately the men scrambled to put the guns away as they saw Sua. "What are you up to Junmyeon?", she asked her husband.

"Dad's preparing to meet June Noona's boyfriend", their 19 year old son Suyeon who had just entered added. "Looks to me they don't plan on letting him leave from here alive"

Sua scoffed, giving her husband a glare. The latter just looked away, not happy at being busted like this. "Put the damn ammunition away Junmyeon. What is wrong with you? You guys are by no means threatening a kid. Dae Seong is such a good man. June is getting him here so he can meet the family. We don't want the kid running away"

"I said what I said", Suho scoffed. "The guns and the men stay. We can never be sure about his intentions"

"Dad! Dae Seong Hyung is a computer engineer who studied at SNU. Why would he want to do anything to us or the Mafia", Suyeon rolled his eyes.

"Shhhsh Yeon, you don't understand. If and when you have a daughter you'll know"

"Hyung's right", Jungkook folded his arms. "June's our princess and we need to make sure she is always safe"

"Hyelin's gonna be so mad when she knows what you all are up to", Xiumin shook his head. "She adores Dae Seong. In her mind he is already the son-in-law"

The rest of the boys wanted to say something when Taehyung entered. He saw the whole spread of weapons out and his eyes widened.

"Taehyung you might want to deal with your fellow Mafia members here. They are being too over protective of your daughter. Tell them to peace out", Sua stated.

"She's right what are you all even up to. This is crazy. Make sure you wind this up, we don't want the kid seeing guns. And Sua, Hyelin needs your help with making pudding. I don't know why she is trying to play Masterchef right now with the food but I am sure bacon doesn't go in pudding. Can you please go and sort it out with her? She is also marinating her chicken in coffee and I don't have a very good feeling about it. I'll take care of this mess here"

"Oh lord we need to get the cable removed because she binge watched like 10 seasons in one go. Just because she can scream and scare like Gordon Ramsey doesn't mean she can cook like him", with that she rolled her eyes at the rest of the men before leaving. Suyeon and Xiumin followed.

Seeing the people out, Taehyung leaned to check whether they were really gone before speaking.

"Make sure that fucker thinks twice before thinking about playing June. I want two men tailing him as soon as he leaves the mansion. And Jungkook lets get a few people keeping an eye on his house 24/7. Who he is meeting, what does he do the whole day. Whether he has side chicks or fucks new girls everyday. See if he has any bad habits or if he drinks. I want every small detail down to the color of his boxers. One thing out of line and I'll end him myself", Taehyung huffed.

The rest of the boys were taken aback as Jin smacked his brother in the head. "Grow up Taehyung, what is wrong with you?"

"Oh really Hyung", he replied rubbing his aching head. "Do I have to remind you of what you and Namjoon Hyung did when Ara was 16 and began dating that popular guy in her school. How you threatened to kill him when one of our men found him kissing another girl in the locker room?"

"That—that was different okay", Jin looked away as he was caught on spot.

"No it isn't different. We both want to protect our daughters. So you let me do what I want to"

Jin shook his head, not wanting to argue with his younger brother.

"I knew you'd be on our side Hyung!", Jungkook smirked. "Now time to meet the enemy"

"My palms are sweaty"

"Knees weak arms are heavy, there's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti", followed by a loud laughter.

"June...", the first voice spoke in disbelief. "I am almost having a heart attack and you are trolling me?"

"Awww babe", June replied holding his hand. "Don't worry. My parents are great yeah. And my uncles are all very friendly"

"That's definitely not what the morning news was saying today", Dae Seong panic laughed.

"Dae, I told you the truth about my family for a reason. It was because I wanted to be honest with you about who my mom and dad are and what they do for a living. Yes they deal drugs and guns for a living but they have never harmed an innocent person before and will never do it in the future either. So can you stop worrying?"

"I know your uncles don't like me. Who was that guy that came to pick you up when we went out for dinner? He gave me such bad looks, I was literally shivering"

"Oh that", June laughed. "Thats was Yoongs aka my uncle Yoongi. Uh yeah he can be a little intimidating but I swear that was just his natural look. He is very sweet I promise"

"Oh okay. The other guy with him, he smiled at me. He gave me a nice dimpled smile. It was very welcoming", Dae Seong added.

"Oh that was Hobi. His husband. Don't be fooled by that smile. That was no happy smile Uncle Hoseok gave you a rather psychotic one. It was more like 'who the fuck are you and how dare you even take June out for dinner? I will skin you alive and feed your dick to a Piranha' kinda smile", June stated. 

All color left Dae Seong's face as he gasped. June broke into chuckles as she heard this. "Let's go in, I was just messing with you. That was indeed a welcoming smile because Uncle Hobi is just a ball of sunshine"

Dae Seong nodded but something flashed in his mind that sent him into shut down mode. A piece of news he remembered from 10 years ago when he was 12. Having photogenic memory never helped his cause.

'Jung Hoseok of Bangtan under suspicion of murdering 8 members of the sex trafficking group Poison Ivy. Apparently an insider reveals that it was done under Queen's order to eliminate and protect the city from gangs that trade young women'

He recalled seeing Jung Hoseok being handcuffed and taken to the court, smiling at the camera. Of course he was proven innocent because of the sheer power of the group he belonged to. He juxtaposed that happy face with the one he had seen that night and he swore that was no welcoming smile either. Maybe June was right. That was every bit the 'my pet Piranha will devour you' smile.

"Welcome Dae Seong!", Hyelin yelled as she took the boy in a hug. "I am so happy to finally meet you son-in-law"

"Mom!", June hissed, embarrassed at her boyfriend being called son-in-law. "Cut it"

"Thank you ma'am, the honor's mine really"

"Nonsense. Don't call me ma'am. You can call me mom", with that she giggled. "Just like June". Dae Seong smiled, happy that they started off on a good note. June scoffed at her mother and gave her a 'what are you saying' look to which the older just twitched her mouth.

"And nice to meet you sir", with that he extended his hand to Taehyung. The older eyed it for a second before clasping it. All smile left Dae Seong's face as Taehyung squeezed his hand with so much power while his face had a fake smile plastered. "Good to finally meet you Dae Seong"

The man pulled his hand back quickly, not letting the pain reflect on his face. His palm was throbbing in pain but he dare not make a sound. Taehyung's smug smile widened as he saw this. Good, be scared he thought to himself.

"Dae Seong let me introduce our entire family. There's 19 of us in the Mafia. Both EXO and Bangtan. But only a couple of us are here today since some of them are on business. That's my sister Sua and my brother Daniel. That is Sua's husband Junmyeon, he co-leads EXO with me. After 14 years, I finally gave him a promotion. You already know June's father aka Taehyung. That is Taehyung's brother Jin and his husband Namjoon. That's Hobi and Yoongi. That's Jimin and beside him that bunny boy is Jungkook..."

"Noona... you...you forgot that part of the introduction..", Jungkook quickly whispered.

"Of course Kookie, sorry. That is Jungkook who is my favourite baby boy in the whole Mafia.."

"HEY!", Daniel yelled. "Fuck you Jungkook how dare you tell my sister to call you her favourite baby boy"

"Uh please, just because you think you are related to her by blood, it makes you a better candidate?", Jungkook scoffed. "Let's be honest, both your sisters *put* up with you because they have no choice"

"Too fucking far Junglebook", Daniel grit his teeth. "Too fucking far"

"You oldies, I still exist", Suyeon scoffed from the side. "Move it over senior citizens, its time to go change your dentures or something. You guys are fighting here but my aunt Hye clearly calls me her favourite baby boy"

"And I am just a hallucination right?", Taehyung smacked the back of Suyeon's head. "Your aunt calls you her favourite baby boy but she SHOWS ME what being a favourite baby boy is like", with that he smirked.

"Ewwww Dad", June yelled. "What is wrong with you". Soon the whole room got into chaos as the boys all tried to justify their position as Hyelin's favorite.

"ENOUGH!", Namjoon yelled and all of a sudden there was pin drop silence."We have a guest here and you all have the audacity to fight over something so irrelevant"

All men turned silent as Dae Seong held June's hand in fright, clearly afraid at seeing Namjoon's demeanor completely change. For a second he had thought the man here with his sweet dimple smile was the safest but now he was sure he was worse than all of them combined.

"Dae Seong, sweetie, let's go... lunch has been served", Hyelin smiled at the younger who was aghast. "I hope you like it, I tried to recreate fine dining"

From the other side Sua placed a hand on the young man's shoulder and whispered. "If you cannot eat the eccentric food she has made, I have some pasta in the fridge. Blink twice and I'll send it to you from under the table"

Dae Seong laughed. "I am sure ma'am is a great cook. I look forward to eating it"

"You say that now kiddo", Sua chuckled. "Let's see what your face says after a few bites"

June's aunt was right, Dae Seong thought. He didn't know what it was eating but he for sure preferred his coffee in milk and not on meat. He looked around, no one had touched their meals. Rightly so. June seemed to be enjoying the food but June was weird that way. His girlfriend had erratic taste in food. She ate fries and icecream together. So this seemed like it was her normal.

"So Dae Seong", Taehyung began. "How many women have you dated before?"

The boy in question was surprised but he knew this was going to happen. "Actually, June's my first girlfriend"

"Oh so you don't do relationships?", Jungkook scoffed. Dae Seong panicked. This is not what he meant.

"You have commitment issues?", Tao added. "Seems like he just fucked around in the past and this is his first time committing"

"NO. NO. THAT IS NOT WHAT I MEANT", the younger immediately stood up as he tried to pacify everyone. "It just means June's the first girl I have liked and been with"

"Oh so that the girls he fucked before, he didn't even like", Junmyeon gritted his teeth.

"So what you just sleep around and toss em?", Daniel raised a brow.

Dae Seong was going to have a mental breakdown at this rate. He didn't even know what to do as he went into complete panic mode. These people were taking him completely out of context.

"No I don't mean it that way at all. What I meant is—um you have it wrong—"

"I knew his face screamed fuckboy", Chen who entered whispered loud enough for Dae Seong to hear.

"No sir not at all. My college education kept me so busy—"

"He's making excuses", Tao shook his head. "We busted him in the moment"

"Uncle Tao will you zip it?", June glared. Soon the entire table went into chaos.

"ENOUGH IS ENOUGH", this time Sua screamed at the top of her lungs. Dead silence took over the dining table. Jungkook, Taehyung, Junmyeon and Tao looked at each other knowing they were dead today. "Jung Jae", she called out to a butler nearby. "Have mine, Hyelin, June, Dae Seong, Xiumin, Namjoon, Jin and Suyeon's plates taken to the dining table in our backyard. Set the rest of the food up there. We will like to eat in peace without this constant interrogation. No one is going to disrespect our guest like this, not during lunch"

"Hey that is not right we were just asking him a couple—", Junmyeon argued. Hyelin put a hand on his chest and pushed him back. "I have my sassy pants on today Suho, don't try me", she gritted her teeth at him. "Gut buster has been rusting for a while. She's dying to find her next target, no pun intended"

Junmyeon knew when he was called Suho by his best friend/sister-in-law, he should know better than to mess with her.

"I am very disappointed at the treatment of our guest", Hyelin began as she looked at the remaining men and particularly Taehyung. "We will talk about this later. I am sorry Dae, Let's go and have a quiet meal", she placed her hand on the young man's shoulder, the latter just glad that someone stood up for him.

Dae Seong was so relieved that the women shifted the meal to a private space where he wasn't terrorized by the presence of Mafia members that looked like they would kill him. He had a good meal with the rest of the people and realized that he actually got along pretty well with June's cousin Suyeon, who despite being fun was a little dumb.

He was also pleasantly surprised at the dynamic the family shared. Hyelin aka June's mother was the trouble maker of the family but she made it her priority to get every child in the family out of trouble. While Sua aka June's aunt was the peacekeeper and the only person Hyelin truly feared. He could see specks of both the sisters in June and that made him smile.

His phone rang and he excused himself since it was his own mother. Taehyung who was lurking nearby watched as the boy walked towards a secluded area to pick up the call. He looked around to see if anyone was seeing before he snuck and hid in a spot where he could overhear.

"Hi Mom", Dae Seong began. "I am actually at June's house to eat lunch"

"Oh! You are at their house? Take care Dae, I have told you to be careful. The girl is sweet but her family literally runs a Mafia"

"No Mom, they are the sweetest", he replied and Taehyung sensed that his mother must have said something about them being dangerous. "June's mother made lunch for us, it was very delicious"

What a liar, Taehyung scoffed. He barely touched the food and the older knew it. Let's be real. Taehyung loved Hyelin as much as one could possibly love their dear one, but his wife did not know how to cook and he accepted that.

"Yeah, I mean she is so busy and such a powerful woman but she still took time to cook for me. That was admirable. They all treated me wonderfully, I am having a great time here"

Taehyung furrowed his brows. Why was this kid lying? They clearly had humiliated him and put him on spot. He could literally tell the truth but instead he was shielding their family, making it seem like he was enjoying to his fullest.

"Yeah mom, I'll get June for dinner today. I'll go to the market and bring all the ingredients for her favorite dishes. And make your famous pudding, she loves jelly in it. And strawberries too. Maybe we can do trifle. She'll love it. Ooh, ooh and the spicy miso soup you make. But without the white part of the scallions. June doesn't like it"

Taehyung was stunned but he kept listening. The kid sure knew a lot of details about her. He listened to the entire phone call before he watched him walk back to the table. He bit his lip trying to make sense of the boy. Maybe he wasn't as bad as Taehyung thought he was.

"Boss, we have some information on the kid", his henchman said to him. "We tailed him for a week, there didn't seem to be anything out of place"

"What's his schedule like?", the former asked.

"He works for a big tech company. So morning to evening he is there. We had one man in the company as well. Most of the days he said Dae Seong was on his computer working and when he had free time, he volunteered to teach interns some advanced coding. Other than that while commuting he talked to Miss June everyday. On Tuesday and Friday he bought flowers and strawberry cake and they met up and ate. Weekends he volunteers at the local orphanage and teaches the children there. The manager of the orphanage said he has been coming there for the last 7 years. Overall seemed like a good kid"

Taehyung nodded as he heard this. "Its all right you can stop tailing him now"

The man bowed as left the room. Grabbing his phone, he opened his contacts. Hesitantly he dialed a number.

"Its June's father. Meet me at our hotel Seven Seasons Deluxe tonight at 7:00 pm. A chauffeur will pick you up from your office and drop you there. One of my men will escort you to the VIP room. Don't be late"

"Boss, he is here"

Taehyung looked up from sipping on his whiskey as he nodded at the man. The latter closed the door, leaving the two in privacy.

"You called for me sir?"

"You don't have to call me sir. You cant call me Mr Kim. Have a seat", he pointed to the other end of the table. Taehyung noticed the boy's appearance. Work shirt, glasses and a laptop bag. Typical office worker. The start difference with his own 'black shirt, black slacks and black coat' clothing he always wore.

"What's your choice of drink?", Taehyung asked. "I can pour you one. We have the finest selection of spirits in Seoul. June's mother is quite the connoisseur of fine drinks"

"I don't drink", Dae Seong replied. "Thanks for offering"

"Why? Cannot handle your alcohol?", Taehyung smirked.

"No. My dad died of alcohol poisoning when I was young. And my mother suffered quite a bit because of it. That just made me averse to alcohol in general", he casually stated.

Taehyung was taken aback but nodded. "I can understand. Anything else you'd like?"

"Actually I have my own drink, if you don't mind", the younger replied. Taehyung motioned with his hands for him to proceed and to his surprise Dae Seong removed a chocolate milk pack as he stabbed the straw in and took a sip.

"Uh interesting", the older was surprised at the stark difference in the atmosphere. Him, a deadly mafia man sharing a drink with a 22 year old nerd who drank chocolate milk.

"You know June's quite the drinker right?"

"I do", he laughed. "And I'd stay sober so that she can enjoy to her heart's content without worrying about who was going to take care of her"

Taehyung would be lying if he wasn't absolutely happy at hearing this. But he maintained a stoic cold face.

"What are your real intentions with her?"

Dae Seong was surprised at this question but wasn't fazed. "I have no 'intentions' sir, I mean Mr Kim. I met a cute girl at university. We became friends. I fell in love with her and mustered every bit of courage I had to ask her out. Now she is an important part of my life. My only intentions with her are to have a happy relationship and marry her in the future. I can understand why you are worried and wary of any men around her. I'd be too if I had a daughter. But I hope you can trust me. I don't know what the future holds. Maybe we might fall out of love or maybe we both find people who we like more. But June will always be someone who I will admire, respect and who will continue to hold a special place in my life. To enjoy every day with her. Thats what my real intentions are"

Taehyung smiled a bit but didn't let it show too much. "I think I owe you an apology for that time you came to our house. You see June is the first girl we had in our family. So every one of her Uncle adores her. She is the princess of the house and all her knights will lay their lives for her. It doesn't hurt to be protective of the people you love"

"You don't have to apologize. I can understand where your actions stemmed from. We men have ruined our own reputation", Dae Seong shook his head.

Taehyung laughed at the wittiness. "I wasn't wrong in wanting to know you more, you are a great kid. I guess the next time you come home, we will keep away the guns and the snipers we placed for you"

All color left the younger's face as he gulped in fear. Taehyung burst into chuckles at this. "Unfortunately dating women of the EXOTan family comes at a cost"

"Were you threatened when you began dating June's mom", Dae Seong was curious. "Did members of EXO give you the big brother talk?"

"Lord no", Taehyung huffed. "I don't think you know June's mom. Its hard to stop loving her for two reasons. One, she is so amazing you will never find someone like her. Second, I was very scared of the consequences of falling out in love with her. Hell hath the fury of Kang Hyelin scorned in love"

The younger chuckled as he continued to sip on his milk. With their respective drinks in tow, a wonderful bond between the two ensued.
