Peters, Edmund and Susan along with the rest of the Narnians that had followed them into the forest arrived at Cair Paravel towards the end of the fight. Peter leaped off of his horse entering Cair Paravel closely followed by Edmund and Susan. They rushed into the battle quickly taking out as many of the intruders as they could. As the battle slowly stopped Edmund looked around frantically for the one girl he loved the most.

"Edmund!" He whipped around relaxing, letting out a sigh of relief seeing Penny. She was running towards him and he embraced her tightly. He knew she could take care of herself but also knew that fighting was the last thing she wanted to do. Susan quickly went to her little sister hugging her as relieved as Edmund was but Peter was still looking around his heart pounding when he couldn't find her.

"Peter it's alright, she's safe" Lucy said noticing the panicked look on his face. Peter looked at her relived to hear she was safe but still antsy that she was still out of his eye sight. "We saw them coming and got her out as quickly as possible. It took a lot of convincing but we got her to leave" He relaxed a little bit more but still wanted to know where she was.

"We made her leave the castle, se should have gone to the stables and just left. We don't know where she is though" Peter looked at Penny with wide eyes worried since no one knew where his wife was.

"We'll find her Pete, don't worry. She couldn't have gotten far" Edmund said trying to calm his brother down.

"I'm going to go look for her" He said leaving the little circle he and his siblings had formed. He didn't make it very far when he heard a familiar voice making him turn his head quickly.

"Peter" He felt overwhelming relief looking at his wife as she walked towards him quickly. Mr. Tumnus walked behind her at a slower pace but he didn't pay any mind to the faun and took long strides to his wife pulling her into a tight hug relieved that both she and the child were alright. "We're alright" She whispered to her husband. "We're both alright" She whispered.

"I was worried" He whispered to her.

"Don't be, you should thank Mr. Tumnus, he kept the both of us safe" Peter looked from his wife to the faun and smiled at him walking towards him.

"Thank you Mr. Tumnus, if you need anything" He said thankful for what he did for his wife.

"She's my friend, my family. I protect my friends and family" Mr. Tumnus said making them all smile, even if it was barley noticeable. "What's important is that she is indeed, safe" Peter nodded agreeing with him turning back to his wife pulling her back into his arms.

"It was a distraction" Edmund said catching Elizabeth's attention.

"Distraction? What was?" She asked looking from him to Peter back to Edmund.

"They drew us out so they could attack Cair Paravel" Susan said. "We think that it's because they wanted to kill you specifically Elizabeth. With you having a child it shows everyone that there is an heir to the throne as you proved to everyone Narnia can be ruled by one King or Queen just fine. They wanted to kill you to kill-" She was cut off by Elizabeth who had her hand over her stomach.

"The child" She whispered.

"It doesn't help that you were the one to kill Jadis so obviously they hold a little bit of a grudge over that as well" Edmund said shrugging slightly not showing the concern he felt for his brothers wife.

"What this shows us is that there is a target on your head, they will no doubt try and kill you again especially when you come close to giving birth." Peter said becoming even more protective than he already was.

"They won't succeed" Lucy said but Peter looked at her not so sure which killed him on the inside.

"How do you know? They almost did today" He said and Edmund spoke up quickly.

"Because now we know that they're going to try again. We won't be fooled so easily next time, we'll be more prepared" Edmund reassured his brother. Elizabeth rubbing Peters hand with the back of her thumb making him look down at her.

"We're going to be alright Peter, we're going to be just fine" She whispered to him reaching him kissing him softly.
