Chapter One - Narnia
"Mum is going to destroy you" The 16 year old boy, William, told his little brother, Digory. Digory looked at the broken vase and cracked stand terrified. The siblings were running in the halls playing tag when Digory rounded the corner and crashed into the stand breaking his mothers favorite and most expensive vase.
"I told you both plenty of times to not run in the halls, now look at what you've done" The eldest daughter, Jadis, scolded her younger brothers. "They are not going to be happy about this" She said shaking her head. Digory looked at his older sister with tears in his eyes from the fear he had of his extremely strict and almost cruel mother.
"Jadis quit scaring the boy" The second eldest daughter said sternly to Jadis. Elizabeth looked at her little brother trying to comfort him as she knelt in front of him. "It's going to be alright Digory, it was an accident" She said.
"They were doing something that they shouldn't have been doing Elizabeth, stop being so easy on them" Jadis snapped to her sister and Elizabeth glared up at her.
"They were being boys Jadis. Children, that's what they are. Mother and Father keep them, us, locked up all day and expect us to follow their rules all the time. Their just children, they need to play. Stop being so hard and show some compassion" Jadis crossed her arms but kept quiet. Elizabeth calmed down looking back at her brother with a smile as if she didn't just lose her temper with her elder sister.
"Mummy's going to be upset" He whispered and she sighed nodding.
"Yes she will be Dig, but it's going to be alright. Just explain to her what happened and how sorry you are about it"
"But if he explains what happened he'll rat me out!" William explained. "He'll say we were racing down the halls and I'll be in trouble as well" He snapped.
"Well then maybe you both should have been more careful of where you were running and this wouldn't have happened" She growled giving her little brother a hard stare. "Besides this is just as much of your fault as it is his" She told him sternly.
"How is it my fault?! I didn't break the vase" He snapped.
"Yes but who's idea was it to run in the halls?" She snapped back and her brother silenced glaring at his sister.
"What's with all the yelling?" Their little sister asked rounding the corner looking tired, most likely just waking up from a nap. "Uh oh" She whispered looking at the vase walking closer to them. "Mummy's not going to like this" Elizabeth sighed standing up as the youngest of them all knelt down by the vase picking up a piece of the broken vase.
"Please be careful Penny, I don't want to have to explain to mum why you cut your hand" Elizabeth said and Penny put the piece of vase back down not wanting to get her older sister into trouble.
"What are we going to do Lizzy?" Digory asked looking at his sister just as their brother ran towards them panting as he stopped besides them.
"They're back" Lance, the 12 year old boy, panted. "They just arrived from town. Mum's coming this way" He said as he had been the look out for the siblings. Digory looked at his sister in a panic.
"She's going to kill me!" He yelled hearing the door slamming shut. They listened as their parents argued downstairs yelling at each other.
"We don't have to tell her right this moment, come on we've got to go" Elizabeth said quickly grabbing Digory's hand running down the hall opposite of where she heard her parent's voices. Lance and Penny quickly followed not want to face the wrath of their parents, especially their mother. Even if her anger wasn't towards them they didn't want to be anywhere near this place when she blew up.
"Wait where are you going?" Jadis yelled at them and quickly ran after them. William followed his older sister knowing he would be in as much trouble as Digory and didn't want to be caught at the scene alone. "Their going to have to face them eventually!" She said catching up quickly as the 6 siblings ran up the stairs.
"Not at this moment he doesn't have to" Elizabeth told her sister. "Mother and Father are far to angry to think rationally at the moment and you know this. Nothing good will happen, we just need some time" Elizabeth said holding onto her little brother tightly as they through the maze of a house.
"Grandfathers study!" Penny said quickly. "They never go in there" She added and Elizabeth nodded not knowing where else to go at the moment. The siblings made a bee line right to their grandfathers study closing the door as quietly as they could not wanting to give away their position.
"This is a bad idea" Jadis snapped lowly to Elizabeth. "If anything this will only make them even more angry" She said.
"Well if you have any better ideas I'm all ears" Elizabeth said strangely calm. She walked into the middle of the room looking around. Digory stood by the window looking out into their back yard as it poured down rain. She looked around knowing it's been years since she's been in here. Yet nothing had change, nothing but the fact that the place had collected some dust. She looked at her little sister Penny as she looked at the large wardrobe that was against the wall directly across the door.
"They're coming!" Lance whispered loudly as he had his ear pressed against the door listening carefully.
"She'll hang us all for even being in this room!" Will whispered back looking at his elder sisters. Jadis glared at Elizabeth angrily.
"You just had to take off didn't you" She snapped.
"Nobody forced you to come" She snapped back to her sister losing her temper.
"They're right outside" Lance said running away from the door. "What are we going to do?" He asked loudly as Digory and William sweated extremely nervous.
"In here!" Penny said quickly. "We can hide in here, hurry" She said opening the door to the wardrobe disappearing. Lance quickly ran in after her as the sister looked at each other.
"Not all of us will fit" Jadis said quickly.
"What other choice do we have?" Elizabeth asked. "Do you really want to face them right now?" She asked quickly and Jadis thought about it. William and Digory were already in the wardrobe and Elizabeth followed them. Jadis clenched her jaw together and quickly followed her younger siblings and closed the door so they could remain hidden as long as possible.
"Go back!" Jadis said wanting more room.
"This is a bad idea" William said becoming claustrophobic.
"Ouch! Quit hitting me" Lance snapped.
"I didn't hit you, you hit me!" Will snapped back and the others could hear them shoving each other making them hit the others.
"Stop fighting! They'll find us" Jadis snapped.
"There's no room in this blasted wardrobe" Lance complained.
"Well I don't think it's made to hide 6 kids from their parents" Elizabeth answered back.
"Well we won't be hiding for much longer if we don't move away from the door. They'll open it and they'll find us. We need to get to the back and hide in the coats" Jadis told them all.
"It's so warm" Penny said before they all heard a thud followed by another thud. "Get off of me" Penny said shoving her brother, Lance, off of her as he fell on top of her.
"It's not my fault, Will pushed me" Lance said quick to blame his brother.
"I did no such thing!" Will snapped back as Penny stood back up and looked around her eyes widening.
"Yes you did! You pushed me onto Penny!" Lance snapped. "First you push Dig into the vase and now me onto Penny, when will the pushing stop" He snapped.
"After this" He snapped pushing his brother again. Lance fell back again but got back up. He went to argue with his brother some more but then he realized something. Lance could see his brother face meaning there was light, but there is no light bulb in the wardrobe. He looked at his brother's face to see his eyes were wide and his face looked shocked. He slowly turned around seeing a large forest. He walked forward turning around slowly at everything. William walked out some more as well as Penny took interest in the lamp in the middle of the forest wondering what it was doing there.
"Where are we?" Elizabeth questioned looking at the green forest. All the siblings subconsciously formed a circle around each other taking in the forests beauty.
"Something tells me this isn't London"
