Zayn's POV:
'He's gone.'

The second Sky blocked me out I knew and so did Axel. The second he walked away Axel cried out.

'He's gone Zayn. Draken is gone.'

I know Axel, I know. We'll sort this out okay, I promise I'll fix this just stay with me okay.

"Zayn? Zayn?"

I snapped out of my daze and looked back at Makayla. She is beautiful and her scent how Draken didn't fight Sky to stay is beyond me but there is something unusual about her scent.

"Yeah Kayla what's up?"

I could feel something was wrong the second Sky went outside. It was like one of the string that connected all our minds together had snapped, Sky was there but he wasn't but no one else could feel it otherwise they would have raised the issue with me.

"Are you okay? You seemed annoying or upset by Sky's answer and you keep going off into space."

I'm telling her the true, I have to because I have to do something, I won't lose Sky because of this. Calvin is going to wish he had never touched Makayla.

"Makayla, I need you to listen to me very carefully okay. Werewolves they have..they have what you and other humans would call a soul mate but for werewolves we just call them mates. Much like normal wolves we have a mate or mates who we are mated with for life. We are protective over our mates because their ours it's our job to love and care for our mates and you are Sky's."

I watched as she took in the information, I hope she understands this because I..I can't lose Sky, I won't lose him.

"Okay so I'm Sky's mate and when Ryder was being friendly with me he growled and when Calvin attacked me he shifted to protect me but then why didn't he tell me this."

'Can't sense Draken Zayn, it's too late he's gone.'

Axel don't lose hope okay, I'll fix this okay just don't lose hope okay, hope is all we have right now.

"He blames himself for Calvin. What he said about protecting you was true but he just left out the part of being your mate. He's scared you'll get hurt which is also true but he's forgotten the fact that he can't live without his mate. He's..he's. You can't just fall in love with him because of what I've said Makayla but there is a connection between you and that's because of the mate bond but don't ignore him no matter how much he tries to avoid you don't give up on him."

She nodded and Ashton and Ryder finally arrived.

Ashton was practically glued to Ryder's side but that was no surprise. They both smiled at Makayla and bowed their heads to me which made me roll my eyes and Makayla giggled.

"I swear you two will never stop behaving like children. Anyway Makayla you should be okay to go home, don't worry about soccer practice tonight Sky's Uncle Silas is the coach and he knows what happened and cancelled practice until tomorrow. I'll see you tomorrow and you two behaviour yourselves."

I headed for my office and locked the door behind me before falling into my chair. Today has been a complete and utter nightmare.

I rubbed my temple feeling a headache beginning to form.

Axel are you still with me buddy? I know your hurting but stay with me okay. We can still fix this just hold on.

'Okay Zayn I..I'll try. I..I tried..I tried to talk to Draken but..he's gone Zayn. I want him back, why did he leave, he had us so why didn't he fight to stay!'

Axel please calm down, I know your upset buddy but..but your giving me a headache. I'm hurting too buddy.

There was a small knock at the door and I knew who it was without even opening the door. I slowly walked over and unlocked the door before returning to my chair.

"Come in."

I called rubbing my temple as Axel whimpered, he was upset because it wasn't Sky or..or Draken.

"Hey Zayn, we just came to tell you we dropped Makayla off and she's safe. I have Benedict, Maxim and Jerome watching her house for protection. Sky and the patrol haven't returned yet."

A whimper escaped my lips at the mention of Sky but I quickly covered it up by coughing and nodding.

"Thank you Ashton. How is Ryder?"

I dropped Ryder into conversation because as soon as I did Ashton smiled, a genuine smile that is not like the fake ones he puts on.

"He's okay, you know Ryder. His kind nature will get him into trouble one day, I mean how close was Sky from tearing him apart. I don't particularly fancy having to step inbetween my lover and my friend."

I rolled my eyes but he makes a great point I wouldn't be able to choose between my lover or my friend well I would but I'd hate to choose.

"Yeah but you love his kind nature and big heart after all you are made for each other, that's the power of the mate bond."

'Power of the mate bond what about Draken! He's gone and he's never coming back! I want him back Zayn, talking about Ashton and Ryder is making me miss him even more!'

"Zayn? Zayn? Bro are you okay, you seem distracted?"

I had thought about telling Ashton about Sky and about Draken but I just...I don't know. Ashton and Ryder are my brothers after all maybe I should just tell them.

"Sorry Ash, I'm..I'm not okay actually. Will you do me a favour, call Ryder, Gabriel and Diego down here please."

They need to know, they need to know. I can't bottle this up anymore.

"What about Sky do you want me to mind link him, I mean if Gabriel and Diego are coming shouldn't he be here?"

'Couldn't mind link Sky even if you wanted too.'

Axel please, I don't need you reminding me that Draken is gone and that Sky is..is...

"No Ash just you, Ryder, Gabriel and Diego need to be here."

Within minutes Ryder, Gabriel and Diego were in front of me with Ashton glued to Ryder side as usual.

"I've called this meeting because we need to talk. It's..it's about Sky."
