Zayn's POV:
Three months, we've been searching for three damn months and nothing. I've been away from my Babe for three months!

I miss him so much but we're too far away to mind link and even if we did bring our phones we'd have no service but I know Gabriel will keep him safe.

Being away from home is taking it's toll on all of us. Silas misses Sky almost as much as I do, Diego misses Makayla, the lads miss home and their families but being out here means they have more chance of finding their mates including my dad and hopefully Silas too.

I usually let my dad lead whilst I stay at the back with Ashton.

I know a small part of him is losing hope, he's afraid that we'll find something he doesn't want to find. But I won't stop until we find him because I made a promise to my Babe that I'd bring Ryder home and even if it means I won't see him for another three months then so be it because I will always keep my promises to my Babe.

'Ashton we'll find him. I made a promise to Sky that we wouldn't go home until we do and I made you a promise that we'd find him so that's what we're going to do. We have to be getting close now.'

I nudged his head with my muzzle and he did the same.

We'll find him, I know we will and as long as he's with us then that's all that matters but if one hair on his head is hurt then a lot of rogues are going to be digging their own graves by the time I get my paws or hands on them.

'Zayn, Ash, I..I think I got something.'

In seconds Carter put his nose to the floor and started sniffed around for Kep's scent. 

'Everyone stay where you are and don't move. Carter's trying to get Kep's scent and we need to stay out the way so we don't contamination or overwhelm Kep's scent.'

I looked back down at Carter and he soon darted off further through the woods into no man's territory.

I signalled for the others to follow as I ran after him. He can't be alone because if he does finds Ryder he won't be thinking straight, he'll get angry and do something he'll regret which will put both of them at risk.

I ducked under branches, jumped over logs and rocks and jumped through bushes until I found Ashton.

He was just stood there staring at an old cabin.

'He's...he's in there. He..he's hurt Zayn. He's hurt and I wasn't here to protect him! I promised him no matter what I'd be there to keep him safe and I wasn't! They took him away from me and he's in pain!'

I took a deep breath before nudging his muzzle.

'Carter, Ashton don't do anything stupid okay. Think this through or you'll put him and yourself in danger for no reason.'

He let out a low growl and laid down taking deep breaths.

'Ryder's in that cabin. You guys need to draw the rogues out so Ashton and I can go in and grab Ryder.'

Everyone let out a low growl or bark before getting ready to fight.

I nudged Carter and signalled for him to follow me. We hid behind the side of the cabin getting ready for when the door would open.

I looked at Wyatt and he nodded before howling.

In minutes the rogues were out of the cabin, they stared down the patrol before shifting and attacking.

It took everything in me not to run at the rogues and kill every single one of them but when I looked at Carter I could see it in his eyes all the anger had gone all he wanted was to be with Kep.

I nudged his head with my muzzle and we entered the cabin.

We'd been in there less then a second before Carter ran straight pass me towards these stairs leading to what appeared to be a basement.

The closer we got to the bottom the stronger the scent of blood and rotten flesh got. The smell was sickening and it made Carter run faster like the smell didn't bother him at all because his mind was set on finding Kep.

I decided to quickly shift back and I placed my shorts on that were attacked to my leg before continuing to follow Carter.

The corridor was endless but near the end we could hear whimpering.

I swear the sight of Kep lying in a cage covered in blood surrounded by sick and rotten food with chains around his neck and legs will haunt me for life.

Carter clawed at the metal bars letting out soft barks to try and get Kep's attention. Kep weakly looked up before his eyes closed again.

I ripped the door off it's hinges and Carter legged it towards Kep.

"Carter, let me take the chains off so I can check him over. Hold on Kep, everything is going to be okay. We'll get you out of here."

I ripped the chains off even through they burnt my hands but right now Kep is more important then my burnt hands. I gently brushed Kep's fur before I carefully picked him up.

"It's going to be okay Kep. We've got you, everything will be okay."

'Zayn, all the rogues are dead but there is no sign of Henley, did..did you find Ryder? Is..is he okay?'

I signalled Carter to follow me as I started to make my way out to the others. We need to get Kep to a pack doctor but the pack house is at least three days away and Kep won't make it that far.

"We got him. Dad what's the nearest pack house we need to get Ryder to a doctor fast, he's in bad shape and he won't make it home."

Carter jumped up and licked Kep's muzzle to comfort him and Kep weakly opened his eyes again before whimpering. I'm glad those rogues are dead.

"The nearest pack would be the Red Eclipse Pack. Alpha Ellis is the Alpha of all Alpha's he'll help us."
