Chapter 31 | Sleepless
A/N: Point of clarification: The only DDLG relationship in this story is Kitty & Cecil's. Any other time "Daddy" is used it's just a kink. DDLG and Daddy Kinks are different things. Where it is true that a lot of caregivers have a Daddy kink, they are still separate. CG/L relationships are an entire role play, whereas the Daddy kink is just liking being called/calling your Dom "Daddy".

Paris grasped onto the headboard tightly, sweat dripping down his doll like complexion. On his knees, he felt both powerless and on cloud nine at the same time. He'd gladly give everything he had to his dominant. Micah kissed his neck softly and he slowly thrusted in and out of him. They never took it this slow before, but this wasn't just a fucking. They were actually making love.
"F-Fuck!" He cried out when on thrust hit a bundle of nerves, "Là, plus dur*! S'il vous plaît*, Daddy!"
He purred along Paris' neck, "Hm, Daddy? That's new... I like it."
His black hair fell along his shoulder, contrasting against his pale skin perfectly. He smiled as he looked at him over his shoulder, "Anything for you."

After the Hellish night had finally calmed, the halls were once again silent. The reaper had left once he'd realized the body he was sent to receive was empty. Everyone was asleep, save a few more lustful beings, and a few restless souls. The others were used to the fact that Knox wandered at night.
He liked the way it felt when everyone else was sleep. It wasn't because it was quieter at night during the day, because it wasn't. When people are asleep, it's like they're not there, but you can't get lonely. That's what he liked to cherish. Their voices hurt his head, but he didn't want to be alone. He feared it more than anything.
"Can't sleep?" Ryan asked as he caught him pacing in the entry way. He sat down on the end of the stairs while the younger vampire continued to walk back and forth.
Knox wasn't surprised like most people got when he did that. He simply had a slow reaction, gazing up to his uncle. "I don't sleep." He murmured.
"I've heard." He kept his voice low, not to wake up anyone, "Have you seen your parents yet?"
His hand tightened into a fist, "Why would I?"
Ryan shrugged, "I don't know. I was just curious if they'd visited you."
"They don't give a shit about me." He muttered, "They only care about the twins. They're the ones that didn't fuck up."
"Funny, Felix said something similar. They do love you. They love all of their children, but I will admit that I know they give the twins more attention because they're the only ones that didn't leave. It really broke their heart when you ran off. They did everything in their power to make sure you and Ripper didn't end up like your older brothers."
Knox stared back, confused, "What'd you mean?"
Ryan snickered, "They never told you, did they? Probably because they didn't want the idea in your head. Cecil and Felix ran away from home the second they got their fangs too. They-"
His words cut short when he heard a sound he could easily identify as Jasper's cane. It was coming from the hall that might as well have been forbidden. The creak of Rest Point's gate rang through the manor. At times, it could dig at your skin like nails on a chalkboard. As Jasper walked into the foyer, Ryan took concern to the fact that Croc and Kuza were behind him.
"You let them out." He commented.
"Well, yes. It would be unfair to lock up someone who was no longer a patient." Jasper replied, revealing the snake-like nature of demons in his tone.
Ryan's eyes lingered on the green skinned beast, trying to find an answer. He could tell there was shame on Croc's face. There was something else, though, too; A sense of nobility, it seemed. With a sigh, Croc pushed his long dreads aside to show the pact burned into the side of his neck. The sight of it shook every never in Ryan's body. He felt like he was going to puke.
He stood up slowly, still not believing his own eyes. "You didn't-"
"He did." Kuza sighed, "And when a demon enters a pact with another, all his property is included in the deal. Being branded to him, that makes me his property by supernatural law."
His fists tightened, "Why would you let him do that? Why would you trap yourself here?"
"We're not. I... I'm not allowed to talk about it, but trust me. Once Jasper explained everything, we understood. This was for the best."
"How could you-"
"Mr. Sitkowski," Jasper firmly interrupted him, "Please, lower your voice. I understand you're upset over your friend's decision but it was theirs to make, not yours. We can discuss this further tomorrow, but it's very late. There's an empty room beside yours. Would you do me a favor and show them to it?"
He gritted his teeth, "Fine. C'mon."
Knox, having watched all of this, stayed quiet. He knew better than to intervene. If there was one person he wouldn't mouth off to, it was the warden. As everyone was headed upstairs, he made the bold move to speak up to his uncle, "Wait, uncle Ryan!" He called for him, making him turn back around, "Can we talk, tomorrow? If you have free time?"
At least Ryan got a chance to have someone make him happy tonight. He cracked a smile, "Sure. We'll do lunch."

Felix walked through the dreary mansion, heading towards a small guest room. Jasper followed behind him, though he obviously couldn't walk as fast as the younger vampire. Many of the guest rooms were full at this point. Of course, they could've always put the hunter in an empty patient room, but he probably wouldn't be too happy with that. After all, what sane man would want to sleep in an asylum?
He opened the door, becoming completely blindsided by bright as fuck sunshine. Felix threw his arm over his eyes with a hiss. He wasn't very well adapted to bright light. Most people in his family weren't. Marci quickly rushed over to the window and yanked it shut.
"Sorry, sorry!" She quickly spoke, "Sorry, Babe! Are you okay?"
He rubbed his eye, laughing, "I'm fine. Just a little..." He sighed, "Bright."
"That is the most stereotypical vampire moment I've ever seen you have." The hunter, BK, pointed out. He lifted the soup bowl in his hands up to his lips, drinking the last of it.
"Shut up." Felix bitched at him, as two guy friends would do. "Your boss is here to see you."
BK got out of bed and went over to the chair in the room to get his clothes. He glanced over his shoulder as he heard the unmistakable clack of a cane against hardwoods. "Here to tell me I fucked up?"
"Hm, well, to be quite frank I was a little disappointed you couldn't take a reaper. I know they're resilient, but they don't have the skill you do. Or, I suppose, you did." He responded.
"It's been awhile since I had a real fight. Give me a break. The only jobs you've been giving us lately don't take a whole lot of skill."
Felix rolled his eyes, "Anything's easy to fight if you sedate it."
"And how would you know? You've been gone for two years." His tone wasn't as threatening as you might think. They had no problem being hard on one another. BK sat down on the edge of the bed, lacing up his boots. "How's that work, anyways? You're still banished."
"The natives haven't noticed I'm here yet. I guess we'll worry about it once they do." He said, then scoffed, "I mean, humans aren't allowed up here either but you and dumbass got in."
"I'm not sure any of the Gods are even here right now. The temple looked empty when we got here." BK replied.
Marci frowned in concern, "I don't think Demi-Gods just take vacations."
Jasper groaned quietly, "They don't. I'll send someone to investigate. For now, BK, if you'd like to complain about being out of practice, I've got a new guard dog if you'd like to break him in."
He stood up, rolling back his shoulders, "Gladly. Is he a demon?"
"Yes, he is. He's got brawn but I need to see if he's got brains. We'll do this little exercise in the basement, though. The foyer is already enough of a mess from last night." He glanced over at Felix, "Your father is not nearly as graceful of a fighter as you. I'm afraid he's cracked my ceiling. Completely ruined the painting Finch did up there too."
He sighed shortly, "I'm sorry, Sir. If you'd like me to repair it on behalf of my idiot father, I gladly will."
"Go talk to Finch. It's his call, considering it was his art that got ruined." Jasper replied, "Now, about that demon, he has a submissive play the roll of his sidekick. If you'd like, you can chose one of the others to fight alongside you. That is, if you fear you may not be able to take him."
Being as stubborn as any human would be, BK said, "I can take him myself just fine. However, I wouldn't be completely against the idea of having someone I could tag into the fight if it gets too bad. I'll think about it, but fight, I'm going to get more soup from Paris."
"How does he eat so much but stays so thin?" Marci mumbled to her boyfriend.
He laughed under his breath, "I don't understand humans enough to answer that. I've seen some that barely look at food and gain ten pounds, and others that could eat a whole table of food and stay thin. Their biological makeup is so... Inconsistent."
"Do spirits even eat? Or do they gain weight?" BK questioned her.
She blushed, uncomfortable with the full answer, "Depends on how you died..."
Felix instantly recognized she was uncomfortable and changed the subject, "Would you like to come with me to see Finch?"
She softly smiled at him, "Yeah, sure."
He slipped his hand in her's, giving her a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Metaphorically speaking, of course. She didn't exactly have a stomach to get butterflies in. He took her out of the room, heading across the upstairs hall that connected the two sides of the mansion. The doctor's office was easy to identify. A chrome name plate was fastened onto his door.
Felix knocked first, getting granted access quickly. Finch was the sweetest, more lighthearted doctor there. He rarely ever turned out anyone when they needed his attention. At the moment, Joy was sat on the leather couch in the room. She stayed quiet while the vampire and spirit entered the room.
"Jasper told me the ceiling needs repairs, after my father destroyed it. I offered my help, but he said to talk to you." He said.
"I don't know what to do about that pesky thing. Truly, I never really liked the painting that was up there. It's currently a portrait of Freya, but I don't find it very fitting. I think I'll cover it and paint someone new. The manor could use something refreshing anyways... I could certainly use your help. Marci, as well. I'll need an acrobat like yourself to help me up that high."
"Let us know when you need us, then." He squeezed his love's hand, "We've got some time to kill. What'd you want to do?"
"Nap." She replied honestly. Even if she did have his strength to support her now, her health conditions remained. It didn't take much for her to tire.
Felix swept her offer her feet into a bridal position, "Sleep it is, then."

Comment Question: Who should BK take in the fight with him?
A/N: I've mentioned this on Twitter already, but since Croc is the only completely original character in this, I'd really like to get some fanart for him. His character's description and details can be found in Chapter 33 of the first Crow. book. If anyone is able to make me some art of him, please tweet it to me! Same username as my Wattpad.
