Is it just me or does anyone not remember the ending of HoO where Percy and Annabeth are making their future plans and one of said plans is specifically to finish high school together and then college in New Rome

Because I've seen a lot of stories set immediately after HoO at Goode or with Percy and Annabeth going to school together and it's like oh let's surprise Percy with Annabeth transferring in.

They were already planning that. He ain't gonna be surprised.

Even in ToA it's eluded to that Annabeth lives at Sally's or near her place now and heads to school with Percy, as Percy told Apollo that Annabeth had to head up north because of a family emergency to search for her cousin and then that she found him but he was dead but wasn't and that he still wasn't going to help him on his quest
