"Favorite fanfiction"

Well, anything Stevinel based, really. Though if I had to choose a favorite, it'll be the Archive of our Own story "Solitaire" by blackcatspinel. It's actually a very VERY good story revolving around serious topics but also with the perfect amount of fluff, not to mention the detail and storyline.

Sadly, earlier this year the author discontinued the story and left the SU fandom for good due to mental health issues and said on her instagram that really writing that fic was a coping mechanism for her. Makes since since there's a hell ton of angst. But it's still up on AO3 and I wish her the best.

To put it simply, Spinel has 3 personalities in one body:

SPADE; The evil, malicious side of her that is highly aggressive. (And she also hooks up with Lars a lot which pisses Steven off)

HEART; The innocent, loving, and stupid side of her that has to deal with Spade's abuse towards her in the body. Steven favors her a lot.

CLOVER; The neutral side of Spinel, also the side Steven prfers over anything.

I won't spoil everything, but if you have time, go check it out! It has around...86 chapters? But I'm telling you, it is worth while!
