Chapter 6 Marbelsville Not the Ideal Spot

 Pyrrha's  POV:

I sigh. I look around me unsure where to go and who to turn to.

It is not like I know anyone here. Besides, the last time I tried to get help the locals mocked me.

I would have to find some different clothes. I might take a while to return to Beaconville.

I reached into the pocket of my dress and found some loose change: a few pennies, dimes, and a twenty-dollar bill. I hoped it would be sufficient for a fresh outfit and some shelter. I entered a small shop that promised to sell clothes. I smiled as I took a look inside. I found something.

I tried the red dress in the changing room and discovered it fit. I slipped into the sandals and they fit too. The outfit was just the things I needed to blend in and I bought them.

I left the shop grateful the owner let me wear my purchased goods outside and had bagged up my previous attire. I entered a small bed and breakfast next. I paid for a room and was given a key. I entered it and set down my few belongings. It was nice and I could see the view of a small body of water with a pier beside it from the window.

I left and locked the door behind me. Making sure the key was with me at all times.     I purchased some pajamas, a toothbrush, a toothbrush, and a comb from a small gas station area. I was short on funds. I used the remaining money to buy a sandwich, a bag of chips, and two bottled waters.

I  left with my purchases and went back to the B and B. Once inside the room, I shut the door and locked it. I ate the food and watched some television. The whole time, I hoped all was well back home with my friends. I hadn't seen any of them in ages, especially my crush, Juane "John".  I smiled as I recalled how cute his smile was, and how he reminded me of someone special.

I must find a way back to him. I had to. I did not want him to move on to some other girl.

Besides, Marblesville was not the ideal spot for a getaway. I finished the food, turned off the tv and prepared for bed. Soon, I was asleep in the bed. I woke up the next morning confused until I remembered where I was and got dressed.  I had ordered breakfast to be sent to my room. I was surprised to see money appear on the floor beside the door and used that to pay for the meal once it was delivered.

The food was delicious. It was a biscuit, some cheese, grapes, and a slice of bacon. I ate it all because I was rather hungry.  I drank some of my leftover water.

I  combed my hair and brushed my teeth. I held onto the bag with the other clothes inside since I was wearing the dress again. I saw a flash of light and screamed as I closed my eyes. I felt the light surround me. Where had it come from and where was I headed? There were still so many unanswered questions that troubled me.  I heard something open and I started to shiver.

What was it? What would become of me?  I opened my eyes and saw a bright blue light beam with a strange black-heart shaped object in the center. What could it all mean?  Why did I hear sounds coming from out of the centered item?

"Who is there?" I called out. I hoped someone would respond or reach out to help me.

I was afraid more than I had been in years. The sudden lack of sound troubled me once I noticed the music had stopped. I looked around me and realized I now stood in what looked like a white and blue marbled arena. The arena was surrounded by water and the same bright blue light I had seen earlier. Where on earth was I?  Had I been transported somewhere?  If so, then, how? I had not seen any buttons, or other obvious hints that explained all this to me.

"Is there anyone there?" I asked. I heard nothing but silence, dead silence all around me.

Suddenly I  heard a beep noise and felt the spot I stood on move a bit to the left, then I heard it squeak. I  gasped as the arena which turned out to be a platform was lifted. I was not sure exactly how up I was, but I knew it was rather high.   I could feel my feet shake underneath me.

        "Help!"  I heard myself scream.

I heard laughter and cheers from the crowd. Oh, my, where was I?

I felt something being shoved in my direction. I looked up and saw a whip.  Who had given it to me?  I held onto it as if my life deepened on it. I stood there feeling off-balanced and held onto the single weapon I was given a whip.  I realized I had another one on me but it was out of my reach.

I gasped in shock when I saw what faced me now. It was a Tiger cub. I did not know what I was expected to do.  Was I to train it?  Or was the whip meant to defend myself?  I was not sure about anything. I squinted as I watched to see what the tiger was about to do.

I watched in horror as it charged at me. I used the whip. The crowd cheered more.
