Next day

"Good morning!"

"Morning." Anjali replied to Ratna.

"What happened?"

"Nothing!"

"Missing Aman!" Nani teased.

"ENOUGH!! He isn't someone whom I would miss. He is nobody. Nobody to me. Do you get that. I HATE HIM." Saying she sprinted towards her room.

"Guess what!! They had a terrific fight this time." Nani frowned.

"But Ma, she wasn't mad this time. It's something else. There is something we are missing. Why did she say that she hate him!" A mother in her tensed.

"Oh ho ChottiYou know her right! She is short tempered. Just give her time and space, she would be fine by noon."

"But-"

"Sit and have your breakfast. And where is chotte?"

"He is in room. Had arrived late yesterday so I thought to let him sleep."

"Hmm."

"Aman?"

"He didn't come last night and even Anjali was here. I guess they had fought before yesterday. That's why Aman wasn't home yesterday, whole day."

"I hope he is fine."

"Morning Ma." Aman who just came in, wished them.

"Good morning beta. You would live for 100 years. We were just talking about you. Where were you last night?" Ratna says

"Uhh... Had little work. So..." He lied.

"Oh. No problem. Have breakfast." They bought his lie, easily.

"I need to speak to Anjali before that. Where is she?"

"Beta... I wanted to ask if everything is alright between you two?"

"It will fall into place Ma. I am sorry for making you all worried."

"No beta. It's ok. And she is in her room. I guess very upset."

"I will see to it."

Measuring his steps, he reached their room. Knocking, he waited for a while.

"Ma please. I want to stay alone for sometime."

"Its me. Aman."

Silence.

Thinking it as a signal, he slightly pushed open the door. Anjali was sitting on the bed with folded legs and a pillow in her lap. Her eyes were red and sore from crying. The sight of her, pained and squeezed something in his heart.

She looks so tired and worn-out.

She glanced up at him and then back in her lap.

Sighing he went and sat at the corner maintaining a good distance between them.

"Where are the papers?" He asked after a breath.

"Papers?"

"Divorce papers." Anjali looked at him with wide eyes. Fearing if he had made his mind.

He didn't even think to clarify the matter. Didn't Think to let me know what he wants and what I want. He is just divorcing me.

"Uhh... In the cupboard."

Getting up, he went towards the closet and fetched the damn papers. Coming back, he looked at her and then back at the papers.

Holding them, he tore it from the middle.

"I don't want this divorce. But if you want it, then here-" He extended another set of papers that he brought along with him.

"These are the papers. Read them and sign. I can't bind you with me unwillingly for life. If you are not happy with me, I... I am freeing you." He gulped looking away.

"And when you sign them, just send them through Arnav. He knows everything." Saying he stood, ready to leave. Not having a heart to look at her vulnerable state as well as to show his.

"Aman." Anjali whispered when he reached the door. He turned to see her in tears. He wanted to rush and hold her in his arms as always but held himself back this time with great difficulty.

Her tears always stabbed his heart at place.

No matter how desperately he wanted her with himself, but if she doesn't trust their love then so be it. Maybe they weren't meant for eachother.

"Why did you do that? Was my love not enough for you that you had to go to another women! How could you?"

"I am not here to give explanations. Send them when you sign them." He spat with his tightened jaw and clenched fists at his side.

"Aman, I need reasons. I won't divorce you till then."

"Then don't." He turned. Sitting closer to her he held her hands. His voice held desperation and eagerness.

"Huh?" She asked confused for a second.

"Yes!-" He tightened his hold but Anjali withdrew them roughly.

"Wait. Stop it! Don't make me a fool. You want me as well as her at the same time? Right!! I didn't knew you could be so cheap." Aman froze at his place.

She thinks so lowly of me. Cheap, characterless and a playboy image is what I have created of myself in her eyes.

"How can I fall for a man like you?" She questioned herself.

"This is... what you think of me?" He whispered in raspy voice.

Not having a heart to listen more of the accusations, he left without a word. He didn't want to again commit a sin by slapping her. He is regretting the day he did that.

The damn broke today. The tears he had determined to not shed anymore were left loose to flow.

Descending down the stairs, he came face to face with Arnav.

"Hey Aman!" He chirped.

Without a word he left the mansion leaving all of them worried.

12: 00 PM

"Sir, this is Mehta's file. They wanted a meeting to clarify the terms of the deal once again."

"Sir?"

"Sir?"

"Huh!... Sorry. I will get back to you. Please give me some time."

"Sir. Is everything alright?"

"Yes Lavanya. Please leave me alone for some time. And don't disturb me or divert any calls here."

"Yes sir."

Aman sighed. He cried at his fate. He prayed to not give anybody the same fate as his.

He felt so lost and alone. He could feel the void coming back in his heart that has been occupied by the love that he got from that family.

Well the journey was till this. He needs to sort it out. And for that he will need to clear out something before leaving, for good.

He could have told her everything today but the question was will she believe it? Will she believe in him again?

He wondered what did he do that she made him a villian in his own love story.

Knock knock

"Do not disturb." Aman says.

"Aman, its Arnav."

"I am busy."

"I am coming in." Arnav says before entering in.

"Aman" he gasps to see his teary eyes. His eyes were red, his hair dishevelled, his nose running.

"Arnav I asked not to disturb. Why the hell can't you understand!"

"Shut up-"

"You shut up. You brother and sister have made me insane."

"What did she do now?"

"As if you don't know." He chuckled humorously.

"Aman." He warned.

"Don't Aman me. Don't. I am not in my right mind set. Leave before I do something I regret. Leave... Please."

"I won't. I won't untill you tell me what did she do this time? And why were you crying? Why did you leave without answering today? Why did you? You know all are so worried because you left just like that! Now speak something?"

Silence. No answer!!!

Aman turned otherside facing his back to him and clenched his fists to control the bubbling rage inside him.

He needs to stay alone for sometime and this damn guy isn't leaving. Altogether he is accusing me for making all worried.

Well they have in blood to accuse the unaccussed, innocent...

His chain of thoughts came to halt when he felt a hand on his shoulder blade.

"Leave Arnav. I beg of you." He says helplessly.

"Aman-"

"DAMMIT LEAVE!!" Aman yelled at his face before turning around and slamming his fist on the table making all the items to vibrate and jump at their place.

"Ok. I am leaving." Saying he left the cabin.

Raizada Mansion

"Ma what is happening? Anjali and Aman! Something is fishy. They aren't talking with each other and moreover Anjali said she hates him. I am telling you Ma she is upto something. I am sure she must have done something." Ratna spoke restlessly.

"Chotti, calm down first. It may be a regular fight between the couple. Small arguments and differences are a part of life."

"How could I calm down Ma!! And do you think this is the small fight? Did you see how Aman left! He seemed to be so shattered. There is something definitely and I am going to talk this to Anjal before it's too late." Saying she left for Anjali's room.

She came in to see the room empty.

"Anjali?" She called.

"One minute mother." A voice came from the bathroom.

Ratna sat on the bed fidgeting with the end of her saree. After  around five minutes, Anjal came outside. Her eyes were red and she looked tired.

"Ma, do you have some work?"

"Yes. I want to talk about you and Aman." For a moment Anjali widened her eyes, thinking that she came to know. But she quickly masked her expressions the next moment.

"What about us ma?"

"Did you both fight?"

"No. Why would we! Everything is good between us ma." She assured.

"Are you sure?" She asked pulling her hand making her sit besides.

"Yes Ma." She said avoiding meeting her eyes.

"Then why did you shout and said you hate him? Why did he leave crying?" Anjali looked at her mother nervously and averted her eyes.

"Its... Its absolutely nothing ma. Believe me. We are fine. Just a small fight we had now. You know how he is!"

"Anjali, definately there is something fishy. Tell me before I come to know from someone." Anjali tried harder to put her tears at bay. Quickly getting up she went to her closet.

"Its nothing ma. We are all good." She tried her best to keep her voice tact.

"Are you sure Anjali?"

"Yes ma." She turned and smiled at her which didn't reach her eyes.

"Ok. I believe you." She smiled and left.

"Sir, I had asked Aman sir to look into it but he..."

"It's ok. I will do it. Just send Khushi in."

"Yes sir. Anything else?"

"No. Thank you. You can leave now."

After a few minutes Khushi came inside after knocking.

"You called me sir?"

"Yes. Did you get the papers ready for the deal."

"Yes sir. They are at your desk already." She searched the file and handed him.

"Alright." He says checking the file.

"Send the quotation to the company."

"Ok sir. Anything else?"

"Can I ask you a personal question? If you don't mind!"

"Yes sir. Sure."

"Do you want your culprits behind the bar?" And a brief silence followed behind the question.

"Its ok. You don't have to answer."

"Sir, it doesn't matter anymore now. I am happy where I am now. So no, I won't want them behind the bars."

"Why Khushi. We will hunt them down and punish them. Don't you want justice? Don't you think he needs to be at his right place, in prison?"

"How does it matter sir. It better if we stay out of this. Now I will take revenge and later he would counter attack. And maybe this process of revenge goes on. I don't want to loose anyone now. I have made such a good family and I would never want to harm them because of me. So please sir, just let it be!"

"But-"

"No sir. Please. Let's not talk about it."

"Ok. As you wish. But remember, I will always be there whenever you need me."

"Yes sir. Thank you so much. Without the support of you and your family, I would have been died today. I am really grateful to you."

"Once you say us as family and the next moment you feel grateful. Is this how you thank family?"

"I don't know how to thank them sir. I am sorry." She bowed her head.

"Ohoo Khushi. I was just pulling your leg. I meant why don't you join us for dinner today? Anyways Ma is already missing you."

"No. Sir actually I have little work at home today. So some other time. And tell Aunty that I too miss her and all of them."

"Ok. No problem. I will convey the message." He smiled.
