"Aryan, don't you think we came to far away from the main spot and other people?" Prachi asked.

"Leave the others. Everything is so beautiful here. We can enjoy the best scene from this peak." Ranbir replied.

Prachi ignored him and turned to Aryan for an answer.

"It's so quiet here. I thought we could do with some peace." Aryan replied.

Since it was a holiday, Aryan had suggested that they should go for a outing as they had been home bound for many days. For some reason, they denied Rhea who wanted to join them. So, the four of them were here today, trekking.

"We should be careful. If one of us falls down from here, they others won't even find a single bone of him/her." Shahana cautioned looking down at the abyss below.

"Such a scaredy cat you are! Look carefully, it's not so deep." Aryan mocked and took her close to the edge.

As they were walking towards the edge, Aryan's leg got tangled with Shahana's and they rolled down.

"Aryan! Shahana!" Prachi screamed.

"We are here." Aryan responded.

Ranbir looked down and found them hanging from the root of a tree.

"Are you fine?" Ranbir asked.

"Are you mad? How can they been fine there?" Prachi glared at him.

"You talked to me finally!" Ranbir said jubilantly.

"Is that important now? Save them." she ordered.

"We won't be able to keep hanging for long. Help us." Shahana shouted.

"Don't leave the tree. We'll go and bring back help soon." Prachi said.

"There isn't so much time for it. Till the time you come back, this root will break off and we will have fallen down." Aryan rejected the idea.

"Ok. So, Ranbir and I can form a type of human chain and pull you up." Prachi was quick to think of another idea.

"No. We shouldn't......I mean we can't help them." Ranbir almost yelled.

"Why can't we?" Prachi frowned at him.

"Look at the rock there. If we try to do something from here, it might be dislodged and hit Shahana directly." he explained.

"So what shall we do? Stand here and watch them fall too death?" Prachi was frustrated.

"We are in such a situation that we have to help ourselves. So, I am going to take a step now which will either take us to safety or directly to heaven." Aryan said.

"Be careful. I know you will be safe." Prachi closed her eyes and prayed.

"Shahana, leave the root." Aryan ordered.

"What! If I leave it, I will fall down." Shahana pointed.

"I meant leave the root and hold me. I will not let you fall down." Aryan elaborated.

"How will support the weight of both of us? We will fall down." Shahana was reluctant to act on his advice.

"If you don't do this, we will surely falling down in the next 5 minutes but if you follow what I say, we may be saved.

"It will be difficult for you to climb with me. Why don't you......"

"Do you love me?" he asked seriously.

"Huh?" Shahana thought she was hearing things.

"Do you love me Shahana? I love you a lot." he repeated.

"We are about to die and you are flirting here.... like seriously?"

"It's a genuine question. I love you firm the bottom of my heart. Pleasure answer." he requested.

"Yes...... Yes, I think I really love you Aryan. May be this is my last chance to say it." she cried.

"Since you love me, trust me too. I'll not let any of us die."

Shahana left one of her hand and Aryan caught it in his and pulled her towards him. She held his neck tightly with other hand. Now, she was clutching him somewhat like a koala sticking on a tree.

Aryan manages to find a foothold and climbs there cautiously. He kept finding footnotes and climbing up slowly. Aryan smiled at Shahana whose eyes' were shut tight. She had accepted her love for him. Finally, they were up.

Shahana got down from Aryan's back and surprised to find Prachi staring angrily at Aryan instead of feeling happy and Ranbir sporting a sorry look.

"I didn't expect this from you Aryan." Prachi gave Aryan a dangerous look.

"He didn't make us fall intentionally." Shahana knew how protective Prachi was for her.

"I'm not angry at him for that." Prachi answered. "It's the proposal that I'm talking of......."

"I get it we should have been serious at that moment but we thought it was our last chance to confess." Shahana wasn't aware of the true facts.

"I guess Aryan knows well about it, don't you Aryan?"

"Did you reveal everything to her?" Aryan threw daggers at Ranbir.

"Hehe........She was arguing with me about not trying to save you and my tongue kind of slipped and I disclosed everything." Ranbir grinned sheepishly.

"What are you guys talking about? Care to explain it to me?" Shahana couldn't understand what the other three were discussing about.

"It wasn't an accident. These two idiots had planned it so that Aryan could propose you with the guarantee of 100% positive response and I start talking with Ranbir out of anxiety." Prachi disclosed.

Shahana's eyes widened in shock, she looked ready to kill Aryan.

"You did this so that I say 'yes' to your proposal? From which mental asylum did you escape? What if we had really fallen down and died?" she shot the questions at him.

"Nothing would have happened to us. I had arranged for a safety net a few feet down. Moreover, it was not at all difficult to climb up as there were numerous footholds." he revealed. "Didn't you want an unique proposal?"

"I want to break up with you right now. Who proposes like this?" Shahana was mad.

"I think we should boycott them for a year minimum for this." Prachi suggested.

"You are right." Shahana agreed and both the girls began walking away.

The boys had already anticipated it and had a plan ready too. They picked up their lady loves and amidst their protests, took them a little distance and put them back on the ground. The rest was done by the setting sun. It was a sight to behold. Being ardent nature lovers, Shachi settled down on the soft grass. Minutes ticked by in silence. The soothing breeze had calmed Shachi. So, when the boys apologized to them with their best cute faces, they couldn't help but forgive them and laugh at the situation.
