After 10 days.

That night when Raghuveer came home. Shrishti told him everything. He was feeling guilty. Because he told Preeta to go to Prithvi's house. But Preeta told him not to be guilty. They had their dinner and slept.

In these 10 days Preeta has forgot about the incident but not completely. Whenever she is alone and free. Her mind is stuck on the incident.

Shrishti and Raghuveer have been noticing this and were trying to keep Preeta busy. But ofcourse they can't stay with her 24x7.

While on the other side, Karan was unaware of all this. And he was too busy in his practice and office work. He didn't get much time to talk to Preeta but he still sometimes talked to her on messages. He thought she was all fine.

In night.

Shrishti convinced Preeta to watch a movie to which Preeta agreed. Shrishti went in kitchen to take popcorn.

She came back to room and saw Preeta looking out of window with slight tears.

She felt too sad and decided to inform Karan about it. Before this, she didn't contact Karan as she didn't want to disturb him but today its been 10 days. So she called Karan. While Karan picked up.

Karan: Hello Shrishti tune iss waqt call Kiya sab thik to haina..... Preeta thik haina?

Shrishti: Nahi hai.

Karan: Kya hua hai Preeta ko??

Shrishti: Karan sir aapko to pata hai na ki uss incident ke baad di ki halat kya ho gayi thi?? Wo ab tak poori tarah se move-on nahi kar paayi hai. Wo jab bhi akeli aur free hoti hai unhe wo baat pareshan karne lagti hai. Wo nahi bhula paa rahi hai. Aur mujhe aapse madad chahiye. Kyuki sirf aap hi hai jinke saath di apne dil ki baat khulke share karti hai aur maanti hai. Aap please unse baat kijiye na. Aap karenge na meri madad??

Karan: Arre ye bhi koi puchne ki baat hai. Mein ofcourse help karunga aur tune mujhe pehle kyu nahi bataya ki Preeta abhi bhi uss baat se picha nahi chuda paayi hai??

Shrishti: Mein aapko disturb nahi karna chahti thi.

Karan: Arre isme kaisa disturb? Preeta to meri dost hai. Sabse achi dost. Uski madad nahi karunga to kisiki karunga.

Shrishti: Thank you so much Karan sir.

Karan: Arre isme kya thank you. Aur waise kal Sammy ka birthday hai to tum aur Preeta jarur aana. Mein wahi Preeta se baat karlunga.

Shrishti: Kya kal Sammy ka birthday hai aur usne mujhe bataya bhi nahi?? Mein abhi batati hu usse. Aur mein aur di zarur aayenge. Bye.

Karan (chuckles): Bye.

Shrishti hangs the call.

She goes to Preeta they start watching movie. They both sleep while watching movie.

Next day.

In evening.

Preeta and Shrishti reach Luthra House to see guests had already arrived. They both also went inside. They saw Rakhi and went to her and greeted her, she greeted them back. They were talking when suddenly Mahira comes from behind and says to Rakhi.

Mahira: Aunty mein kaisi dikh rahi hu.

Rakhi: Bohot achi lag rahi hi beta.
(Me: Aunty lagta hai aapko chashme aa gaye hai)

Mahira: Thank you so much aunty.

She looks at Preeta and Shrishti.

Mahira(smiling fakely): Hi Preeta.

Preeta (smiling fakely): Hi Mahira.

Mahira(pointing towards Shrishti): Ye kon hai??

Preeta: Ye meri behen hai.

Mahira: Ohh!

She saw Karan coming downstairs looking handsome as always.

His look:

She goes towards him.

Mahira: Hi Karan.

Karan (smiling fakely): Hello.

He saw Preeta looking here and there. She was looking beautiful, she always does but today he was seeing her after 10 days. He smiled widely and ignoring Mahira started going towards her.

Her look:

While she was seeing him from corner of her eyes. She got confused that why was he coming towards her??

He reached to her and hugged her.

Karan: Hi babydoll. Kaisi ho tum??

Preeta (hugging him back): Hii...mein thik hu.

They both break the hug. Karan hugs Shrishti, she also hugs him back. Sameer comes down. Everyone goes to him and start wishing him happy birthday. Party started.

The party was going smoothly.

Karan saw Preeta was standing alone. She was holding a glass of juice in her hand but was not drinking from it, she was just playing with it. He decided to talk to her.

He tapped her left shoulder and before she saw behind he moved towards her right. He again tapped her right shoulder. She looked behind to see him.

Karan: Kya hua, yaha akeli kyu khadi ho??

Preeta: Kuch nahi bas aise hi.

Karan: Kuch soch rahi thi??

Preeta: Na...nahi to mein kuch nahi soch rahi.

Karan (softly): Tum uss din ke baare mein soch rahi ho na??

She looks at him with tears.

Preeta: Nahi mein uss din ke baare mein nahi soch rahi thi.

Karan: Mujhse jhuth bologi?

Preeta immediately hugs him and starts crying.

Preeta: Karan mein nahi bhula paa rahi.

She starts crying.

He caresses her hair to calm her.

He saw around and thought anyone would see them and ask what happened which he did not want.

Karan: Chalo hum room mein chalte hai yaha koi dekh lega.

She nods and they both go to his room. He locks it from inside so that no one disturbs them.

Karan: Preeta...

She hugs him and again starts crying but this time more loudly.

Preeta(sobbing): Karan nahi...nahi bhula paa..rahi mein. Nahi ho raha mujhse.

Karan starts caressing her hair softly because he very well knows that this calms her down.

Karan: Shhh...its ok. Hmm? Koi baat nahi. Tum pehle to Rona band karo. Calm down.

He breaks the hug and wipes her tears.

Karan: Babydoll please yaar roya mat karo mujhe bura lagta hai.

Preeta wipes her tears.

Karan: Very good.(holds her hand) Ab batao mujhe kya hua hai??

Preeta: Karan mujhe....mein..mein nahi bhula paa rahi. Vo din, vo incident baar baar mere dimaag mein aa hi jaata hai. Mujhe bhulana hai usse....mein bhulana chahti hu. Par nahi ho raha mujhse.

Karan: It's ok. Tumhare saath jo hua wo kisi bhi ladki ke liye koi normal baat nhi hai. I understand but kab tak tum uspe hi rahogi.(he looks at her who was having little tears) it's ok. Take your time.(she looks at him) Yes, take your time agar tumhe time chahiye recover karne ke liye to lo. 10 din, 15 din ya 1 mahina jitna time chahiye lo. But please ro mat, try karti raho. Take your time.

She hugs him.

Preeta: Tum bohot ache ho.

Karan: I know.

They both chuckle.

They both go downstairs.
