Chapter 25: Pain of separation

At 3 A.M:

Arush was tossing on the bed clutching her mumma picture in the middle of the night. Tears was trickling down his chubby cheeks. Its been 2 days he was starving. Mother Mary tried to convince him a lot but he was adamant to meet khushi and close himself in a room.

''Mumma where are you.. I m missing you so much...please comeback..'' His eyes twinkled hopelessly hearing the door bell. He immediately come out of his room and ran to open the door. Seeing bandages on her, his body rooted at the ground. She was motionless. Her face was pale and eyes were puffy red. He directly jumped into her arms and cried her heart out tugging her closer.

Arush: ''Mumma..how this happen..why you are silent answer me? Don't you love me..why you left me? He was started throwing lots of question but she keep numb and silently staring at him while carelessing his back.

''You will not leave me, right?'' He asked in a weak voice. Tears left her eyes as pain once again stabbed her heart. She shook her head still unable to speak anything.

''I love you mumma, I will not live without you..'' Khushi started showering his face with kisses and after a long time he sleep in her arms clutching her tightly. Lifting him up, she took him toward his room and made him sleep on the bed after switching off the light. She touched his cheeks and look at his distorted condition. He is looking so thinner and weak.

Khushi: ''I am sorry Arush..mumma is so bad..she go away without even thinking how you're going to survive with me and for whom..for a person who don't deserve to be called a human..'' Her heart was paining that it is getting unbearable. She left her son for that monster. That's when maid come inside. Khushi intrude outside and maid enquire her what had happen in her absence. She was terribly shocked.

Khushi: What? Arush havn't eat anything since two days? 'She closed her mouth with her palm trembling in fear. How could you be so careless..I gave aarush responsibility to you and what you did..can't you inform me before? My baby was suffering so much and you are telling menow..how could you be so careless..i never expect this from you. She shouted. Maid had noanswer and was standing bowing her head down. Khushi was feeling extremely distraught putting him in such miserable condition. She got up bursting inanger while maid was standing defeated.

Mother mary wake up hearing her loud voice and went to calm her down.

Mary: ''Relax my child..she have no fault in it...its me who stopped her in telling you..'' Khushi looked at her in disbelief.

Khushi: ''But why mother..why you don't inform me..wasn't Ihave any right to know about my arush..? Its entirely my fault I shouldn't go leaving him alone knowing how much he is attached to me. .'' she cursed herself. Mary made her sit forcefully and gave her plane glass of water to coolher. She hold her head feeling traumatized while mary tried to pacify her.

''I am a failure, a bloody failure..i always failed to brought up my loved ones..I only knew how to make other suffer..i never make them happy..'' She closed her eyes and recalled his words.

''You are abusing me first look at yourself what you are! I can't believe a girl can stoop so low for some money that can sold herself and gave birth as well..what a pity!! Tell me one thing do you know really know name of your son's father or not, else you get so engrossed in pleasuring yourself that didn't noticed whose seeds paid off the result..''

''If I am a cheap then what you are..a bloody prostitute ismuch better than you. She atleast know the name of the father and I have adoubt you may know or not..''

''Its good your mom dad is not alive to see you like that else they would be died seeing the ugly side of their daughter..'' A sob escapedfrom her mouth.

She was feeling disgusting loving a man to such an extend who can think so cheap about her. He is so cruel, only knew how to hurt others. I am so stupid, I always thought he would love me and keep running behind him in a ray of hope one day I can see love in his eyes that I used to get three years ago but my arnav is died. I lost him...I lost him forever. Last night he crashes all my delusion. A tremble passed through her remembering his cheap acts. She buried her head downand began sobbing crying her heart out.

Mary: ''My child..stop crying..why you worrying so much...nothing will happen to arush..he is alright..you met with accident that's the reason Ihide it from you and now since you came back, everything will be normal..yah!'' She assured her soothingly. Khushi was sitting there totally numb that literallyscared mary.

''You are a fighter and I knew you will handle everything will..'' Saying this she went out giving her space. Mother mary was like diama to khushi. She supported her in every circumstances. She have never seen her in somuch pain. There is definitely something wrong but she didn't persuade much thinking with time everything will be alright but least she know the woundthat injured her heart hardly get amendable. Her heart has been shattered and was leftbroken and cold.

''Oh god! I never think in my wildest dream arnav could ever treatme like an evil monster..'' A warm drop of tear roll down her cheeks

'Arnav why you do this to me..i loved you deep from myheart but you..that's enough I will not waste my tears for such a man..'' Sheroughly wiped her tears and decided to start her new life with her arush. Thisis the new beginning of her life. Now arush is her everything. She don't needanyone neither today nor tomorrow. She look at arush and embrace him in hisarms.

''I want to thank you devimaiya, you gave me arush inspite ofeverything..it has to be a blessing...'' She weakly smiled and dialed her assitant number.

''Hello, this is khushi gupta..i want this work to be done asearly as possible..''

Assitant: ''But mam in such a small span of time, its quite difficultto..''

Khushi: ''I don't want any explanation..do what I m saying..''She disconnect the call waiting for new morning to drawn upon their lives.

Next morning:

Arnav who was sleeping peacefully wasstirring, left and right. He was restless like he was going to loose somethingvery precious. His head was painingterribly. He slowly open his eyes when the cell beep disturbing his nape. Hewas feeling so tired to entertain anyone and by hearing the voice of nextperson, he was irritant like hell.

Sheetal: ''Hello asr.. good morning..how are you baby..?'' She greeted him in her buttery voice.

Arnav: ''You called me at this time?'' He asked annoyed.

Sheetal: Why.. don't you want me to wake you up everyday.Just imagine our life after marriage.. you and me living together in one be..''

Arnav: ''Shut up!!'' He roared. ''I have no time to hear youruseless stuffs..''

Sheetal: ''Okay i will not flirt with you...Ereww..Actually asr I called you to say thank you foryesterday...the way you show your right on me in front of that girl..I feel very nice.. first time you made me feel so special..i love you asr..'' she blushed.

She continued, ''You know what I really can't tolerate thatgirl for a second..i don't understand why you are keeping her in yourhouse..just throw that begger out..'' He clenched his fist in a tight punch andabout to put the phone down when she stopped him.

Sheetal: ''Chill sweetheart..why you spoiling your mood forthat downmarket girl..anyways I want to ask you can we go out today..its beenso long we go out for a date...only you and me..'' she said in a seductive tone.

Arnav: ''Not interested..'' He denied in unpleasant tone.

Sheetal: 'But..!''

Arnav: ''Can't you understand in simple language! I said nomeans no..'' She feel dejected and he throw the phone somewhere andgot up to storm in the bathroom but get startled turning behind. The room was disheveled like something had happened. His shirt was lying discarded on the flooralong with alcolhol bottle. He immediately looked himself in the mirror andrecalled last night michaps. Flashes of the night came before his eyes but hecan't able to remember fully. Their fight, his drunken state and then it was blur.

''What happened last night...? Why I'm feeling so uneasy likekhus-..! He sat on the bed holding his head.

''Arnav please stop! You are not in your senses..let me go!!''

''Today you will see by yourself how I make you mine! I willclaim every inch of body..''

''Please..leave!'' she pleaded.

''You are mine- only mine!'' He opened his eyes and snapped out his head remembering everything.

Dammit!! what I have done..khushi and I...'' His blood stoppedits circulation. He hurriedly ran downstairs wearing his shirt and dashed toward guest room getting worried but found room was empty. Desperately he was searching her in whole mansion.

Khushi..?????? He asked HP who was passing on the way. He remain silent and walked out showing a gloomy face.

''What's wrong?'' He ask everyone but all were looking at him asif he was a criminal. He don't know what to do and where to find her. Where is khushi and whyeveryone behaving so coldly with him. Before he could dwell from his forbiddenmemories, anjali collide with him and he broke his reverie.

''Di apne khus..h.ii ko dekha kya?'' He hesitantly asked butshe didn't look at him and continue walking ignoring him. Now this is the height ofeverything. Why all are behaving so weirdly! He rosed up in anger and before she moveaway he came in front of her blocking her way.

Arnav: ''Can't you hear me..i am asking you something.. where the hell is khushi?'' He asked restlessly.

Anjali: ''SHE IS GONE..GONE FAR AWAY FROM YOUR LIFE..NOW YOU ARE HAPPY?'' She clapped he hands mocking him.

Arnav: ''What..?'' How di know about her! He thought surprisingly.

''How could you let her go in this condition? Don't you knowabout her condition..she is not well?'' He ran a frustrated hand through his hair and started pacing with mobile glued in his ears.

Anjali: ''After what you did with her..what do you expect from her? Anjali yelled throwing her letter on his face. His eyes flinched recognizing her hand writing.

*Flashback*

Anjali was going toward her room taking jug toward her room when she heard someone footsteps from behind. She get shuddered and jug in her hand about to tilt seeing khushi at this time of night. She was walking supporting the walls.

''Khushiji you are still awake and where are you going at this time?'' She stopped her holding her hand. Due to darkness, anjali was unable to see her miserable state. Khushi didn't utter a single word and silently sobbing while fidgeting in her grip to freed herself. She wanted to go far away from this place and never wished to come back again. Anjali can assumed something is terribly wrong withher.

''Khushiji are youokay? Why are you crying..go back to your room...didn't you hear what doctor said..you need rest!''

Khushi: ''Please don't stop me and let me go..I can't stay here anymore..i'm sorry..'' She managed to spoke in her weak voice.

Anjali: ''Have you gone mad..its 2:30 A.M..wait for tomorrow I will tell chotte he will drop you tomorrow to your home..okay? Her heart twitched in pain listening his name. She began shivering that is not go unnoticed by anjali.Did chotte said anything? There is a pin drop silence from her end.

''Tell me..what happened? What he did..'' khushi hugged him tight and cried. Her doubts getting clearer.

Khushi: ''I am very grateful to you..in such a short spam of time youget so close to me..thank you for everything..you are really very sweet and Iwill always remember you...'' Anjali don't understand anything. Her behavior confusing her and upon that herbrother..what happened between them they she wanted to leave this house at thistime.

''Do me one favour..give this letter to your brother..''Before anjali ask any more question, khushi ran away without giving her anychance to stop her.

'Khushiji..khushiji..listen to me..'' Anjali instantly ran toward arnav's room to enquire him about khushi but by seeing his condition, she stopped. Khushi dupatta lying on his bed. It didn'ttook her longer to understand what had happened. Tears rolled down her cheeks. She hold her head in distress and pain and about to fell down when hpsaw her and immediately balanced her. He was also in the state of shocked.

*Flashback end*

Arnav started reading the letter.

''First of all I wanted toapologize of everything. When you got this letter I will go far away from your life...'' Panic began rising him reading it further.

''The moment we spend togetherwas the most beautiful memories that I always bestowed in my entire life. Ican't hide it but i truly loved you whether you believe it or not and probably iwill never be able to forget you. I knew I did lot of mistakes previously but when you go back I started realizing that I m in love with you. He can see tearstrain on the letter.

''There won't be a single moment I didn't missed you..When Isaw you after 3 long years I cannot able to hold myself..my happiness was of no boundaries I thought I got you back again but I was so stupid to think about it. My arnav was died long time back..i can never get him back..i lost himthe day I humiliate him in front of all and that you made me realize last nightwhen you tried to.. You broke me completely.

And now I hate you Mr Arnav singh raizada..I hate you very much probably more than i ever loved you and if you tried then also you will never get me back in your life. Thank you for breaking myheart and showing me the bitter reality..I always pray to my devimaiyya to keep you happy and to give you every happiness that you desire.

Arnav: Khushi kaha hain..i am asking you something where the hell is my khushi? I want her..did you understand..I want my khushi back...'' He screamed

Aman: ''Si..r woh..'' he stammered.

''What?'' He barked loosing his control. Taking a deep breathe, aman gathered courage to tell him truth.

'Little burdle informed that she left this city along with his child shutting down her business and now no one know where she went..i am sorry sir but you lost her..'' Aman curtly said last word. Arnav cannot bear it andin return he get a hard slap from his boss.
