Third Person's POV_

"Gulati relax!"  Anu said, try to calm Karan down who was prancing around the room with a worried face.

"I can't! What if she refuses?" Karan exclaimed in distressed tone making Anu roll her eyes.

"Nahi karegi refuse! Ab toh band hoja! (She won't refuse! Now please stop!)" Anu exclaimed in a frustated tone.

Karan stopped for a second, glared at Anu and then again started his prancing.

"Anu is right, karan. Mahi won't refuse!"  Abhay tried to assure karan, but no avail.

"What's the gurantee? She already refused twice!" Karan exclaimed while showing two fingers.

"Then why are you trying your luck for the third time?" Jay opened his mouth only to earn a glare from karan.

"Jay!" Abhay scolded his little brother.

"By the way, where is Chitra?" Karan asked.

"She is with Mahi, most probably sleeping cause it's 3 freaking am!" Anu said while glaring at karan.

"Guys you are my friends! And most importantly my to be relatives! Anu tu mera saali! Abhay tu mera jija and jay tu mera jija ka bhai! ( Anu you are my sister-in-law! Abhay you are my Brother-in-law and Jay you my brother-in-law's brother!).
Its your duty to help me!" Karan as he plopped next to Anu.

"Anu mere liye chai la!(Anu bring tea for me!)" Karan ordered as he grinned shamelessly.

"Why don't you make it? And listen! Make some for us too!" Anu shot back at Karan.

"Please Anu! You are my sweet little saali na?" Karan tried to pinch Anu's cheek but instead earned himself a slap on his hand.

Anu groaned and got up.

"Move!" Anu exclaimed while pushing karan's leg to a side.

"Jay go help Anu!" Abhay ordered Jay.

Jay nodded and got up.

Everyone in the room was shocked to see that, for the first time jay didn't argue about something which involved Anu.

Anu walked out of the room, followed by Jay.

Anu directly went to the kitchen without turning back once. Jay too silently followed.

"So how do I help?" Jay asked.

"I don't need your help. You can go back." Anu told jay as she boiled the water for tea.

The silence between them was so awkward.

"Listen chipkali what's up?" Jay directly asked.

"Nothing." Anu answered in a monotoneous tone.

"Ghanta! Something is between us!" Jay exclaimed, making Anu turn back, to face him with a weird expression on her face.

"Shit!" Jay cursed, which meant he realized his mistake.

"Not that 'something'! Nothing romantic! Something like.." Jay was struggling to find the suitable word.

"Tension! There is some sort of tension between us!" Jay explained.

"There is no tension between us." Anu answered as she added tea leaves into the boiled water.

"Oh really? Then haven't you talked to since that incident in the party?" Jay questioned Anu.

But she didn't answer.

Jay let out a deep sigh.

"Sorry.." jay trailed off.

"Why?" Anu asked.

" I shouldn't have yelled at you and chased you!" Jay apologized.

"Fine." Anu answered with no expression on her face as she poured milk into the tea and added sugar.

"What?"

"Apology accepted." Anu answered yet again as she poured tea into four mugs and placed them on a tray.

"Then smile." Jay muttered under his breathe.

"What?" Anu asked.

"Nothing! I'll take it." Jay said as he took the tray and walked ahead of Anu.

"Meri sherwani!(my sherwani!)" Yelled karan as he held his hand outof the bathroom.

Anu grabbed karan's sherwani from the bed and put it on Karan's hand.

Karan took it inside and closed the door.

"Gulati where's the ring?" Anu asked Karan in a high pitched voice, so that karan could hear her.

"On the bed! It's my grandma's!" Karan answered in the same manner.

Anu looked at the bed to se a little brown leather box on the bed. She took a hold of it and opened it. There was a little platinum ring with little diamonds crusted on it.

It was adorable!

The door of the bathroom creaked open and Karan came out of it only wearing his Sherwani.

"Gulati chee! Wear your pants!" Anu shrieked as she closed her eyes with her hands.

"That's why I came outside na? To wear my pyjamas." Karan answered while taking seat of the edge of his bedroom.

"Fine! By the way the ring beautiful! Mahi's gonna love it!" Anu said.

Karan smiled while wearing his pyjama.

"Hope so!"

"Accha Gulati did you talk to uncle aunty, mummy papa about this?" Anu asked.

"I already talked to your mummy papa about this and their more than happy about ousting one of their daughters out of the house, though they wished it was you first." Karan said.

"And your mummy papa?" Anu enquired further.

"oh shit!! I forgot to tell them!!!" Karan yelled.

"The fuck Gulati?! Call them now!" Anu panicked.

Karan quickly grasped his phone and dialled his mom's number.

"Mom I am proposing to mahi in an hour!" Karan quckly spoke.

"All the best! And we will be there in the evening."

"Bye love you mom!"

"Love you too beta!" And Karan's mom hung up.

"All clear!" Karan grinned while giving Anu a thumbs up.

"Seriously Gulati?" Anu asked while shaking her head.

"What's going on that I am not aware of?" Mahi asked to geet and preet.

The sisters looked at each other and then back at Mahi.

"Nothing!" They said in sync.

"Really?" Mahi asked while crossing her arms around her chest.

"Really mahi!" Geet said.

"By the way where is Anu and Karan?" The sisters shrugged their shoulders.

Mahi walked out of the room while rolling her eyes. She noticed Jay at the hall doing something on his phone.

"Jay!" Mahi called out grabbing Jay's attention.

"Where is everyone?" Mahi questioned Jay.

Jay shook his head,trying to look as geneuine as he could.

"You don't know?" Mahi questioned again and Jay shook his head again.

Suddenly they heard the sound of 'dhols' and 'nagaras' sound outside.

"Heh?" Mahi was confused as hell,While Jay was smiling. But as soon as Mahi looked at him, he changed his expression to match Mahi's.

Both of them went to the entrance of their house. They were shocked to see the wedding orchestra outside.

Soon Geet and Preet too joined them.

"What's going on?" Mahi asked them but they only grinned at her.

"Wait and watch!" Geet told mahi.

The wedding orchestra stepped aside and Karan came forward on a white horse, dressed up as a groom.

Everything thing Mahi ever dreamt of.

Karan got off the horse and walked to Mahi, as she stood there in awestruck.

Karan got down on his  knees infront of Mahi and opened the ring box.

"Marry me?" He said.

"I swear, I'll never come between you and your dreams. And if you don't wanna get married now, it's okay, we can do that even after we cross 90! But at least wear this! Plus ring will look super cute on you." Said Karan,making Mahi smile.

By them everyone started chanting "say yes".

"Yes!" Mahi said. Karan jumped and hugged the life out of Mahi.
