It was 7AM in the morning in San Ricardo. Puss woke up, stretching his body as he let out a quiet yawn. His green eyes blinked a few times, glancing at his side. He smiled at seeing his favorite thief, fast asleep. He gently leaned down to press a soft kiss in her cheek. She smiled softly in her sleep, making him quietly chuckled at how cute she can be. 'Alright. It's now or never. I better get going' he thought is his head, quietly getting dressed and giving a Perrito a head rub before departing to prepare his surprise.

Few minutes later 9:00 AM...

The tuxedo cat felt a soft nudging. Her eyes blinked open to find Perrito sitting their. His tail wagged in excitement as he held an envelope in his mouth with small flowers attached to it. "Buenos dias" he said, excited to help out in Puss's surprise.

Kitty chuckled, kinda glad that her boyfriend chose to have their friend help him. "Here is your first clue" he told her, placing the letter on her lap. She opened her letter to read it.

'Good morning Kitty. I left to pick up a special package for you. I will be back tonight. Until then, you are now tasked with a scavenger hunt. Perrito will act as your guide. The first location is the cantina. I already made a reservation for you and Perrito for breakfast. Follow the clues and each location you go to, Perrito will give you the next clue. Good luck mi amor. Love Puss'

She read the letter, getting excited honestly. The cat finished up her breakfast, and got ready. As she was getting her boots on, she wondered how this day could end. How his proposal for the second time will be. The first time he proposed was he took her around town, walking and taking a dance in the cantina too. Will today be different?

"Ready?"

She got out of her thoughts to find Perrito standing there with the next clue in his mouth, waiting eagerly. "Ready" she confirmed, taking the letter to start the day.

Their first stop was at the tavern where all the cats go. Kitty did find a spot reserved for her and Perrito with a hot breakfast of cheese omelets, pancakes with fruits on ig, and milk too. "Mm. Es mu deliciosa" Kitty commented, feeling her taste buds tingle with excitement at the sweet flavors of pancake syrup and the warm feeling of melted cheese.

"Glad you enjoy it. Here you go. Your next clue" Perrito said, happily munching on his breakfast. Kitty drank her milk as she read the next clue.

Throughout the day, the clues took the theif to places that she realized she and Puss would love to go. One was the clock tower that had the best view of the whole town. Then, they were in an area where the two would race eachother. Now, the sun began to set as Kitty reached her final clue.

"Alright Kitty. This is the last clue. It will take us at the outskirts of San Ricardo. And then, it will be time for your surprise!" He exclaimed gleefully. The feline smiled at him amusingly as she glanced around the town, now quiet and peaceful. Her eyes spotted this boutique. Her legs moved her to admire the dresses in display. There were animal sized ones too. Although they were beautiful, none of them seemed to be well Kitty.

That is until her eyes were set on a stunning dark blue ocean fabric with a gold accessory lying on top of it, and some scissors. She then remembered the small flowers that were attached to the letters. They were so beautiful. It would be a waste to throw them away now. "Kitty?" Perrito called, noticing she was not following. "Hey Perrito. What do you know about dressing up?" She asked him, smirking as she had an idea to surprise her favorite cat.

Meanwhile...

Puss looked at his reflection in the water, nervousness written all over his furry face. He lifted his hat up to smooth the fur on his head. His paws made sure that his vest had no wrinkles on it. He even shined his boots for this day.

"Ok. Come on Puss. This is not the first time you've done this, so you know what to do. No biggie. Is gonna be fine right?" He talked to himself as he took a look at the place. There were rose petals on the ground, and lit candles. Night time had fallen, so the sky was full of stars. It reminded him of the dance they shared in their golden egg heist. He thought best for them to meet outside the town to avoid any unwanted attention.

"Ok. Now I just need to wait for Kitty" he muttered, walking around a bit. However, he frowned when he felt cold air through his legs. He glanced down and noticed his boots were gone. He sighed unamused. That meant you know who is here.

"Kitty" he said her name annoyed. A small smile formed when his ears heard her deep lovely voice laughing. From the corner of his eyes, she held his boots out to him. "Thank you" he said irritated, quickly putting on his boots. He hadn't even looked at Kitty yet.

"Hi Puss!"

Perrito greeted him excited, making Puss smile. He was honestly grateful for the dog's help in all of this. "Hola Perrito" he greeted him but when he turned his head to look, his smile fell into a stunned look.

He was not expecting Kitty to get dressed THIS good.

She wore this dark blue jumpsuit rompers dress. The fabric flowed so nicely whenever she moved. Part of it covered her left shoulder and a fine gold accessory wrapped around her waist with a light blue gem on it. The flowers from those letters he sent her on the hunt were now worn as a bracelet. She still donned her boots.

Puss looked at her speechless. It's not everyday Kitty dressed up. It was honestly very rare. He brought his hat down to show respect to her, a smile forming on his face.

"Kitty. I was not expecting you to get dressed" he commented shyly, feeling his heart race. Kitty smiled at him amused. This was what she expected. "Well I thought since you were putting so much effort in your surprise, is only fair I get you a surprise" she explained to him, walking around him. She let her sleek tail brush under his chin like a finger tempting him to follow her.

"Yes but I didn't expect you to dress so nicely. You look absolutely beautiful Kitty" he told her with all honesty and love. She blushed pink at those words but she did smile at him shyly. "Gracias" she told him, running her paw behind the fur on her head.

"You uh you look good too. Es muy guapo ginger" she complimented him, taking notice that he was dressed up too. He wore a white button up shirt, and a red vest with gold details on it. The only things Puss kept were his hat and boots which had a shine to it.

"Erm gracias heh heh" he said nervously, fidgeting with his paws. Puss cleared his throat and glanced at Perrito. The dog nodded to him and pulled out the guitar.

"May I have the honor to dance with you Senorita Softpaws?" He offered her with his paw out. Kitty smirked at him, thinking this would be like all their other dances. "Si. Impress me ginger" she accepted, her ears up to hear the exciting and wild guitar music.

Perrito strummed his fingers on the strings but the tone caught Kitty off guard. This one was soft. Gentle. Steady. She looked at Puss puzzled. He smiled at her warmly, still waiting for her to take his paw. The theif decided to see where this would lead and took his paw in hers.

He slowly pulled her to him as his other paw wrapped around her slim waist. They danced around in a slow movement, matching eachother's steps and pace. Kitty looked at Puss and notice how his eyes were not looking at her.

He was still nervous. In a few minutes, he would propose to her again. This could either go well or go into flames really fast. He wanted this to work. He would more than happily accept her choosing to marry another time. A rejection on the other hand, he wasn't sure if he could bear that.

"Puss"

A soft paw gently lifted his head up and he found himself looking into her eyes.  The stars were reflected in them, staring back at him. It made him feel calm. "Tus ojos son tan hermosos en la noche (Your eyes are so beautiful at night)" he whispered to her. She blushed but smiled lovingly at him. Her paws moved to be around his neck, pulling him close so their foreheads touched.

"Thank you Puss. This means a lot to me. I wish we can keep doing this" she whispered to him, getting lost in his green eyes. They shined brighter than any gem in the world.

"Then I will make sure we do this more often" he assured her smiling, spinning her around in his arms. It earned a surprise laughter from her. A sweet melody to his ears that made his heart flutter. He laughed with her, dipping her slightly as Perrito watched, aweing at this lovely moment.

The two cats then stopped their dancing, merely staying in eachother's embrace. Puss nuzzled Kitty's head as they purred affectionately. They liked this time together. Puss wanted to enjoy this longer but he knew it was time to give the big surprise.

"Kitty"

She glanced up at him as he reluctantly let his arms slip from her. His nervousness was back but it wasn't as bad as before, thank to the dance they shared.

"So I um don't if you are ready for this. But I um-"

"Planning to propose to me again Puss?"

The tabby went silent when she interrupted him. He looked at her in disbelief before looking at Perrito who was also surprise. "I didn't tell her ok? Dog's honor" the dog made it clear, seeing his friend looking at him.

"Relax. No one told me. I overheard you both the night before" she explained to him casually making the cat groan annoyed. He should've known better. "And before you propose, I have something to you" she told him, pulling out something from her bag. What Puss saw in her white paws made his eyes widen in shock...
