***Mak's POV***
"Baby. Mom's down stairs. Go. She hates waiting." I run towards Grey and shush his words with my lips.
"I love you Daddy." I kiss him quickly and grab my phone.
"Text me." I hear him call out as I run towards the front door.
I'm running late. Because Grey and I were busy.
I skid to a halt in front of the elevator and press the button frantically.
Once I'm finally outside our penthouse, I take a second to breathe.
"Mak honey. You didn't have to run." Amelia gives me a hug and leads me to her SUV. I get in the passengers side and she gets behind the wheel.
"Grey made me late." I huff out.
"Mhmmm. Just Grey. Believable." Amelia giggles. I blush.
"What are we doing first?" I ask. I pull out my planner and start looking over my ideas.
"We have to stop by the venue to get a visual." I nod to her words. Good idea.
We pull up to Central Park. She walks us to the garden where the fountain sits. I smile as I look at it. It's perfect.
"You two can say your vows directly in front of it. Here." Amelia points while walking. She stops where Grey will stand.
I follow and look out over what will be the witnesses.
"Will it be too loud?" I ask. I worry.
"No honey. We are setting up an arch, so that will combat the flow of water." I nod again. She literally thought of everything.
"White chairs?" I ask. I bite my thumb and turn to her for her input.
"My suggestion yes." She smiles and I smile back. I give confirmation that we're on the same page.
"The aisle? Material or grass?" I think about it while she decides.
"Material. Whatever color you prefer." She gives me a choice.
"If I go white that will allow the flower petals to show." I look to her for a yes or no.
"White is fine baby. It's a good idea." I nod again.
"Where are we holding the after party?" I think it's at a hotel but, I keep forgetting.
"The Pierre. It has a gorgeous Dining Room. See." She pulls her phone out and a room for for two princes presents itself.
"Yes. Oh wow." I click through the pictures and find nothing that isn't perfect.
"Next destination?" I'm ready to keep on track. We have a lot to do.
"Cake tasting. Grey likes chocolate so he passed on the tasting." We walk back to the car and I write down the details we already discussed.
She stops off at a bakery that looks older than dirt. It's in downtown. When you walk in, you can taste the confection sugar in the air.
"Right on time. Amelia. I'm so happy to see you." A sweet older lady comes up and kisses both of Amelia's cheeks.
"You must be the Groom. Oh my. So adorable. Come. Come." She carries us off to a kitchen where a slew of fresh cakes lay in wait.
"Any flavor that is a definite no?" She puts on gloves and hands me a piece of cake. Amelia takes one as well.
"Nothing complicated. Classic please. Peanut butter is a no go." I push the fork into my mouth and my eyes roll.
"Carrot Cake. Shit. This is incredible." I quickly shovel a few more bites in my mouth.
"That can be your groom's cake." Amelia marks it on the paper that sits to the side.
"Chocolate for Grey. Let's taste." I warm my hands at the thought.
"I have three levels, sweet. Sweeter and sinful." Mrs. Pamela gives me three bites of cake.
I taste them all and push them to the side.
"Sinful." I reply. It's rich and buttery. It's amazing.
"Cocoa Butter Creme." She smiles and Amelia writes it down after licking her fork.
"So, I have an idea for the main event. Be honest and if you veto it, I completely understand." She hands me a new fork and a plate with three more pieces of cake, all cream colored. Amelia takes her plate. Pamela puts her hands out to stop us from diving in.
"Taste all three then pick. I will tell you which one you chose." I nod and take the first bite. It's really good.
I sip water between that bite and the next. Then repeat with the third.
They are all divine but I'm leaning towards the middle one.
"This one." Amelia points towards the one I liked.
"Okay. What is it?" I look to Pamela for confirmation.
"Bailey's Irish Creme Cake. I can make the frosting whatever color. Typically it is butter creme." Pamela smiles.
"You're hiding something." I poke my fork in her direction.
"I want you to try the last. It's not white." She moves back and unveils two pieces of cake. I immediately want to taste the divine dessert. It's gorgeous.
We take large bites as soon as she hands them over. I hear Amelia moan at the same time I do.
"That's not possible. I think I just orgasmed." I fan my watering eyes.
"That's the one." Amelia makes the choice. I clap my hands and jump up and down.
"Cafe Late it is." We fill out the request and I wave bye as we leave.
"So much cake." I groan.
"Grey missed out." Amelia giggles and I agree.
"Flowers are next." Amelia whips the car into the floral shop parking space. We jump out. This is going to be my favorite part.
We search through the massive retailer. Every flower known to man is available. If it isn't on the floor, it's available for order.
Mr. Parker: Daddy?
Daddy: yes love?
Mr. Parker: what's the wedding budget?
Daddy: go wild!
Mr. Parker: I love you. Have your dick ready when I get home.
Daddy: 🤤🤤🤤
"Grey said go wild Mom! Let's get this party started!" I laugh as Amelia winks at me.
"What colors? Traditionally, fall is all about the reds and oranges." Amelia points out a few flowers in that color range.
"I can't do traditional. Show me something Epic." I follow behind her as she pulls me down the aisles.
"You know what? I just thought about something." I look to Amelia and she raises her brow at me.
"The natural beauty of the park in Autumn should be more than enough color. Why don't we go with subdued shades of cream. The color scheme for us can be at the party. So black Tuxes, Cream everything else. What do you think?" Amelia offers me a sweet smile.
"I think it's going to be gorgeous. You're going to be stellar." Amelia pulls me down to a full row of creams and whites. We get busy picking out flowers. We choose a ton of greenery to make up the color contrast.
"We don't know any kids to be the ring bearer and flower girl. We literally have no friends with kids." I groan when it hits me.
"I already thought of that. So, what do you think of having Gavin and Alex do it? It's super untraditional and then the wedding party is complete with all of your friends." Amelia is a damn genius.
"Oh God. Putting a spotlight on Gavin is like giving Leslie Jordan a video camera." I laugh thinking about our new friend stealing the show.
"I will keep him reigned in if need be." Amelia giggles. She knows very well what I'm talking about.
"So, that leaves the reception. Ready?" I nod and go along with her itinerary.
"This is the Grand Ballroom. Since we are going white flowers, the lights we choose will cascade over the room. This way the flowers change colors all night." Amelia talks while I stare at a current set up. Oh Jesus.
"Sold." I walk thru the Ballroom in adoration. It's fucking stunning.
"You're so easy Mak." Amelia hugs my waist and I lean in to her.
"Is it everything you dreamed of for your son?" I question. This wedding is for everyone. I get Grey forever and that's more than enough.
"You are. This is too. But, you. I couldn't ask for a better choice." Her fingers caress my cheeks. I blink back moisture at her caring words.
"I love you Amelia. Thank you for accepting me. Thank you for allowing me to become so close. You really are the best Mom a man could ask for." It's her turn to tear up. I wipe gently at her cheeks. She's an angel. Certified.
"You ready to meet everyone for lunch?" Amelia walls from the room. I take one last look around. The place is going to be beautiful.
We get to the restaurant and I run into Grey's arms.
"Missed you." I snuggle into his embrace.
"Missed you too love. Did you get everything done?" I nod as I grip onto him. It's been a long day.
"I'm not going to disappear." Grey kisses my lips and pulls me to our tables.
"Today we are going to announce the proper positions of everyone for the wedding." I stand up and announce. I pick Grey's hand up so he can stand with me.
"Grey will be the groom. I guess." I roll my eyes playfully.
"Mak will be left at the altar." Grey chuckles and bops my nose with his pointer finger.
"Mario. You're my best man. You don't get a choice so I'm not asking." I smile at my big brother.
"If I have to." Mario chuckles.
"Mark you know you're my best man. Don't embarrass me too bad." Grey fist bumps Mark.
"Seb you're on my side. Kip on Grey's. I would take you all but, Grey would pout." I giggle when Grey pinches my hip.
"Alex and Gavin. I'm requesting this if you. But, you can say no. Please don't." I turn to our friends and plead with my eyes.
"We're in." Alex laughs.
"What if he wants us to dress up like penguins and dance down the aisle?" Gavin sends his Daddy an incredulous look.
"That's actually pretty good. Mom what do you think?" I wink at Amelia and we bust out laughing.
"No for real. We would like you to be the ring bearer and the flower boy." I offer my case.
"I'm throwing flowers?" Gavin asks.
"Pretty much." I shrug. We can't fancy it up. It is what it is.
"I'm going to be the best flower girl in history." Gavin squeals and I just shake my head.
"Okay Leslie. You know your role." I laugh at Amelia and my inside joke.
"If you just compared me to Leslie Jordan, I am so honored. That man is fire." Gavin smiles even wider.
"Daddy Parker you are going to be in the crowd. I want you in the wedding but, this is your sons big day. I don't want you to miss it. Amelia you know that as well." Grey kisses my forehead.
"Nope." Daddy Parker stands up and crosses his arms.
"Whatever he wants, he's about to get it. I'm not crossing that man." Grey cringes as he speaks the words.
I laugh nervously.
"Amelia and I will walk you down the Aisle. Then we will join the crowd while we watch our sons get married." Martin gives me a grin that melts my soft heart.
"O-Kay." I choke on the offer. I was going to walk alone.
"You okay baby?" Grey leans down and wipes the overflow of tears that decided to overload my eyes.
"Just grateful." I turn and wipe my face on a napkin. I'm too sensitive for this shit.
The invitations are being mailed as we speak. I don't have to stress over that. We have a small army working on the rest of the wedding. We just have to get fitted and get our rings. I have a ring, but Daddy promised that one moves to my right hand and the real ring will go on my left during the ceremony.
"Everyone knows their place. So, save the date." We sit down and order lunch. A lot of chatter goes on about details but, it's all a surprise for Grey so I whisper that every time someone asks a question.
"I can't wait to marry you." Grey kisses me deeply and I hum in satisfaction.
"I can't wait to be Mak Parker." I breathe out after catching a fresh air supply.
"I love you." We both whisper together.
