Chapter 9: "Can you promise me what we have won't change?"
Jin came running out with fresh mangoes as Emily munched on them while furiously typing away at her laptop. "Jagi, maybe you should take a break? It won't be good for you to overwork yourself like this." Emily narrowed her eyes at Jin before pulling him in for a hug. "Oppa I went to sleep at 10 last night and I woke up at 10 this morning. I slept a full 12 hours, I'm fine."
Emily assured him as Jin pecked her cheek. "Alright, alright. But can I stay here with you for a bit before I go to practice?" Jin pleaded with a puppy dog face that amused yet also made Emily want to wrap her arms around him and never let go. "Oppa you never have to ask to do that. Besides you're too adorable, how could I refuse you~? My pink princess~." Emily cooed teasingly as Jin pouted and rested his chin on his hand.
Emily hurriedly typed away, wanting to catch every morsel of her ideas before they escaped from her. Jin looked on in fascination as he gradually rested his head on her lap. "My little one, can you feel your mommy working so hard and passionately?" Jin whispered to Emily's stomach as a bulge began to appear.
Jungkook whom just stepped out of the shower, was welcomed with his wife's tiny figure moving swiftly and carefully as a waft of food immediately came to his nose. "Jagi, are you making breakfast?" He asked tenderly as he gave her a sweet back-hug.
Teresa chuckled as she wriggled out of his grip, playfully. "Oppa, I'm cooking and your hair is dripping on to me." Teresa scolded playfully as Jungkook giggled and ran back to their room and got changed. "Okay, okay."
Teresa felt her cheeks warmed up slightly as she set up the table and placed a kiss on his head. "Aish, Jagi you're always making me shy so easily." Jungkook mumbled as he ran a hand through his hair. Teresa smirked and made her way over to her seat. "Now we're even." She cheered as she began to quickly eat up the food.
"Oh yeah Jagi, The people from the competition sent your award from the fencing contest last month." Jungkook announced excitedly, knowing how much his wife cared about fencing and her career. "No way, really?!" Teresa shouted as she ran over to grab the envelope behind the counter.
"Ah!! Oh my gosh!! I'm so happy!!" Teresa cheered delightfully as Jungkook ran up and enveloped her into an embrace. "I'm so proud of you, Jagi." He mumbled as he buried his face into her hair.
Namjoon pulled Sheri with him to the beach whilst blindfolding her as he managed to trip over every stone in sight. "Ah Namjoon oppa!! Be careful!" Sheri scolded as Namjoon smiled sheepishly and dragged her faster to his little surprise.
Sheri whom was skeptical during the whole trip, she loved Namjoon with all her heart but at the same time of the life of being married to an idol. His fans certainly won't spare her but wouldn't it be worth it if she could endure his fans then they could live a life happily together.
Sheri eventually relaxed as Namjoon smiled and immediately wrapped his arms around her. "Is this your new hobby or something to cuddle while I'm blindfolded?" Sheri joked as she giggled in happiness. Namjoon scoffed and kissed her cheek before he slipped off the blindfold for her.
"Namjoon oppa, you did all this?" Sheri asked in awe as she gazed at the extravagant and aesthetically pleasing array of flowers and food along with the sun shining down on the glimmering ocean. "I love it." Sheri muttered before she jumped onto him and gingerly pressed her lips against his.
"I love you, Jagi." Namjoon answered as Sheri giggled at his corny words before pulling him into another kiss. "Come on, let's eat." Sheri cooed excitedly as Namjoon laughed. 'God I can't stop imagining a life with her. How beautiful would everything be.' Namjoon thought in a daze as he couldn't stop smiling at her.
Sofia and J-hope were practicing together alone as J-hope suddenly embraced her and sighed contentedly. "Hobi~." Sofia cooed as J-hope smiled brightly, he found it extremely endearing with the nickname she gave him. "Yeah Lia~?" Sofia sighed before she cupped his face.
"Can you promise me you won't hate me no matter what happens?" Sofia pleaded with her eyes slowly watering as J-hope quickly kissed her forehead. "Of course, I could never bring myself to hate you. I just love you too much to be able to do so."
J-hope's eyebrows furrowed as he pulled her against him once again as he stroked her hair. Sofia's resolve to stay strong slowly cracked bit by bit as she weakly hugged him back.
"Can you tell me what's going on?" J-hope asked slowly as he noticed how tightly Sofia's hands clung to his shirt as if that was the last they'd ever be in each others' arms. Sofia hurriedly shook her head as she felt his arms slowly dropping from around her. "It's nothing. I was just scared you would be upset because of the little time we have together."
Sofia hastily explained as she slyly swiped her eyes dry. Memory of her conversation with Bang PD suddenly came to her mind as she gingerly slipped out of his grip.
~Flashback~
Sofia walked in with a heavy and anxious heart as she quietly closed the door behind her before approaching the angry and heaving man in front of her. "Bang PD-nim." Sofia greeted softly with a bow as he glared at her. She knew why he had called her in.
"Do you realize what your relationship with J-hope caused?!" He roared as Sofia cowered in fear and sadness for she had a slight idea of what he was bound to suggest. "Y-yes Sir." Sofia stuttered in fear as he slammed on the table.
"I-I'm sorry Sir. I'm so sorry." Sofia apologized profusely as he growled under his breath. "All because of you guys' stupid decision of going public, now BTS have lost their popularity!!" Sofia chewed on her lower lip as she kept her head down.
She knew that very decision of going public was going to hurt all of them someday. 'That's why Jin was suspended from events.' Sofia thought in astonishment as she felt tears welled up. "I'll give you guys one more chance. YOU must break up with J-hope and I'll let you debut within a month's time. You have the choice to leave him now and I can guarantee a definite time that you will debut or spend two weeks with him for the last time and I'll decide when to let you debut. Could be years even, but it's up to you."
He threatened and tried to hide it behind his false caring act as if he really worried about her. "I'm just looking out for you Sofia. You're like a daughter to me, you have no idea what BTS's fans are capable of. It'd be so easy for them to find your address and hurt your family members." He said with an eerily calm voice as Sofia clenched her fists in anger. There was no way her address could be leaked except for him.
~Flashback Ended~
Natalie was singing along to a song as Joanna danced around along to the beat as Jimin and Taehyung entered, clapping their hands enthusiastically. "Whoo!! You guys are soo good!!" Jimin cheered as he ran over to Natalie. Natalie smiled and hugged him as they rested against the mirror together. "Can you help me reach that high note you sang in I Need You?" Natalie asked excitedly as she rested her head on his shoulder.
Jimin blushed and fought his smile as he nodded. "Yeah." Jimin answered as Natalie cheered and pulled him with her. Jimin awkwardly and shyly stood behind Natalie and rested his hands against her stomach to correct her posture and breathing as Natalie blushed heavily.
Her bias was so close to her and held her against him as she nearly exploded in shyness and happiness. "Is my posture correct now?" Natalie asked quietly and peacefully as Jimin smiled and nodded. "Yeah, now try singing it now." Natalie began and was successful as she cheered and quickly jumped into his arms.
Joanna and Taehyung were practicing the dance for "Not Today" as Taehyung suddenly sneaked behind her and tickled her as Joanna screamed which was mixed with laughter. She hunted Taehyung down and got revenge until Taehyung suddenly grabbed her hands and his expression turned earnest.
Joanna became shy and quiet as she looked into his eyes, she wasn't so good at romance so she didn't know what to do. However she didn't need to do anything, all Taehyung wanted was for her to listen. "Joanna I really like you." Taehyung confessed as Joanna couldn't think as she pulled her hands back and ran out the door. "No no he doesn't like me. It's impossible." Joanna muttered as she hopped into her car and drove home.
Taehyung's face fell at Joanna's reaction as he silently walked home. "What was I thinking? Of course, she doesn't like me." He muttered as he fell into bed and stared at the ceiling, reflecting about where he could have possibly gone wrong.
The girls had dragged Sheri with them to try on the wedding dresses as she whined. She didn't want to mess things up with Namjoon with marriage. She doesn't know anything about marriage, she's never been married. 'But then again, even if I mess up..I'm glad I messed it up with him.' Sheri thought as she gazed around the wedding store.
"Hey." Sheri nudged the seemingly absent-minded Joanna as Joanna answered her. "What?" "I heard Tae confessed to you?" Sheri said hesitantly as she remembered how crestfallen Taehyung looked when he came back from practice.
"He didn't mean it. He didn't mean it." Joanna muttered as Sheri sighed. "And how would you know that? Do you know how sad he was when he came back from practice? He really likes you." Sheri said exasperatedly as she shook Joanna. "Okay, okay. I'll try to talk to him." Joanna conceded as Sheri smiled.
Emily was with Sofia as due to her intuitive nature, she was immediately able to notice Sofia's sadness as she wrapped an arm around Sofia's shoulder. "Hey, are you okay?" Emily asked softly as Sofia nodded hastily. "I'm fine."
Sheri sighed at the gloominess all around her when her wedding was coming up. "It's okay Sheri. Your wedding would be great! It would even cheer up everyone." Teresa assured as Sheri nodded.
~Few weeks later~
Sheri was in her room in her wedding dress as she giggled at what the others were making Namjoon do. "Sing Jimin oppa's high note in I Need You." Natalie demanded as the others bursted into laughter. Singing in general already wasn't his forte and now he was demanded to perform a high note?? Namjoon did it anyway however right in the middle, his voice cracked which made everyone's laugh even heartier as Namjoon groaned.
Sheri was walked down the aisle to Namjoon as he stared in awe of his future wife. "Jagi, you look beautiful." Namjoon muttered as Sheri smiled shyly. 'Oh my God, this is it. I'm officially his and vice versa.' Sheri thought as they read their vows and slipped their ring on.
"You may kiss the bride." The pastor said as Namjoon quickly lifted up the veil and took Sheri's face into his hands and planted a passionate kiss on her lips. Sheri smiled against his lips and kissed back as she wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Taehyung stared at Joanna from afar with his broken heart as Joanna hadn't dared to sneak a glance at him. She would feel stupid and guilty for rejecting him all over again.
However as Sheri was about to throw the bouquet, Sofia lurched forward from the others pushing her while Taehyung was able to grab Joanna.
"Taehyung?" Joanna said quietly as she took notice of his puffy eyes and eyebags, then gingerly reached out to cup his face. "You really like me?" Joanna asked quietly as Taehyung nodded. "There's only you for me." Taehyung muttered before the two found themselves kissing each other.
Sofia caught the bouquet as she tried to hide her sad face and shoved the bouquet into Natalie and Emily's hands as she ran off. Emily called out to her and wanted to give chase, however Natalie and Jin immediately stopped her. "Don't, it's too dangerous. I'll go." Natalie said as she ran up to Sofia.
J-hope felt his heart painfully cracked bit by bit as he stared at her figure running off into the distance. 'I thought she wanted us to be happy together.' J-hope thought, lost and hurt as he stared at the ground.
