Chapter 20: Dilemma

Emily's phone rang with Jin's voice filling the room. The ringtone was of him singing I Need You to her during their first date. "...Hello?" She answered groggily while vigorously rubbing her eyes. Chae Young climbed into her arms with a bright smile as Emily pecked her head. "Today?...Uh what time?...Ah, I see...Thank you." Emily answered, a little miffed at the sudden change in her schedule.

"Oppa! I have the book signing today! Can you bring Chae Young with you?" Emily requested as Jin ran to the room with a pan and a plate in his hands. "Okay. Good luck, Jagi!" Jin cheered for her as she smiled gratefully.

'He's the best.' Emily remarked in her mind as she gently scoop up Chae Young in her arms to get her ready. "Chae Young, come on..Wake up, sweetie~." Emily cooed as Chae Young whined softly, snuggling further into her mom's shoulder. Emily's heart swelled with emotion, seeing her daughter's peaceful sleeping state and how clingy she was to her. "You're growing up so fast." She muttered softly.

Emily bade Jin goodbye shortly before she had to board her newly assigned agent's car to get to the book signing. "Was that your husband?" She asked casually while Emily focused eagerly on fixing her hair, making herself look presentable. "Yeah, we've been married for a few years now." Emily answered, while the agent's face turned grim.

"What about it?" Emily asked suspiciously, after noticing how her agent's face had evidently darkened. "I thought you were single."Her agent said, almost accusingly. "I never said I was single, and what's the problem if I'm married?" Emily asked, feeling annoyance flare up in her chest.

"Your husband and kids will just distract you from your career." "Oh my god, this again?" Emily muttered irritatedly, while her agent bristles at her tone. "What do you mean again?" "Him and my daughter will not hinder my career in any way. If I have to choose between them or writing....I'll pick them!" Emily's remark had made her evidently flustered, but quickly brought her face back to neutral.

"That's how you want to do this?" She asked threateningly while Emily flicked up her eyebrows. "Yes! That's how I want to do this! I have no need to be working with a kind of person like you." Emily spat as she bit her lip and allowed Emily to leave.

'Of course, he's married to her..' She thought bitterly, feeling a sort of unfairness that Emily was married to such a perfect man like Jin. She couldn't hide her jealousy and anger. Right at that time, her editor called her. "Hello?" "Were you able to get Emily to come to the book signing? This is really important!" He yelled in the phone as she winced and hung up on him.

"Dammit!" She cursed as she stepped out of the grey BMW convertible to chase after Emily. "Emily!" She called out, panting and sweaty while Emily rolled her eyes. "What do you want?" Emily asked, her tone is cold and bored. " You need to come to the book signing." "Oh? You still want me even though I'm married and I have a daughter?" Emily asked mockingly as the agent Alice glared at her.

"Look, I'm sorry, okay?" Alice conceded as Emily reluctantly nodded. Jin who poked his head out, was confused as to why his wife suddenly came back. "Jagi, did you forget something?" Jin questioned innocently as he stepped out to Emily and tucked an arm around her waist.

A smile naturally adorned her face as she leaned against him for a few seconds before playfully shooing him back in. "Get in, get in. I need to go to the book signing." Jin chuckled  before jogging back into the house.

"Oh! I forgot to tell you, I manage your schedule and so you need to do as I say. Family or Writing?" Alice said threateningly with a sly smirk while Emily's face fell. "I hate you." Emily mumbled before silently boarding the car. "I love you too."

Jungkook was at practice with the boys when a few exo members happened to pop by and visit. "Hyung!" Jungkook called out as he saw Sehun. The latter smiled and briefly hugged the younger male. "Aye Jungkook!" They smiled until Teresa unknowingly stepped in with bags full of food and accidentally knocked into Sehun.

"Oh my gosh, I'm sorry!" Teresa apologized profusely while Sehun smirked up at her. His smirk caused heat to rise up in her cheeks as he chuckled and pulled himself up with her hand. "It's fine, beautiful." Jungkook's muscles inevitably tensed up, after hearing how Sehun had addressed Teresa. His wife: Teresa! 'Calm down, Jungkook. You can't act on impulse like this.'  He gave himself a pep talk before walking over to the two and forcing it to look casual.

"That's how you do it, sweetheart." Sehun said as Teresa blushed heavily with a shy smile while Jungkook's anger was flared up even more. "What the f-" Jungkook mumbled and wrapped his arms around Teresa from behind, making it as obvious as he can that Teresa was his love, his wife, and his significant other. "Jagi~." Jungkook cooed before placing a kiss on her cheek.

Sehun's face was evidently shocked but he covered it up as he stood up, nearly towering over the two. "Is she your girlfriend?" Sehun asked, placing a hurt expression on his face, making Teresa feel slightly guilty. "I'm his wife actually." She squeaked as Jungkook beamed in pride while holding Teresa close.

Sehun nodded silently, before smiling at the pair and walked off. "You guys make a great couple." Teresa nodded softly, but at the same time she couldn't fight her smile. Jungkook had gotten jealous over her, although it was a little childish, she still loved it.

"Hmph Jagi~!! Why'd you let him call you beautiful, sweetheart, etc?" Jungkook whined as she chuckled and ran her hand through his hair. "Haha, you got jealous, didn't you?" She teased as he groaned and buried his face in the crook of her neck. "How could I not be jealous when other men are flirting with my wife that I love so dearly?" Jungkook answered as he puckered his lips while in the shape of a pout.

Teresa smiled and quickly pecked his lips before turning away. "I love you, Jungkook oppa." She cooed as he enveloped her into a hug, cuddling her against his chest. "I love you too. I love you soo much, it drives me crazy at the fact that other guys might see how amazing you are and steal you away from me." He said with a chuckle, despite his joking manner, he certainly couldn't let Sehun get away with flirting with his wife.

Namjoon was trying to get their new choreography down as he stared at Sheri's picture on his phone. She had left Korea for a competition and he hadn't realized how much he missed her until that moment. 'Jagi, I miss you~!!' He whined in his mind as he sighed and went back to practicing. Yoongi noticed how hard Namjoon was practicing and jogged over.

Wanting to make sure that Namjoon didn't bump into the furnitures or hurt himself. "Bro, you alright?" Namjoon panted and nodded. "Yeah, I'm just missing Sheri. I guess I'm too dependent on her presence." Namjoon admitted shyly as he scratched at the back of his neck while Yoongi chuckled at his 'cheesy' words.

"You're so cheesy." Yoongi teased as Namjoon chuckled and fired back. "And you're such a stolid person, I seriously can't come up with one reason why Mella married you." Namjoon bent his arm in victory as Yoongi scoffed in disbelief. "You're a dead man, Kim Namjoon." Yoongi bellowed as he chased Namjoon, whom was busy laughing and running at the same time. "Hyung! I'm sorry!"

Mella was with Sofia and Natalie as they lounged around, too busy laughing at what happened when J-hope and Sofia went to visit her brother. "I still can't believe he thought Wonho was J-hope." Mella said with a strained voice as she wiped a tear at her eyes from laughter.

"You have no idea how embarrassed he was when he saw J-hope and Wonho at the same time." Sofia said while clutching her stomach with laughter. Natalie sipped on her frappe from Starbucks as she laughed heartily. "Ah, did you guys hear about what happened with Joanna and Danny?" Natalie said as Sofia and Mella's eyes widened. "Danny's back? But wait, Taehyung has no idea of his existence." Sofia said as Mella nodded grimly.

"Well, he's back and he made a huge scene last time when he came up to Joanna, drunk and on the verge of crying. And Taehyung's reaction...Angry is an understatement. He grabbed Danny and dropped him onto the curb." Natalie explained as Sofia and Mella winced.

"Wow, kinda rare to see Taehyung act like that." Mella said as they sighed and hoped for the best with the two.

J-hope was dancing alongside Taehyung who was heaving as he roughly performed the dance steps. "Woah woah, calm down!" J-hope yelled out as he grabbed Taehyung aside. "What happened? You could have gotten hurt." J-hope chided gently as Taehyung panted and nodded. "Sorry." He mumbled off-handedly and proceeded to walk away when J-hope pulled him back.

"I'm not saying that just for you to apologize. What the hell is going on? You're never like this!" Taehyung sighed and slumped against the wall. "I'm scared that Joanna still loves that douchebag ex-boyfriend of hers...Hyung, I don't want to lose her." Taehyung finally confessed as tears formed in his eyes. He quickly swiped at those that already fell.

Jin having accidentally eavesdropped on their conversation, dropped to the ground and gathered Taehyung into a hug as J-hope broke out of the trance and joined in on the hug. "Tae, you can't think like that. Joanna loves you!" J-hope said exasperatedly while Taehyung's shield was broken down as he cried in their arms.

His tears represented how he felt guilty yet angry at the same time. How could she not mention that she once had such a bad relationship and even when her ex is back, she still doesn't say anything? Did she still love her ex? Was Taehyung just a rebound?

Joanna's feet seemed to move on their own accord despite how hard she protested with herself to not go find Danny. Her annoyingly weak and emotional heart had made her feel bad and ache seeing the man she once loved being dumped onto the curb. While her brain shouted that he deserved it. 'He cheated on you! It was already gracious of you that you didn't snap at him and release strings of curses out of your mouth.'

"You stupid idiot." Joanna cursed and gestured at her heart. "Why can't you just let me live in peace?!" She whispered harshly at her heart. "I'm going insane, I'm talking to my heart as if it could possibly answer me." She mumbled to herself as she released a breath of relief when her eyes found Danny scrambling to get up but clutched his head in pain.

"Why did you have to come back?" Joanna mumbled bitterly as she trudged over to him. "Joanna!" Danny called out in happiness as he held her tightly against him. Joanna winced at the odor of his breath and the booze as she pushed him back. "Let go of me!" Joanna snapped, despite her heart was beating erratically out of relief.

She hated that feeling. 'You love Taehyung now! Not Danny, not the man that said he loved you  and turned right around to cheat on you with his so-called best friend.' Joanna screamed in her mind as tears seemed to build up at the memory.

"Why couldn't you let me live my life in peace? You left with that tramp! So why did you come back?" Joanna yelled with watery eyes as Danny found himself weak at the knees, seeing Joanna on the verge of crying. 'I made her cry once and I'm making her cry again.'
