Hermione was alone in the libary when she heard a commotion. Peering through books she saw Ginny and Draco arguing. Intrested, Hermione listened intently, going slithly closer.

"WHAT DO YOU THINK I AM, AN HOUSE ELF?." Draco shouted. Ginny closed her book in anger and began to shout as well,

"HOUSE ELF ARE AS GOOD AS HUMANS!."
"That's not true." mumbled Kreacher, but Draco and Ginny ignored him and Hermione was shocked, what were they talking about in which they had house elfs.

"Oh now you're sounding like Granger." taunted Draco
"Well it turns out she had been my best friend." replied Ginny angrily, but regretted at once.
"Had been?" Now Hermione went away, she didn't want to hear Ginny talking about her and
Harry, but when she heard laughter, she couldn't help peek through just slightly.
"Where?" Malfoy asked as Ginny got up and began to move to the door.
"To my common room. Do you wanna know the password? It is ferret." With that Ginny went out of the library, but the laughter.
"Ohhh!" said a voice. Malfoy and Hermione(though she remained hidden) turned to see three house elves watching. Laughter emanates from one of them. Poor Winkie was barely able to breathe. As she got up, wiping tears from her eyes. Dobby was helping her up while Kreacher was the one who awed.
"What are you all staring at?" Draco asked and did a dramatic exit himself."                                               "Binkie needed that." said Binkie

Hermione revealed herself and she was smiling. Binkie had laughed and that was the best thing which anyone could imagine. Anyone who was Hermione Jean Granger that is.

"Wow, I can't belive you laghed Binkie." said Hermione

"Dobby can't belive too Harry Potter's frined."

"Freind?"

"Yes, Harry Potter's-"

"Please don't complet that Dobby, I better be going. See the three of you later."

and with that Hermione went out of the libary(but not as dramatic as Draco and Ginny)

Friend, Hermione though, Friend, he must have forgotten, how mature.

When Hermione reached the commen room, she found Ginny standing. Ginny asked Hermione the password and she just shrugged.

"Ferret." said Ginny after a while and the portraite door swung open and the fat lady begain to sing. Both the girs went inside. After talking a while, Hermione asked if she wanted to be friends. Ginny said yes. After that both the girls begain talking about other things.

"You know Slughorn is having a chrismas party." said Hermione

"Oh, are you going."

"If Harry asks me, but I doubt he knows about it, he never comes to the party, because of Ron. He says he can't abandon his best mate."

"Wow, that's amazing, he really cares about Ron."

Harry yawned closing his potions notebook. He was exhusted, but he smieled as Hermione came to the commen room.

"You're up early, arn't you." said Harry with a smile. Hermione rolled her eyes and kissed his cheack, sitting in an armchair. Harry knew instantly that something was wrong.

"Is everything alright."

"Yeah, I met Dobby today, he called me a friend of yours."

"I'm sorry about that, I guess I forgot."

"Guess?"

"Hermione, no matter what anyone says, I lo-"

But Harry's words were cut off by running and Ginny came and poured some water in a glass and drank it. She was panting a lot. She then sat down on an armchair. 

"Are you alright?" Harry asked

"Yeah, Potter, I'm fine." Ginny mumbled. Harry and Hermione shared looks, but didn't say anything. After a while Ginny's breathing slowed down to a normal pace.

"Did you get a nightmare?" Hermione asked

"Not the time." said Ginny, but more to herself than Hermione. Hermione took Harry's hand and squeezed it gently.

"We better go to bed." Harry whispered quietly. Despite not talking to Ginny for a while he could get personal space and how it was like with Voldemort unlike Ron or Hermione.

Hermione nodded her head and both of them went up different stairways to their dormitory. Harry hoped that things were alright with Hermione. Gosh, I hope everything will be ok because I don't think I can live without her. He thought
