Chapter Nine
Chapter Nine - "Your Father Has Not Lost His Bad Boy Side, I Can Tell You That."
___
Avery's P.O.V
"I think River should start going to pre school." My mom says and my father shakes her head.
"No, she doesn't need too. She is already smart enough and if she goes into one of those, she is just going to get dumber because those people that run the place act like they are looking after and teaching new born babies but if they opened their eyes, they can see that they are actually looking after toddlers that can already somehow look after themselves." My father shakes his head and I roll my eyes.
"Did I go 'dumber' when I went to pre school, dad?" I ask, my eyebrow raised slightly. My father turns to me and shrugs.
"If you count the fact that you didn't listen to me about-"
"Don't start, honey." My mother cuts in and I wave her off.
"No, no, I want to hear this." I say and my father looks at me questioningly. I nod and he nods, crossing his arms over his chest.
"As I was going to say, you didn't listen to me about Logan and you didn't listen to me about the baby thing." My father says and I roll my eyes.
"And you think that a kid that River is going to meet is going to change her life completely and make her follow the same steps as me?" I ask and my father smirks.
"Logan appeared in your life and guess what happened there?" My father says and I shrug.
"Well I guess I can say the same for you, dad. When you met mom, you lost your 'bad boy' side." I say, a small grin on his lips and my father raises his eyebrow. I hear my mom chuckle.
"Oh honey, your father has not lost his bad boy side, I can tell you that." My mom intervenes and I shake my head, completely disgusted. My mom laughs and shakes her head, waving me off.
"I didn't mean it like that, Avery." My mom says and I raise an eyebrow, crossing my arms over my chest.
"What did you mean then? You just say that and you expect me to think something else than you two having-"
"Yes, Avery. I expect you to think something else other than your father and I's sex life." My mom cuts me off and I gag, completely shocked and disgusted that my mom even decided to explain it that far.
I hear my father chuckle and he walks over to me and grabs my arm. "Come with me." My father says and I don't say anything, I just follow him. I notice my mom follow behind us and I look at her with a confused frown and my mom just grins at me.
Weird.
"You think I've lost my bad boy touch, aye?" My father asks as we stand outside in front of the garage door. I nod and cross my arms over my chest.
"Thats what I said or are you deaf?" I tease and my father points a finger at me.
"I may be old but I'm not deaf." My father says and I roll my eyes. My father fishes out his keys and presses a button on the little oval shaped remote and I watch as the garage door goes up.
When it's all the way up, I notice that there is a motorcycle in there and my father walks towards it. I roll my eyes, preparing for my small act.
"Oh my god, a motorcycle! Oh, this so proves that you haven't lost your bad side at all, dad!" I say sarcastically and my father laughs, shaking his head. He gets on and starts the motorcycle, letting us hear the loud roar that it has to offer. I tilt my head from side to side and look at my mom.
"I won't be suprised if he falls off." I say and my mother chuckles but rolls her eyes. I watch as my father reverses out of the garage and is now on the road.
"Hop on!" My father screams and I frown, pointing to my mom and I.
"Me?" I ask and my mom pushes me towards the bike. I smile and skip towards the motorcycle.
"If I die because you try to do some stunt, I'm going to haunt you." I say and my father hands me a helmet.
"You won't die." My father says and I out the helmet on.
"Better not because I have a daughter to come back home to." I say and my father laughs. He grabs my hands and wraps them around his waist and I hold my hands together, letting my hair get tangled in the wind as we speed away from the house.
"What do you say we jump a police car?" My father asks over the loud noise of the motorcycle and my eyes go wide.
"Don't you dare!" I scream and my father turns a corner and straight away, I see a small ramp and a police car in front of it.
What is even worse though is the fact that the police car is in front of a police station and there are two officers standing outside eating donuts.
What do you think the chance of survival is if I jump off the motorcycle right now?
I watch as my father speeds up, going closer to the side of the road where the ramp is and I close my eyes as I feel the bike go up the ramp.
"Hey!" I hear one of the officers shout and I open my eyes to see that we are currently in the air, jumping over the police car.
The sudden urge to yell out to the cops 'I have been kidnapped' crosses my mind and I let out a scream when we land on the road again with a bump. My father laughs while I am still screaming. Not because of the fact that we just jumped a police car, it's the fact that there is a car driving towards us and my father seems to be driving directly towards it.
"Dad!" I scream and my father does a sharp turn to avoid the car and as I look down at the ground next to me, a part of me wants to stretch my arm out and touch it since we are so close to the floor but I resist the thought.
"Oh wasn't that fun." My father laughs and my eyes go wide in shock.
"I nearly died and your calling that fun?" I ask and my father looks behind me for a quick second, smiling at me before looking back at the road.
"I don't know why your acting like this. You did go on a motorcycle with Logan all the time." My father explains and I gap at him.
"Thats because we didn't do stupid stuff and jump over cars and nearly ride into a car!" I shout and my father laughs once again.
"Your saying you don't trust me?" My father asks and I don't answer that. Inside my head, I am currently screaming 'my father is a phsyco' and 'I'm going to die' because honestly, those two thoughts are exactly what I'm thinking right now.
"Ugh, great memories." My father says and I frown in confusion.
"What?" I ask and my father points out to the long road ahead of us.
"I used to do wheelies here all the time..." My father says and I feel my heart race.
"Don't do that. Please, don't do that." I say and my father pats my thigh.
"Okay." My father says and he immediately pulls the handlebars up and I feel myself clinging onto my father as tight as I can when I feel myself being forced down to the ground by the motorcycle.
"Spare my life!" I scream and my father laughs and puts the bike back on its two wheels. I catch my breath and rest my head against my father's back.
"Okay you haven't lost your bad boy side." I mumble and my father does a u-turn and sends me a smile.
"I'm glad you said that. Now, how fast do you think we can get back home? Three minutes? Maybe one and a half?" My father suggests and I shake my head.
"Ten minutes minimum." I say and my father laughs.
Wow, he seems to be laughing a lot today.
"Let's try two minutes maximum." My father says as he starts to speed towards the direction of our house.
Exactly two minutes later, I find myself getting off the bike and kissing the ground like the wierd person I am.
"Oh my god, I'm alive." I say, laying down on the floor. I notice my mom walk up to me with a smile.
"So, what did you two do?" My mom asks and I point over to my father.
"Go ask him. He will tell you every single detail of the last twenty minutes." I mumble and my mom laughs as she makes her way over to my father. I get up from the ground and watch as my father takes off his helmet.
"I would do that again but I feel like my stomach is killing me from how tight our daughter was grabbing onto me." My father says and I glare at him when he sends me a small grin.
"Well maybe if you decided not to do what you did, your stomach wouldn't be hurting." I say and my father smiles at me.
"Admit it, Avery. You had fun." My father says and I shake my head.
"I would rather eat kiwi fruit than admit that." I say and my father raises his eyebrow.
"Your allergic though?" My father says and I nod, walking towards the door.
"Thats the point." I say before entering the house where I find River walking down the stairs, rubbing her eyes. I smile and walk over to her.
"You slept forever." I say and River yawns.
"I would've slept longer but Uncle Joshua woke up me saying that there is strawberry icecream for me on the table." River says and I narrow my eyes at Joshua who is making his way down the stairs.
"What kind of uncle do you think you are?" I ask Joshua and he pats my head.
"A very good one." Joshua says and he starts to walk to the door. I narrow my eyes and put River down on the ground and quickly walk over to Joshua and grab him by his shirt.
"Get your ass in the kitchen and dish River up a bowl of strawberry icecream since your such a good uncle." I say and Joshua groans and makes his way to the kitchen.
I walk to River who is flashing me a tired smile. "I love you, mommy." River says and I grab her hand and pick her up, sitting her on the stool.
"I love you too, baby."

Hello people, what do you think of this chapter? Nothing really happens but I guess I just wanted a father and daughter moment so yeah. Sorry if you wanted another scene with Logan and Avery... that will be happening in the next chapter though.
