Chapter Fifteen
Chapter Fifteen - "You And Your Wife Going On Your Honeymoon?"
___
Avery's P.O.V
After watching a range of different movies with Ryan, laughing about our past relationships and talking about life, it was time for Ryan, Julia and his little sister Casey to go home.
I have to admit, after the few hours I spent with Ryan, I found him quite interesting. I don't know but something about him made me feel like he is so much like me.
Alone and confused.
Ryan had talked about how his father left his mom because of how he was secretly cheating on some girl who worked with him and when he got her pregnant, he left Julia while she was pregnant with Casey. He talked about his past relationships were not special because all the girls that he dated were only looking for sex even though it was only a few days into the relationship.
I found it strange how he opened up to me at first even though i didnt ask him anything but I pushed away the thought.
Ryan: You still awake?
Oh yeah, we also exchanged numbers.
Me: Yeah, whats up?
Ryan: The ceiling.
I find myself rolling my eyes at this.
Ryan: Nah jokes but can I ask a question?
Me: Yeah sure.
Ryan: Why is your ex standing out the front of your house?
I immediately feel my heart quicken at the mention of Logan. Was Ryan lying? I mean, from the time I first met him, which was a few hours ago, he is quite the joker. I lick my dry lips and get out of my bed and walk to my window.
Just as I look out the window, I feel my phone vibrate and I immediately pick it up, expecting a message from Ryan saying that he is joking but of course, it just has to be Logan.
Logan: Meet me outside now.
Me: No I'm fine.
Logan: Don't play games with me, I'm not in the mood. Get outside now.
I feel shivers go down my back as I read Logan's message. He is clearly pissed at something and right now, even though I didn't feel like seeing him, I found myself climbing out my bedroom window.
One minute I feel like a good girl locking my bedroom door because Logan was inside my room but now I feel like a bad girl because I'm sneaking out of my bedroom window to see Logan.
Wierd.
When I feel my feet touch the ground, I can't help but look down at my attire. God, I just had to jump out of my window in this. I am wearing my black singlet and pick pajama shorts that were in fact really short. I'm lucky that they at least cover what needs to be covered.
I walk across the short, wet grass and make my way over to Logan's bike which is parked on the other side of the road. I notice that it is pitch black but thanks to the street lights and the moon that were giving me some sort of light, I didn't trip over any rocks or stones as I made my way to Logan.
"Hello sunshine." Logan says, looking down at my clothes and I raise his chin up so that he is looking at my face.
"My eyes are up here. What do you want?" I ask and Logan pats the seat on his bike.
"I need you to come with me to somewhere." Logan says and I frown at him.
"You do realise it's two in the morning and I'm in shorts and a singlet, right?" I ask and Logan rolls his eyes.
"We are only going to mine so chill. Now get on." Logan orders and I find myself getting on the bike and putting on the helmet.
As much as I wanted to attack him with questions, I couldn't find myself to do so. To be honest, I was a little happy that I was near him but I wasn't going to tell him that.
I have to keep my guard up.

"What am I doing here, Logan?" I ask as I enter Sarah's place. The memories from two days ago strike my mind but I shake my head, trying to get rid of them.
"I need your help." Logan says as I follow him upstairs to his room. We walk in and Logan closes the door behind him, locking it.
"With?" I ask, turning to Logan and he turns on the lamp on so there is a little more light. Logan let's out a sigh and sits on his bed. He pats the spot between his legs and I sigh, crawling over to him and leaning my back against his chest. Logan's arms wrap around my waist and draws me closer to him if that is even possible.
"If I asked you if you could look after Drew for a few days, would you?" Logan asks and I shrug.
"Depends. You and your wife going on your honeymoon?" I ask and Logan strokes my hair, chuckling.
"No, Avery. I told you that is never going to happen." Logan says and I nod, rolling my eyes.
"Whatever. Why do you want me to look after Drew then?" I ask and Logan rests his chin on my head, sighing.
"I need to sort out a few things."
"Oh so-"
"If you say one more thing about Katie and I, I will not hesitate to tickle you." Logan cuts me off and I sigh, deciding to zip my mouth shut.
"So, would you?" Logan asks and I shrug.
"Like I said before, it depends." I say and get out Logan's grip and turn to face him, resting my knees on the bed as I sit in between Logan's legs.
For all you dirty minded people out there, keep your comments to yourself.
"On what?" Logan asks and I shrug again.
"I don't know." I say and Logan grins, leaning closer to my face.
"I think I have an idea." Logan says and before his lips connect with mine like I suspected, I block his lips with my hand.
"Don't you even dare. I'm still angry at you." I say and Logan sighs, resting his head on the headboard.
"Look, I know what I did was wrong and I should've stuck by your side-"
"Well I guess you didn't realise that quick enough." I say and Logan nods.
"I know that, Avery." Logan says and I roll my eyes. Before I could say a word, Logan places his finger on my lips, stopping me from talking.
"Just tell me that you'll look after Drew for a few days." Logan says and I raise my eyebrow at him.
"Katie is the mother. Why can't she look after him?" I ask and Logan sighs, running a hand down his face.
"She's coming with me to sort everything out." Logan says and before I can make a remark about the two, Logan gives a look which basically says 'don't you dare'. I sigh and shrug.
"I guess I can." I say and a smile appears on his face as he pulls me into a hug.
"Thank you." Logan says and I hug him back but only for a quick second before letting go of him.
"When is this all happening?" I ask Logan and he thinks for a second before replying, "Three days from now."
"Okay." I say and get off the bed. Logan frowns at me in confusion and I raise an eyebrow.
"What? Did you expect me to stay and sleep in the same bed as you? No way, Logan." I say and Logan sighs.
"Please?" Logan begs and I shake my head.
"No."
"Come on-"
"No." I say, glaring at Logan. Logan sighs and runs a hand through his hair.
"Unless..." I mumble and Logan looks up at me, a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. I grin and place my hand on my hip.
"Unless what?" Logan asks and I smile at him.
"What icecream do you have? Oh and you better have some good movies."
