News and Shock

I awoke in a room so bright, I had to close my eyes as soon as I opened them. Someone must have noticed me awake because they said,"Well, well, well, if it isn't my favorite Titan." I could practically hear the smirk in the man's voice. I was finally able to open my eyes and saw Apollo. "Titan?" I croaked out. "Ah, yes. And a little bit of Primordial if my tests are correct, which they are."

To say I was shocked was an understatement. But as I concentrated I could see what he meant. I could tell exactly what it was, I could feel the earth slowly turning, I could sense people planning for possible wars and who with, and I felt like  I could control anything destructive.

"Earth to Percy! You there cuz?" Apollo said, waving his hand in front of my face. I just nodded. "Zeus said to bring you to the council when you woke up, you've been asleep for a week. Yesterday was the reward ceremony. But I guess yours is today." Without another word he grabbed my arm and flashed out.

------------------------

I stood in front of the council, waiting for them to start talking. Right now they just wearily stared at me. Finally, after three minutes forty-two seconds and ninety-three milliseconds, Zeus thundered,"Percy Jackson, we have all decided that for your minor con-" he was interrupted by a loud cough coming from my dad. Zeus rolled his eyes. "For your major contribution in defeating Gaea that you become the major god of heroes while the rest of the five are minor gods of heroes."

Suddenly the room became dimmer and there was a bright flash. There stood The Fates. "Percy Jackson shall not become a god for he is already immortal!" all three sisters declared in unison. "All hail Percy Jackson, Primordial of Time, Destruction, Earth, and Warcraft!"  I was in shock cause even I didn't know.

Then, before anyone could react, Zeus stood up and threw his master bolt at me. Time seemed to slow down to almost a stop. I looked around to find the shadows moving towards Zeus and my father in midair, lunging for the bolt but he was too late as it was right in front of me.

I grabbed the bolt and threw it back at Zeus, time returning to normal after I threw it making it look like I moved at impossible speeds, even for a god. The bolt hit him square in the chest, sending him flying into his throne. He wearily tried to get back up but the shadows restrained him. I sent a thankful glance to Hades then looked back at a struggling Zeus.

"This boy is too powerful! We must kill him before he betrays us!" Zeus bellowed as he struggled in his throne. This made me angry. Very angry. I stomped my foot on the ground, causing an earthquake so powerful not even Poseidon could make it stop. Bits of the roof started to fall down as it shook so hard. When I spoke my voice was deadly calm but my eyes held fury.

"Me? Betray you? I just spent half my life in two wars to save your sorry ass." I spat out, my voice barely above a whisper. I turned on my heels, walking out of the room.

"Look out!" Was all I heard before I felt excruciating pain in my back and my whole world went dark.

----------

3rd Person POV

Everybody just stood in silence as the dust settled. There was nothing but ashes left of the hero. Zeus stood with a triumphant smirk on his face before he was impaled by an arrow in the shoulder. He screamed in pain and everybody turned and to their surprise saw Artemis holding her bow, a look of rage clearly evident on her face.

"YOU JUST KILLED THE ONLY DECENT MAN ON THIS PLANET!" She screeched before flashing out.

Percy's POV

I awoke to the smell of sulfur. I stood up and looked around to see I was in the one place I never wanted to be again my life. Tartarus. I took off my shirt, partly because it was so hot, but mainly because there was a huge burn hole on the back. I saw a huge castle in the distance so I started walking towards it.

----------------

As I got to the front gates they swung open. Oy my way here any monsters stupid enough to attack me were quickly dealt with though most just stayed away. I walked through the castle and it seemed like something was guiding me as I took random turns. Finally, I walked into what looked like a throne room with only one throne. But it was occupied.

"Welcome," said the figure in a deep voice,"I have been expecting you, Mr. Jackson. Ever since you escaped the first time I've been wanting a chance to talk to you.

"What do you want Tartarus?" I asked annoyed. I knew I shouldn't be talking to a Primordial like that but I was one too and I wasn't in the mood for games. He just chuckled.

"I am your only way out of here, and it gets awfully lonely here so I'm tempted to make your stay permanent. But, I will let you leave."

"What's the catch?" I asked. He just grinned. "You have to fight a series of monsters until you reach your final opponent in an arena. They gradually get harder and harder until you get to the last one. If you win you get to leave, and a secret surprise. But nobody has ever won. It's impossible."

I sighed. What other choices to I have? "When do I start?" I questioned him. "Now."
