Fighting for my life
I stood in an arena that looked like the Coliseum but everything was black and purple. Tartarus sat in an Emperor's box above the entrance where all the monsters come through. I saw a table with armor on it and walked over. I chose a light chestplate and that was it.
I drew Riptide, walking to the center of the arena. The gate lowered and three Cyclopses lumbered out. All three had clubs. They stalked towards me and I suddenly charged.
I ran straight under the legs of the first one and climbed up on his back. His friend swung at me and I jumped off, the cyclops' head coming off and his body dissolving to dust. The other cyclops then did an overhead swing but I jumped back and his club hit the ground. I ran up the club and jumped once I reached the end, severing his head from his body as I did and rolled once I hit the ground.
I looked at the last one to see him slightly scared. I charged at him and slammed my shoulder into his stomach and got the result I wanted.
The cyclops was sent flying into the wall from the power of my hit. He slammed into the wall so hard he dissolved into dust.
"Next trial!" Boomed Tartarus. No break I guess, though that was okay since I wasn't tired.
What came out next shocked me. It was a really buff man, white as snow with red paint all over his body. He had chains all up and down his arms that were attached to the handles of two swords and a glowing blue two-handed sword on his back. He wore no armor as he stalked towards me.
I shot a questioning look towards Tartarus. "This is Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta. Chaos made him the Primordial god of war." He said.
"Tell you what kid," Kratos said in a gruff voice,"If you beat me, you get my weapons." I just nodded and he charged me.
He moved so fast I barely had enough time to dodge his attack. Then I noticed his boots glowing. He just smirked and kept attacking. He was using his chains to throw his sword and use it as a whip. I ducked under his sword and got an idea. The next time his sword came around I grabbed its chain and yanked on it, pulling him closer. I let go of the chain and kicked him in the chest, sending him flying back. I then willed Hurricane to turn into a copy of his sword. I threw the sword and it wrapped around his neck while he was still flying. I gave a hard tug, making him land on the arena floor with a thud.
I pulled the sword back and willed it back into its ring form. I stalked over to him and stood over his body, ready to finish him. Suddenly he shot up and delivered an uppercut to my jaw, sending me reeling. He got me in a chokehold but I flipped him over my back and quickly drew Riptide. I brought it down to stab him when he shouted.
"WAIT!" I stopped the blade inches from his neck. He stood up, his hands in the air, showing he wouldn't do anything. "You are so far the best fighter I have seen in my life, I would like to not only give you my weapons, but I would like to give you my domain." I was shocked. He wanted me to make him fade. "Are you sure?" I asked. He just nodded. "I have five weapons. Four are the same weapon but morph into different forms while the other is this." He said and handed me the blade on his back.
"It's the Blade of Olympus. Thought to be lost forever. You are now the wielder." I nodded as it shrunk down to a blue fingerless leather glove. "You will also get the bow of Apollo, and the boots of Hermes." He said as his boots flashed onto my feet and a fiery bow appeared in his hand which he handed to me. It turned into a bracelet on my right wrist which seemed to be made of fire.
"And finally, the Blades of Chaos." After he said that the chains flew from his arms to mine. They wrapped all up and down my arms."Please, use those to take my life. It's all I ask." I nodded and plunged the blades into his stomach. His image started to flicker. He started coughing violently, blood coming up. He smiled weakly and mouthed 'thank you' before fading completely.
I felt power surge through me. It was painful but still bearable. I felt myself change physically but I didn't know how. I looked at my arms and saw red lines, like the ones he had, going up my arms starting at my biceps. I lifted my shirt and saw they wrapped around my chest and stopped at my stomach. They were as red as blood.
I looked up at Tartarus. He seemed shocked but hid it well so I wasn't certain. "Now, for your last opponent. Me." He said and teleported down to me in full battle armor which showed tormented souls.
He had a staff with a blade on the end. He wasted no time in charging me. Funny thing was, he wasn't as good as Kratos. He sliced at my head but I ducked and went to stab him in the stomach but my swords turned into gauntlets that looked like the Nemean lion. I punched him in the stomach with both gauntlets, sending him flying back. He stood up and spat out some blood, looking pissed. He charged me again and went to stab me in the stomach but used his momentum from running to plant his blade in the ground and fling himself at me, kicking me in the chest.
I stumbled back but he kept pressing on so I used the gauntlets as big boxing gloves, holding them in front of my face but would move them to my stomach if he went to stab me there, He fainted a strike for my stomach which I went to block but changed direction and slashed at my head. I jerked my head back but still got a nasty cut on my cheek. I kicked him in the wrist so hard I paralyzed his hand for a few seconds making him drop his weapon.
I threw a left hook, right jab and an uppercut at his face, all which he failed to block. I punched him in the stomach making him stumble back and hunch over. I ran at him and dropkicked him. He flew back a few feet and landed on the floor groaning.
I walked over him deciding to end it. The gauntlets changing back to swords. The swords disappeared and I looked at my palms to see eight arrows all connected pointing out. It was called the Arms of Chaos. The chains just wrapped around my arms. It was just burned into the glove on my right hand so it was still visible. I summoned the Blade of Olympus stopped right above Tartarus' head. I drove the blade down into his neck, severing it from his body. His body flickered like every other immortal I've slain. I felt his power flow into me as he disappeared. I felt a burning sensation on my body and lifted my shirt to see purple lines next to the red ones.
There was a necklace left on the ground and I put it on. I tugged on it and his armor engulfed my body. I grinned cause, in all honesty, it looked pretty badass. Since I now held the domain of the pit, I could get out of here. Time to go see Zeus.
That's the Arms of Chaos. It's actually a real thing. Hope you liked this chapter. I know it's all fighting. Hope that's okay. Kratos is from a game called God of War. He isn't a Primordial but the weapons are actually in the game.
