Chapter 7
SEONGJOONG
"NO! FUCK OFF!" Hongjoong yelled at an email which was obviously a scam trying to ruin his life.
Everyone in the company was concerned. They had never seen the kind, calm, man so riled up before. No one went to ask him for help with documents in fear and they looked at Seonghwa for help who simply rolled his eyes.
"Baby?"
"DON’T FUCKING BABY ME RIGHT NOW PARK-KIM SEONGHWA!"
"HEY!" Seonghwa warned. "Hongjoong, don't you dare yell at your own husband. Just because San is dealing with personal matters and you're having a shitty day doesn't mean you get to act like that. Keep up that attitude and you're sleeping in the garage. Now I’m demanding you to fix yourself and calm down."
Hongjoong gave an icy glare to his husband but one look at Seonghwa's serious expression made him drop the glare and let out a tiny sigh before walking towards the taller male with his head hung low. He collapsed against Seonghwa's chest with a loud and tired sigh and it took him all it had to not cry in front of all the workers in the room.
"Im sorry, Hwa," Hongjoong whispered into the tallers neck. "The stress was getting to me and I snapped at you. Please forgive me and I promise I won't yell at you again."
It seemed that the taller male sensed the shorter was about to cry and Seonghwa's arms wrapped around Hongjoong, resting his chin on top of the shorters head. Damn, his husband was perfect even though there were times where he snapped, just as he had done seconds before.
"It's okay, baby. Just try to keep your temper in check, alright?"
They remained like that for several moments and the tension in the air slowly disappeared, allowing everyone to let out breaths of relief. They were so thankful Seonghwa existed and knew how to calm down the tiny male.
Fortunately, Hongjoong fully calmed down after resting and getting fueled from leaning against Seonghwa's chest and was ready to work properly again. He had taken the option of canceling all meetings because frankly, he wasn't in the mood to deal with the shit the other companies brought with them.
However San did it, Hongjoong didn't know and he had gained some form of respect for the younger. It was a tiring job and he was thankful he never experienced that every day.
And even though Hongjoong's day had brightened up a bit, the guilt of yelling at his husband ate away at him and he couldn't bear the thought of the pain Seonghwa had felt when he had raised his voice at him. It bothered him for the rest of the day and by the time it was time to go home, Hongjoong had decided he would take Seonghwa on a date that evening.
Hongjoong didn't mention the date until they were in the vehicle after work. The smaller stared at Seonghwas side profile as the taller drove both of them home. Seonghwas red hair fell over his left eye and that look nearly made Hongjoong go feral.
So beautiful. So fucking beautiful.
Hongjoong felt so damn lucky to be married to such a perfect man and he felt like letting out some form of noise of joy.
"Baby?" Hongjoong asked in a quiet voice but Seonghwa still managed to hear him.
"Hmm?"
"I have something I want to do with you tonight."
Seonghwa glanced at Hongjoong for a second before focusing on the road again.
"What is it, baby?"
"Can we go on a date? I want to take you out to dinner, just the two of us."
Seonghwa was a bit surprised. Truthfully, he missed the days he used to go out to dinner with only Hongjoong but then they adopted Changbin and after that, dates between the two were rare.
"But what about Changbin?"
"San."
"Well in that case, I'd love to be your date," Seonghwa said, reaching over and grabbing Hongjoong's small hand in his.
That was the good thing about having San to use. Hongjoong had known San for several years, even before he became his secretary and now he was going to use him as a babysitter. With the hand that wasn’t latched onto Seonghwa's one, he dialed San's number.
"Hello?"
"Today at six I'll be dropping off Changbin at your house so you can watch him for me for at least two hours. Thank you for agreeing."
With that, Hongjoong hung up with a smug smile and Seonghwa chuckled.
They picked up Changbin from his guardian’s house, Mingi and Yunho, and went home to get ready. Changbin was always at Mingi and Yunho's house after school and Hongjoong didn't feel like asking his friends to let his son stay there for another few hours because the couple needed their time alone as well and they rarely had it considering an energetic five-year-old was always bouncing around.
San was waiting in the living room once the couple arrived and they only stuck around for a few seconds before driving off and leaving San with two children. They hoped he would be alive and well once they returned for their son.
Hongjoong had selected an expensive yet nice restaurant to eat at. The only reason he had selected it was because the food and the quantity was worth the price.
A seat in a corner was given to them and it was peaceful. Extremely peaceful without Changbin and it took some time for the two to relax fully. Hongjoong ordered their food and even though they were married and shared most of their money between them, he insisted on using from his personal amount of money to pay for their dinner.
Sometime during the ending of their dinner, Hongjoong grabbed Seonghwa's large hand in both of his hands and told him the main reason for their dinner date, hoping his husband wouldn't be mad at him.
"Baby, I had already forgiven you," Seonghwa explained, fondness in his eyes as he looked at his husband. "You didn't need to do this but I still appreciate it."
Seonghwa leaned over the table and placed a peck on Hongjoongs nose then sat down, quietly laughing at the way the shorters nose scrunched.
“But I felt bad for yelling at you. I would never want you to be hurt over something I did and me yelling at you wasn't acceptable.”
“Don't worry. I know you're sorry and you did it out of stress,” Seonghwa comforted, bringing Hongjoong’s hand up to his mouth and delicately kissing the back.
They had already been out for over an hour and Seonghwa's parental senses were beginning to tingle.
"I think we should go. Binnie may be starting to give trouble."
Hongjoong nodded in agreement, getting up from the table and silently hoping that San was having peace.
In truth, he was nearly certain Binnie was being peaceful.
