- Unedited and may contain overly repeated words -
Honestly...I think I like the last one better because it looks better -_-* - Yeah I've tried to draw a picture of Percy Archers but it looks like I've screwed it up.
Reason:- The fact that I just finished my exams tired the heck outta me and also cuz I was hiding my artistic skills from my folks lmao *Sarcasm*
-_- ''
If you're also wondering why there are so many of them instead of one and I'm being a dumbass here is because I just didn't like the others and some make look a bit hard to see so I improvised. *Tiny microscopic improvisation* ^o~
I shout out to the amazing person who created the last sketch. Thank You for letting me borrow this artistic sketch to portray Percy ( >V<) and hopefully you'll see this one day and not kill me. *No sarcasm here guys - none at all*
Thank You.
And so this is my 2nd attempt to draw a character from this book. My 1st one was Diana and the results were - awesome. (I'll be uploading that .... - very soon)
No wait I did!! Yeyy!!
But since I didn't have the motivation for this one it turned...the other way around. *Sighs in frustration*
Anyways hope you guys will enjoy this chapter.
I also recommend you to actually listen to this god damn amazing song while reading because it is one of my most favorite and I totally luv it and hope you will too! And also because it sorta reflects what's gonna happen in the next few minutes.
Cia! >v<

Scarlet's POV
As a thick blanket of what seeming looked like a milky fog lifted me into an array of aromas; one in particular caught my attention.
I floated almost lifelessly into the air twirling around under the colorful night sky. I sighed and inhaled the air like as if I was missing parts of my memory.
It was quiet.
Not even the sounds of crickets or any signs of fireflies were to be seen.
I was gently laid down onto an emerald hillside where a bunch of lavenders grew proudly, showing off their deep amethyst petals.
It was almost like I was being pulled int a trance.
"Beautiful. But, I wonder," I whispered admiring the flowers. "Why are they blooming when it's nearly pitch black out here?" I softly touched their petals as I feared I might ruin their perfect texture.
Like I suspected. They were extremely soft and smelled sickly like a past feeling. However, I still felt more relaxed than ever in this place.
"But...what is this place?" I wondered. Now that I suddenly became aware of my dreamy surrounding I noticed that I was sitting on a very tall hill in the midst of a valley of mountains and a river was flowing rapidly near by. The sky was filled with jewels of its own, burning billions of miles away were giant balls of gad that decorated the night.
I looked down on my clothes and noticed I was still in my uniform.
"Where am I ? How did I even get here?" I thought. I couldn't remember the last thing I did before getting here and my nerved started to freak out as a cool breeze brought me goosebumps on my skin.
But the comforting smell of lavenders drew me back into my dream world.
I laid down on my back, not caring about anything in the world and exhaled soundly.
The blue-black night sky brought comfort to me and the starts above scattered like a million gems across the atmosphere brought down light along with the Earth's silver glowing companion - the moon.
Suddenly a great gush of air swept me onto my feet just as I was about to drift back to sleep and lifted me once more into the sky but this time it was't fog that was circling me - it was a dust storm.
A huge tornado of sandy dust carried me into the eye and soon I found my self standing almost unconsciously in a lush garden. Grasping a nearby branch I steadied myself from falling and took a deep breath.
As soon as I felt whole again I lifted my head slowly so I won't get dizzy again and analyzed my surrounding.
To my surprise it was very dense and barely any light could be seen under the moon. It was night again but this time I wasn't standing in a valley; I was facing a house.
The house was huge and most likely a mansion. There were several windows but few balconies. No lights could be seen inside except for a window with a wide balcony connected to it. The garden I was in seemed to be located at the back yard and the air was frustratingly hot that I hadn't noticed I was sweating.
It was like a jungle in here.
I stayed there for what seemed like forever not moving a muscle as I admired the area. There were flowers of all sorts of kinds everywhere and trees growing different species of fruits. A vegetable patch could be made out if I squinted hard enough at the very end of the garden next to a green house.
The first thought that came was that my mom would love this. She always adored flowers and enjoyed planting her own plants when I was younger. Being a florist would've been her dream job if she hadn't dreamed of being a police woman.
I began exploring bit by bit and it felt like I was walking through a Disney movie.
However, whoever had built this was truly imaginative and artistic. I continued to gawk and slowly approached a bunch of violets near an apple tree in the open when suddenly a door flung violently open.
I froze from my position.
Out came a girl about my age but a little younger - maybe 14 or 15 and she was running around the garden being chased by what looked like another girl but she looked to be about 17.
I couldn't make them out properly but faintly.
Thankfully they were far away from me. It was a huge garden after all. I tried to head back towards the bushes but as soon as I moved the girls came running towards the apple trees.
They were both wearing night gowns and slippers. A light from the door they came from glowed brightly and out came a young man. He looked daintily handsome and much older than the girls. Probably already 19 or in his early 20s.
My attention was immediately brought back to the two girls who were still messing around and the young girl was screaming to the older one to let her be.
"I wouldn't unless you give me back what's mine!" she yelled back. The young man just stood by the door shaking his head and looked at then with frustration in his eyes. He lifted his eyes under the bright moon light and craned his neck towards the girls.
Suddenly his eyes landed towards the area where I was.
He stared at me for what seemed like forever before shouting at me.
"Move aside you brat! You don't want to trample your lavenders now would you." he yelled causing me to jump up in surprise as he addressed me. Wait. Lavenders?
I quickly moved aside not knowing there were lavenders next to me and looked behind. Shockingly there lay a whole row of baby lavenders still in the process of growing. No wonder I hadn't smelled them.
I smiled. "Cute."
Their scents aren't strong yet. Mom would've loved to grow these herself. They're her favorite flowers after all.
"I'm sorry brother. I can't see well in the dark you know!" replied the young girl.
So they were siblings.
"No you're just blind. Now give me back my things! How dare you disrespect me! I'm older than you," cried the other girl. But the younger one didn't pay heed, stuck out her tongue and ran towards another part of the garden.
"Girls, do you have any idea what time it is and that your screams will wake up the whole neighborhood?" he groaned massaging his temples. He clearly must have had a bad day and these two was just making it worse. "Come one in girls, get over your stupid fight. For God's sake you're almost grown woman! Get in, mom and dad are calling us in." And with that he left, not bothering to check if they had followed him in.
"But she stole - ugh never mind. I'll just do it myself," grumbled the older girl. "Brielle you better get your butt back here and hand me that letter or I'm telling Colton about your secret admirers!"
"Was that a threat I here?" Brielle smirked as she ran behind a mango tree. "Or should I expose you too?"
I giggled. Brielle seemed like a girl that rebels a lot.
The older girl turned a deep shade of red and dashed towards her sister. Brielle giggled and ran towards the kitchen door. It looked like a kitchen by now because I could see pots and pans on a nearby table.
"Come on Johanna!" she teased and finally disappeared inside. Her sister came trailing behind, muttering about revenge of some sort.
Hold on a moment.
He...didn't see me. They didn't see me!
That means I can still keep on exploring.
I hurried towards the door making sure Johanna or any of them were not anywhere in the perimeter as I opened the door. Luckily she forgot to close it behind her in a hurry.
I excitedly took a step into the house and what I saw instantly took my breath away.
These couldn't be flashbacks right? I mean I haven't met these or even seen these people before. Nonetheless the house seemed pretty cozy and warm and it felt almost like home to me.
I don't favor large mansions at all and prefer little cottages or a small house but the vibes I'm getting here are so almost more than hostile.
There was a grand staircase at the corner of the house and spread in front of my was a huge dining hall and living room beside it. There were a number of other rooms as well which was meant for a big family to enjoy.
As I climbed up the staircase, a door which was labeled as "Library" immediately took my attention. I rushed towards the door like a little girl that was about to receive her cookies and cream ice cream and giddily opened the door.
I let out a sharp gasp.
There were cupboard and cupboards of books. Almost endlessly and neatly rowed up. It was like a dream I didn't want to end.
But then I heard shuffling behind me and hastily shut the door.
I stood outside the library waiting for someone to come and soon enough a bright beam of light coming from a torch was shining through the hall. There Brielle came alone holding a piece of cake in her mouth and hair loosely swinging. As she passed by I noticed how beautifully straight and shiny her straight jet black hair was that fell between her shoulders.
It was odd.
None of the furniture here resembled any that I see at home or the present world. It's as if I had been brought back in time and set somewhere in the mids of early 1990s.
Even the clothes the children wore were off the past. Just now as I recalled, I had passed a telephone dating back before I was even born!
I looked back at Brielle.
She reminded me of someone tho I couldn't figure it out at that moment because soon I had to hold onto my breath as she passed by. The scent of perfume stung my nose so badly that I wanted to sneeze. Surely this was what Johanna's revenge was because Brielle seemed to be smelling the air in disgust as well.
When she disappeared around a corner, I quickly took to my feet and scrambled downstairs. I figured there would be just bedrooms and I assume an office on the first floor.
I remembered passing by the living room where a numerous portraits of the country side were hanged around. Vases filled with floras filled the ground floor.
Soon I found myself staring at a huge cupboard filled with books but not just any - they were albums!
Eagerly, I slowly opened the transparent glass and took one out. There must be many more of these. My hypothesis by then was this house was probably passed down form many generations as I could still smell a tiny hint of paint and fresh wood lingering in the air.
The house was even more stunning than the outdoors. I secretly praised the architecture for building this magnificent structure. I don't usually or rarely admire houses or buildings but this was certainly one to treasure.
What seemed like hours passed by as I scrambled through family albums. The families there were really lovely and the love that couples shine through their eyes almost melted my heart away. Baby photos was what I really loved to look at. I admired the creators of these books for for every page there would be wonderful descriptions names and all sorts of ages and things that would make me seem even more interested than before.
The hand writing was an elegant cursive hand writing that would change slightly down the generations.
Finally, I came upon a book that seemed sort of newly bought but by few years. Probably the current family.
I excitedly opened it and the first photo I saw shocked the life out of me.
All the colors drained away from my face.
I felt nauseous. The bile in my empty stomach began trying to make its journey towards my mouth and my throughout suddenly became terribly dry.
My head started buzzing with all sorts of images all at a time causing me to stumble and fall onto the living room's furry carpet.
Pictures...pictures of people began filling my mind. Their faces seemed blurry at first but soon they all became clear.
I can see them. I can hear them too. But it all came so fast that I blacked out almost instantly.
****
I woke up to the smell of something indistinguishably delicious. I sniffed the air once again and caught the scent this time.
The strong smell of grind beef and cheese with tomato filled the air and if I was not mistaken; pasta.
Spaghetti!
I immediately ripped my eyes open to be greeted by darkness and only a lamp stood shining beside me.
I felt the soft mattress under me and by the looks of it; I was in a bedroom.
The smell was so inviting that I was ready to spring out like a newly born foal. But when I tried to move my body ached and I had to lay down again.
I stayed lying on the bed for almost 5 minutes whilst I allowed my eyes to explore the place while my brain was adjusting to my recent dreams. My body was still sore but my throat wasn't quenching at all.
What happened? How did I end up here?
The album! Those pictures!
But then I realized it wasn't real.
"It was merely only a dream." I thought.
"It couldn't be real. Probably my sub consciousness playing a trick on me. But it seemed so vivid. I had never dreamed of something like that before." The throbbing in my head had finally disappeared but as I tried to remember how I got here a piece of my wavy hair fell onto my left eye. Instantly I brought my left hand to move it away but I couldn't. Something was holding it down.
My body suddenly froze and my heart started beating wildly. I turned slowly to look at what's been preventing me and immediately regretted it.
There resting his head on my arm and hands on my stomach was a young man. His head was buried on my bed sheet and when I let out a gasp in a jolt and out of his grasp as I sat in surprise while my feet started moving and pushed myself further away from the stranger. He on the other hand woke up on shock and immediately sat straight up.
"Wha-at?" he grumbled and rubbed his eyes. His face was covered by a mask. I looked at him more closely in the shadow of the room and thanks to the lamp I remembered.
Past events started filling my mind again and soon I shouted. "YOU!"
He then realized where he was and grabbed my hands.
"Scarlet! Thank god you're awake! Are you alright? Are you feeling better now?" his tone was full of concern yet I still couldn't trust him. "Scarlet are yo-"
"Stay away!" I shrieked and punched him on the face sending him tumbling back.
"Where am I? What are you doing here? What happened?" I asked in a train of panic. "Where's Daphne?"
"Whoa calm down Scar." he groaned as he tried standing up and made his way groggily back towards the bed, hand where his chin is suppose to be under that mask where I sort of slammed my knuckled harder than needed. "Take a deep breath. You've had it tough please don't stress out. You're suppose to be resting."
"What the fuck are you talking about. I'm fine! And where am I?" I screamed looking around the room.
"You're at my house and you've been passing out lately."
What?
I've never passed out in my life!
But...if I had then why here and not my house ? I mean I don't even know this stranger!
"Where's Daphne?" I demanded.
"She's at her house," he answered rolling his eyes. I stuck my tongue out while crossing my arms and glared at the bed.
Holy Fuck!
That was...wait hold up.
I'm here with Archers. And he is a pervert.
Also.
He was in a bed. With me in it.
"Hey Scarlet, I was wond-"
Holy freaking -
"Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs and kicked him when he tried to come closer. "Don't you fucking dare move or I'll call the police and why the shitty hell am I here?"
"Whoa, whoa calm down babe," he reassured and again tried to get closer but I wouldn't let him. He looked at me with strikingly charming eyes and before I knew it, we were sharing a moment. His head was starting to get close to mine and before I knew it his face was right in front of mine.
Thank god he was wearing a mask other wise I'd kick him in the nuts before he could even reach me. I shook my head and pushed him back.
"Don't you freaking babe me. I don't even know who you fucking are "Archers" and if you're some what related to Percy you're a much bigger pervert than he is. Looks like it runs in the family," I snickered as I brought the sheet up until my chin and held up my middle finger.
The guy just chuckled loudly finding what I just announced amusing.
His hair was tossed and turned around which oddly made him look cute. I mean - what the fuck am I saying.
He looks more like a gangster.
"A gangster that saved your pretty ass milady," he chuckled lightly. I stared wide eyed.
"H-how?" I asked dumbfounded.
"Well let's just say - telepathy?" he said sarcastically.
"Shut up! I said it out loud didn't I?" I rolled my eyes. He nodded his head with a smug smile.
"Can't I at least get a thank you for cleaning you up and putting you into a comfortable bed. My bed to be exact." he grinned.
What?!
I immediately looked down and there my uniform was gone and in its place was a large T-shirt and boxers. Black ones to be exact.
My face turned beat root and I let out a ridiculously loud scream.
"PERVERT!" I yelled at the top of my lungs and started hitting him as he shielded hid head. "Fucking bitch I swear to god what did you do! Did you-"
"Oh my god. How dare you touch me!" I shrieked and got up to slap his face. The sound echoed across the room as I fumed at him. His face was in total shock but I couldn't see the grin the had been submerged under it. Damn that mask.
"No I didn't! For God's sake keep it down or you'll make the whole household rush in here." he hissed, hand still at his cheek that I slapped and clamped another hand against my mouth. I violently pulled away and pouted.
"Damn for a girl you hit hard. Real hard!" he groaned as he rubbed his face.
"Served you right asshole!" I snapped before looking away.
"I hadn't done anything to you! I commanded my maids to dress you up." he revealed and I relaxed for a second.
"What time is it?" I asked randomly.
"It's almost 2 pm." That was all I needed to know.
I sent him a last final death glare and sunk back in under the covers biting my lips.
I laid down staring at the ceiling and cuddled against the comfort of my black comforter. Nice color. It is one of my favorite. I turned towards the opposite side as my back faced him.
"Are you hungry?" he asked this time more softly.
He let out a deep sigh after I didn't reply. "Listen you were out for two days."
What the...
2 DAYS!
"Scarlet? I know that's a bit shocking but yeah. And again I ask you. Are you hungry?"
"Talk to the back."
"I asked you a question." he tried again more firmly.
"No." I replied plainly. I clearly didn't want to talk to someone like him after finding out that I had been asleep for almost 42 hours. "I'm not hungry thank you."
"Yes, I know you are and stop lying. Quit being stubborn."
Says the stubborn ass.
"I felt you move once the smell of spaghetti hit your nose." he said. "This means you're hungry."
I groaned. I wasn't just hungry. I was starving.
"And I also know that it's your favorite meal." he whispered huskily into my ear. I shivered under his voice and dove in deeper under the sheets.
"Stalker." I snapped. "How did you know?"
I heard no answer.
"Get up and get dressed. You said you're fine right. Good. You need energy."
"But-"
"Na-ah. Answers will be for later. For now I need to to get back on your toes so let me help you."
Wait how did he know that?
He then said touched my shoulders like I was a newborn baby he was talking to.
I shrugged his hand away.
What was wrong with this kid! Does he have a mental issue with himself because he wouldn't stop touching my shoulders.
"Listen I don't freaking care that you're crying like a baby all because a girl slapped you and yes thank you for saving us earlier stranger when I still don't even know you're name! And that dramatic scene you made at school won't affect me at all because right now I'm stressed as hell and all I want to do is go home!"
Whoa. That came out like a bullet train.
"Don't ever fucking touch me again." I ended, gritting my teeth. I thought he'd give up by then. Oh, how I was so wrong.
He just kept on nudging my shoulders until I finally snapped and threw the pillow next to me smashing it hard against his head.
He pouted under his mask.
He is so like Percy if they are sort of related then that made sense.
I snorted at the thought.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothing."
"Come on I know something passed by your head by the way I stared at me."
I blushed.
"Leave me alone. And why do you keep wearing that stupid mask anyways? How the hell did you sleep without suffocating?"
Why did I even care!
"Because I look ugly underneath it. Happy now?" he smirked.
"Liar!"
"What so your calling me handsome?" he asked cheekily which made me stop punching him with a pillow.
"N-no! For fuck's sake can you let me sleep."
"It's noon and you've slept for days now aren't you tired?" he asked in surprised.
"I'm exhausted." and with that I collapsed against the mattress. This made him chuckle loudly but then turned serious after I let out a groan.
"Are you hurt?" he asked again in his soft voice suddenly holding me by a shoulder.
I nodded and sighed.
"My body just aches a little."
"Shit." he cursed silently. "Don't worry, I'll call in the family doctor soon. If you don't want to get up it's alright. You need to rest anyways. I'll bring the food up here."
"You have your own personal Doctor?" I asked in surprise. Was he some sort of billionaire or something by the way he speaks.
"Oh you have no idea babe," he winked which sent goosebumps trailing along my skin.
In the light of the lamp I could see his eyes were in a storm as he stood up to his full height making him looked like a giant to me.
"What's your height?" I asked .
"6'2. Why do you ask?" he grinned, his eyes were now a twinkling brown.
"Just wondering because you look gigantic from where I am right now."
His wavy hair was messed up in every direction while his eyes had tired bags under it. He looked almost - hot.
I shook my head hard.
No, you can't be serious.
"Have you...been taking care of your self?" I asked in a small voice not wanting any attention. This startled me but I peeked out from under the pillow I was hugging tightly and saw the glint of surprise in his eyes turn into a mischievous smile.
"Are you worried or something?" he grinned meekly.
"Yes." I replied plainly which caught him off guard. He put his hand behind his head and started messing up his hair again. Wait was he blushing?
"Well, yeah actually but it's you I'm worried about so how about we-"
But before he could continue someone or a whole bunch of people came barging through the door.
"Oh my god Scarlet are you finally woke up baby! How are you feeling? asked a woman's voice.
"Mom?" I asked in an even more surprised tone before I got crushed into a bone crushing hug. "Mom!" and hugged her immediately with a million questions stuck in my head.
"Mom get us out of here!" I begged. Behind her came my Dad and a few other people I haven't met. "Mom where is Amy?"
Now it was her turn to to be surprised. "Wait hold on honey. Amy is safe with your aunt don't worry.
"Mom, get Amy, we need to leave now."
"Why?" she asked again in confusion.
"Mom! Are you seriously kidding me! We are in some strangers house that we don't even know! And how did you guys even find me? Wait how did you even know?" I frowned. But the look on my mom's face didn't help. She was smiling almost beaming and relaxed but when I asked her her smile turned into a questioning look.
That's when I started to freak out. Even my Dad who's usually the over protective guy sat at the edge not even warding Archers off and smiled at me like he usually does.
"Am I missing something here. Can someone please explain!" I exhaled angrily after holding in my breath.
I was getting nervous, terrified and anxious all at the same time when suddenly I heard a familiar chuckle from beside me. There Archers sat staring at me and I realized I had just woken up and probably looked like a mess in front of all of this people.
Embarrassed I hid behind my mom.
Who were they?
They surrounded the bed and smiling but I had to duck, not making any eye contact with anyone. I probably looked like I take have a bath for a year.
"Mom who are they?"
She chuckled. "Don't worry. They're some members of Archers family. We're old friends of theirs and I'm sorry I hadn't mentioned this sooner but I expected Archers here to have explained it to you before we came in."
"What?" I asked even more confused than ever.
"God this is going to be much more tougher than we planned." she said eyeing Archers with playful glares. He just smirked.
"I'm sorry but I was getting there before you unexpectedly made your entrance here Mrs. Wolf." he replied with a smirk. Archers was amazingly acting normal like nothing ever happened between us.
"Well, in our defense, we heard screaming and came to check on our daughter." replied Dad firmly. Finally he was back but only too soon had he gone back to that new weird self of his.
"I couldn't believe my parents. I can't believe anything in my life right now. This is so not them and I'm super confused right now." I groaned against my mom's back to myself.
I peeked secretly at Archers. I was so self contained and acing my parent's trust. What the actual fuck. I'm suddenly jealous here.
"Well I guess we better explain it to her now." said Dad.
"It's too soon!" my mom hissed. "She just woke up and extremely exhausted!"
"It'll be too late then." my Dad pointed out.
"B-but she hadn't even eaten yet. I'm not sure it's a good idea to break this to her. No. We need to explain everything to her properly once she's recovered. It wouldn't do anything but make her black out again."
Break what to me? For God's sake! What the fuck were they talking about?
As I looked desperately between my Mom and Dad I could see a feud rising.
My Mom looked at my Dad for what seemed like an eternity battling with him but then agreeing at the end as she gave me one last apologetic look before finally sighing. Usually my Dad would be the one retreating but here I see a change.
As she looked at me in the eyes, mom grabbed hold of my hands and squeezed it before rubbing it soothingly as she spoke.
She looked at Archers then at me and indicted to me to look at him.
Hesitantly, I was confused but she urged me to do so. There were a lot of eyes staring at me and God know why they're here but Archers was pretty chill about them invading my privacy and so were my parents.
So I did.
"Honey." she began slowly. "You're engaged to him."
