AUTHOR'S POV

"Hah! Yes! Burn like that!" A maniac laugh followed after the saying.

"Who do you take me for?! Water barrier!" A yelp was heard.

"Ah! My face is all watery now!" Groaned the person.

"It's called wet, stupid. Do I have to teach you now?" An eye roll was easily heard if one could hear the conversation.

Jungkook squinted his eyes while standing outside the room with his arms folded on his chest. His eyebrows were drawn close. Weird voices were coming from his room. He knew something was surely off.

This morning he had woken up to see Y/n already up and nowhere to be seen. They came yesterday night when it was very cool.

JK'S POV

I sighed remembering the lurking evil spirits I sensed yesterday night on our way back.

They weren't easy to notice but I could sense their traces and movements. Seemed like they wanted something. They have been growing fast over the years and people have been overlooking them. By the term 'people', I meant my father and the nobles of his.

I'm sure they would be an obstacle shortly and I need to take care of it. I would take care of it.

For now, I must focus on the voices. With slow and light steps, I gripped my sword as I got closer to the door. Lavender dust surrounded my hand and flew over to the knob. Hoping it would not creak or make a noise, I twisted my hand and the purple mist opened the door without any noise.

My face squinted more as the knob turned. A relieved sigh escaped my mouth. I opened it one only inch to examine the insides.

AUTHOR'S POV

Y/n held two feathers in her both hands. She held them up and down and was voicing them.

'She is playing with them?!', he thought. He expected an intruder, not Y/n playing with herself. Jungkook stood at the door and his grip loosened around the knob. The purple mist disappeared into thin air and his lips parted.

Here he thought that someone had invaded his room and was ready to fight.

The door opened wide as he no longer held it.

Y/n glanced at the door for a second and returned to play with the feathers, voicing them like they were some characters. Her hands stopped and her eyes widened. She glanced at the door more clearly, snapping her head.

Y/n blinked and gazed at her hands, recalling what she was doing. She abruptly stood up and straightened her clothes which wasn't needed at all.

Clearing her throat, she said. "G-Good morning." She stuttered with utter embarrassment. A light pink hue painted her cheeks and nose.

"Good...morning," replied Jungkook, his voice low, who came inside the room and shut the door. Still engulfed in his reverie of what happened a few moments ago.

Y/n stood closing her eyes shut. 'What were you doing Y/n?!', mentally scolded herself.

"Are you bored?" asked Jungkook, highlighting her actions more which ate Y/n due to embarrassment and awkwardness. "Y-Yes." Uttering words which seemed impossible for her to do so, she took deep breaths. The temperature of her body grew warmer.

"I'll tell Yeonjun to take you outside." Saying this, Jungkook fled to Yeonjun as a way to escape the situation. He found it a lot awkward to converse when he had found her like that.

While he went away, Y/n banged her head to the nearest wall. "Who. The. Heck. Told. You. To. Do. That?!" Y/n questioned her life choices.

A few minutes had passed and a soft knock was heard. "Come in." Her voice was worn out by the turn of events which took place at the start of the day.

"Your Highness! I am not allowed to open  the door, it belongs to the Prince!" Yeonjun chirped from the hallway, standing patiently. Y/n was exasperated and opened the door.

"Good morning your Highness! Do you have any plans for today?" Yeonjun greeted with cheerfulness evident in his voice. "Morning and no, I don't have any plans. Can you take me outside, somewhere?"

"Your order is my command. Please follow me." As he walked ahead, his long white kimono settled perfectly and the golden lining enhanced his appearance.

"What is this?!"

"Your Highness, this is the biggest and one of the best parts of our empire." Y/n's eyes glittered when she glanced at the scenery displayed before her. A Royal Park.

Golden benches were at the sides to sit down and rest. Cherry trees planted close by gave relaxation. Rare flowers perfumed the gentle breeze with their scent.

A silver water fountain was placed in the centre. A few kids were playing in the park, tumbling over each other. Food stalls were there of different unique foods.

"This is amazing Yeonjun!" She said, gaining the attention of a few. The ordinary people recognised the soon-to-be-queen and whispers started among them.

Y/n took a seat on a bench, and Yeonjun followed her, who then stood aside. The children were playing, laughing and giggling, as they went over to one of the stalls beside her bench. She inhaled and her eyes roamed over the place.

After being in the Palace for a few days, it was new for her to be outside in a place like this. It was rather fun than anything. Bubbles of amusement burst inside Y/n.

"You're a fool Soyoon." A black-haired boy with a snarky face commented.

"No one asked your opinion; kindly shut your mouth, Hajun." A golden brown-haired girl retorted and pulled a tight smile.

"Guys, don't fight now!" A blue-haired boy whined and came in between the two who glared at each other. A trio.

"Hajun, stop it now." He spoke again, trying to calm down the situation. "You're against me now, I see." Hajun rolled his eyes teasingly, seeing his friend scolding him.

"I'm not against you! You're my bestie, I would ask you to be quiet because you'll understand!"

"So you're indirectly calling me stubborn and not your friend, wow Minjoon!" spoke the girl named Soyoon again.

They bickered over everything they could find. Y/n was staring at this trio and a smile spread across her face. A wind of amusement washed over her. They were young, looked about 7 to 8 years old yet they sounded like teenagers who bickered.

Such a lovely group of friends. Youth it was. So precious and little. Y/n continued to smile more, appreciating the scene in front of her eyes.
