Kevin's parents went missing and he set out to find him. He had felt something changing inside of him. He was becoming braver and more independent. Much wiser than he used to be. As he ventured out to find his parents, he ran into the Evil Queen's daughter, Raven, who threatened him, his family, and his beloved Mary.

Overtaken with fear, rage, and motivation, his light powers activated and he sent Raven flying into oblivion.

Shocked, he looked at his hands.
