Shelby's P.O.V

I squealed. "Scott, she's out there!" I cried, pointing out the window.

Both Scott and Mika stared out there in confusion. "There's no-one there," Scott said.

"No, no, she's coming back for me." I grabbed a blanket and wrapped myself in it. "She wants my magic, she wants it for bad things!"

"Shelby, calm down."

"How?!"

I stood with the blanket, opened the door, and ran my bare feet downstairs. I heard Scott behind me. 

I entered the lounge where everyone was chilling, and there she was. Standing with a horrible smile on her face. "NO!" I screamed. Everyone stared at me. "GET OUT!!"

Tears started streaming down my face as I stumbled back. She waved at me. I shook my head, whispering the word 'no' over and over.

She was here.

Here to take me back.

Here to use me for her own twisted purposes.

I blinked. And she was gone. Although I didn't trust she was gone. My heavy breathing filled the silence of the room. "What was that about?" Elise asked eventually.

"Yeah... what did happen?" Oli reworded the question.

"She wants my soul back. She probably knows about my new power." I stood, pressing my back against the wall. "She's gonna get to me again, I know it. Maybe she knew what she did when she took Cory's powers and combined them with mine. Maybe she didn't. But she knows I have a rare and strong power." I sniffled and squeaked out, "And she knows I can destroy you all with it."

Cory chuckled. "Oh Shelby, she can't destroy us all," he said.

"I nearly did when she had me last time!"

"She was nowhere close. Now we know to be on guard. We have several more people here with powers they know well, and possibly even people who don't know they have magic. Elise and Mika obviously have ties with Power Souls. I mean, they did find us."

"Jesus Christ, you're right," Jack realised. "But how do we figure out what their magic could be?"

"The peeps from that cave thing!" Jess exclaimed.

"Wut?" Elise asked, confused by the entire situation.

"Basically, only creatures with some form of light magic can see this place, be in this place. So you two obviously have magic. And we learnt friendship magic in the previous book from some people in a cave who also had magic."

"If only light magic can get here, how'd Shelby's dark soul get here?" Joey asked.

I smiled. "She could still harness even the smallest bit of light magic. If we know how to trigger that, then we can stop her for good. But before we go any further, let's go to the cave."

"Okay. So. I have decided sing-alongs are mandatory on these little trips," Oli announced. "Specifically Minecraft parodies."

"I got this," Elise said, clearing her throat. "I used to rule the world, chunks would load when I gave the word!"

"Now every night I go STOWAWAY, hide from the mobs I used to slayyyyy."

So that was a pleasant time.

Boom, boom, lazy author, time skip, boom. Wow, we arrived at the cave! We took a step in, and I called out. "Hello?! Anyone?!"
