"Who else is coming?", Sheri asks confused when someone knocks the door although everyone is already at Zach's place. "I'll take a look", Liz says standing up to open the door.

"Hey, where should we place the beer?", Scott asks her friendly, more jocks standing behind him. Of course, Jeff is with them, too. His smile fades when he sees the girl he loves so deeply. "That's a small round not a party."

"I thought Elizabeth Lennox doesn't miss a good party? Because we're having one now", Pratters chuckles and just walks into the Dempsey's house. Liz looks after him confused but before she could throw them out, Justin steps in.

"Bro, come here with the beer! Ah Scotty, you're coming with me, you need to get laid today. Let Jeff stay with Ellie", he laughs happily and pulls the blonde boy with him. Justin could keep the fourty bucks if Liz ends up with Jeff again. Liz doesn't hesitate and wants to quickly apologize to Jeff and ask if they could talk but he walks away with the boys and ignores her.

While the party went on, she feels Jeff watching her. Not only him, Scott also. She thought about different ways how to apologize to Scott and talk to him about it, but she hasn't figured the best one out yet. Plus, she's afraid of his reaction. "Boy, just take her and go to a room!", a drunk Justin yells over to Jeff commenting on how long the boy stared at his ex-girlfriend.

"Man, you take her if you want her", Jeff laughs. The boys, Sheri and Liz look at Jeff confused. If anyone would have said something like that, Jeff would have freaked out and immediately defended her but now he's the one talking about her like that. 

"Bro, you're not serious. You want her, don't you? You were the couple everyone loves, man!", Bryce adds enjoying the fact that he doesn't have a love like that the friends could talk about. "And? Everyone makes a mistake. I've apologized to Leah." "Nah, you don't want the crazy one back", Monty grins, stands up dizzily and tousles his best friend's hair, "You want Lizzy."

"I say it friendly, shut the hell up, Monts", she stops him from talking more about her so loudly that everyone could hear him. Monty pouts for a moment but cuddles her then. A drunk Montgomery could be less aggressive. Well, around the right people, of course.

"It's your turn filling the cups", Sheri gives her the cups with an innocent smile. "Nah, it's so comfortable right now", Liz giggles. "Come on, lazy bitch", Sheri replies laughing so Liz groans but lets go of Montgomery to go to the kitchen.

"Oh man", she mutters looking for the next best whiskey bottles in the kitchen. How the hell did I end up in this situation again?, Liz thinks to herself. "Hey", Scott says suddenly appearing next to her. "Scott", she whispers surprised about the fact that he's talking to her, "I wanted to tell you what happened. Really, I just didn't know how and when and then you were so distant on thursday. I thought you hated me again." She didn't want to waste no time.

"I don't hate you", Scott shakes his head, "I don't understand what that means, you know? One moment we're at your place or at mine, the next you're with Jeff. I thought you guys were over." "Did he say that?", Liz wonders. "Is that everything that you've heard?", Scott just replies blankly. He wanted to ask her to be his girlfriend the next time that they see each other. That was before he found out that Jeff and her kissed.

"Bro, I think Ellie and I are serious again. What happened yesterday was insane but so worth it", Jeff told his best friend on Monday after their workout. "What was worth it?", Scott wonders hoping for the best and that Jeff is just understanding her signals in a wrong way. 

"Leah picked up a fight again and Ellie came in between. We've had a massive discussion but in the end, I broke up with Leah and she's hit Ellie and drove away. Ellie and I kissed. Man, there would have been more if she just hadn't stopped me." 

"Wait, Leah hit Lennox and you and her kissed? How did it go from this to that?", Scott asks pretending to be confused. Well, the boy is confused, but not about Jeff. Was he the one who interprets her behavior falsely? Was he just a sidekick to her? A meaningless affair? 

"Ellie's cheek bled so I helped her and we were pretty close." So now that she's so close to Jeff, she can just kiss him? We're not even dating, Scott thinks trying to calm himself down but his feelings are mixed. He still likes her, of course, but he's not sure about her feelings anymore.

"No, I'm sorry", Liz shakes her head focusing on the other parts of his statement, "Jeff and I are over, for real. I admit that it's been pretty confusing and I also don't know what it means. I just.. I wish it didn't happen." "You do?", Scott asks surprised. 

"Yes.. Not only because of Jeff and Leah or him and I but I didn't mean to affect you. I don't know what it is between us but I feel like I shouldn't have let it happen or at least tell you myself. I wanted to but looks like Jeff was quicker." "He was", Scott nods and gives her a warm smile. They still haven't talked about their relationship clearly but at least he knows that she's just as confused as him.

"Did you tell Monty?" "No, why do you think so?" "Then how did they find out?", she wonders skeptically nodding into the direction of the door to the living room where their friends sit, "Monty said he heard it from Jeff."

"Didn't you tell him about it? You and Monty are inseparable", Scott states. "No. I mean the boys asked me about you after Monty paid you a visit the morning after the dance. They kind of knew it anyways." "But you threatened me to not tell anyone", Scott chuckles finally feeling the bond between them again as she grins shyly and looks between his eyes and his lips. He could just grab her by her neck and kiss her but they're here in the Dempsey's kitchen.

"He told me after the workout. Monty could have heard us", Scott changes the topic again. "So we're good?" "We're good", the boy nods, "If you need to escape this stupid party, I could walk you home. You know, being nice and stuff." "Being nice", Liz nods, "Completely selfless?" "I wouldn't turn down the offer to stay at your place", Scott flirts again. 

Finally, Liz thinks to herself being able to let go of all the worry from the past week. "I mean, I wouldn't want you to walk home alone and I've got the house for myself anyways." "Solidary as always", Scott flashes her a smile and takes her hand for just a second wanting her to be close but also knowing that anyone could see them, "Let's go."
