Some of the other boys and girls were looking for more alcohol to drink so they walked by realizing that this was about to be interesting so there was a small crowd around us. Scott's hand was closed to a fist, he was about to beat Jeff up. "Scotty, no. He's still injured and anyways he's not worth it", I whispered laying my had over his.

"Not worth it, huh? Must have been different when you hooked up with me because Scott didn't seem to be worth a serious relationship", Jeff provoked both of us to be angry but instead of staying calm as I told Scott to do, I couldn't believe that that was the Jeff everyone loved.

With small but fast steps I walked closer and in within a second my fist collided with his jaw hard. People around us were gasping, laughing, filming. But all I could think about how he was able to betray his friends like that. He wasn't even honest about it, he just made it worse by talking about us like that.

"Just leave us alone from now on", Scott still stayed calm laying his arm around me. We walked out of the pool house now, it's a wonder we could ignore all of the idiots cheering at us for having a fight. I didn't care about talking to Monty or Sheri right now although they were probably worried.

"I'm sorry that I didn't believe you", I sighed when Scott and I were walking home together. "It's alright, babe. I was so sure about it that I expected you to realize it, too", he laid my hand into his, then chuckled, „You could have at least let me hit him." "Guys, I'm not dead", Jeff laughed, when the boys brought the picture frame after everyone had left for lunch. We were on bad terms with each other right now but this was about him being a good athlete so we had to distinguish between our friendship and the team.

"You were in a coma for weeks, it felt like you were dead", Monty reminded him. "So to celebrate you as a team mate and friend, we made this. You're the best player man, you did everything to come back. This is us appreciating you fighting for our team", Bryce explained.

"We won the national championship because of you", Scott felt compelled to say. "And you care about your friends", Zach added.

"When did you two stopped listening to me?", I looked between Scott and Monty the next day in school, "I told you not to beat Jeff up. Monty, you're starting way too many fights."
