Following a physical and confrontational Thanksgiving dinner, which saw Y/N shoving a piece of pumpkin pie to Ryan Cabrera's "wonderful" face, the former airman decided to do some Christmas shopping since today is the day after Thanksgiving, the annual shopping frenzy known as, Black Friday.

Y/N woke up early morning to go down to the retail store to get some presents at low affordable discounted prices for his best friends and family. As he pulled up to the store, he can tell by looking through the windows that there are a lot of people doing their Christmas shopping as well, and as he parked, he saw that he parked beside Alexa's car.

Y/N: Alexa is here too, oh boy, she'll need some help

Wasting no time, Y/N got out and grabbed a cart before heading inside. He immediately went to the video game section to get some accessories for Nessie and Mike such as headphones and PS5 controllers.

Y/N: PS5 controllers, but not the PS5 itself. Sony is always ahead of their competitors

Then he went to another part of the store to get some stuff for his parents. Y/N got his dad a new tool set along with the drill that he always wanted.

Y/N: dad will love this drill, good thing everything is at discounted prices

Y/N continued to shop around while he still look for Alexa among the sea of Black Friday shoppers.

The former airman stumbled upon the toy section, and noticed something that caught his eye, a Hot Wheels 6-pack collector's set of Toy Story 4 character cars.

Y/N remembered that Toy Story is Alexa's favorite movie, and Buzz Lightyear is her favorite Disney character. He even remembered that Alexa had a Hot Wheels car on her shelf of stuff.

(A/N: right on Alexa's shelf is a Hot Wheels car, something I collect with over 700 cars)

Y/N: oh Alexa will definitely love this

The airman grabbed the pack and hid with the other presents in case he runs to Alexa along the way.

As he was about to check out, he ran into the Goddess and a cart of her presents too.

Y/N: oh hey, I didn't expect to see you within this big crowd

Alexa: yeah me too

Y/N: I saw your car when I pulled up, that's why

Alexa: I see, so Christmas shopping?

Y/N: yeah, you too?

Alexa: been fighting with other shoppers to get the gifts I want to give

The two proceeded to check out their stuff while Y/N successfully hid the Hot Wheels pack without Alexa knowing. Then the two put everything they bought in their trunks.

Alexa: so what you gonna do after this?

Y/N: I'm planning to go visit Fort Macdill

Alexa: the air force base you were stationed at?

Y/N: yeah, this time now, the troops are scheduled to head home for the holidays

Alexa: ooh, I want to see

Y/N: Alexa, it's an hour drive to Tampa, do you have anything to do, live events or whatsoever?

Alexa checked her phone to see her planner.

Alexa: nope, looks like my day is clear

Y/N: and how about your boyfriend, "Mr. Wonderful," say did he get to taste that pumpkin pie I shoved in his face?

Alexa giggled at his joke, then she replied.

Alexa: well you know where he is

Y/N: away writing his shit called music?

Alexa: yup...

Y/N: alright, after we put our Christmas presents away, I'll come by and pick you up, so we can drive to the base

Alexa: sounds good, I'll be waiting for you

Y/N nodded and the two got in their cars and drove to their homes.

(Minutes later)

After Y/N put all the stuff he bought together, he wore his military patched jacket along with his U.S. Air Force cap, then he got back in his car and drove to Alexa's house to pick her up for their trip to Fort Macdill.

After a few minutes drive, the former airman parked in front of Alexa's house, and saw the door already opened. He saw Alexa come running to his car after she locked her door.

Y/N: I didn't even honk my horn, but you're here already

Alexa giggled as she went inside his car.

Y/N: to Fort Macdill we go

Alexa smiled in excitement as the two friends began the hour drive to Tampa.

As they drove, the two made some necessary stops to the bathroom and for Alexa, some Starbucks.

Alexa: thanks for stopping at Starbucks for me, Y/N

Y/N: no problem, I know how much you love your Starbucks coffee

As the Goddess enjoyed her favorite morning brew, the two saw the fort is within their sights.

Y/N: there it is, Fort Macdill

Alexa: that is some nice fighter jets they have

Y/N: yeah, but I didn't get to fly though

Alexa: aww, why is that?

Y/N: well I'm afraid of heights and I'm afraid of crashing a very expensive piece of U.S. military equipment, so I was lucky to be assigned to their office thanks to my college degree and cum laude honor

Alexa: what rank did you get when you entered?

Y/N: with my college degree and honor, I was immediately promoted to 2nd. Lieutenant

The two parked in front of the fort.

Y/N: if you're gonna enter, you need to sign a visitor's pass

Alexa: oh okay, how about you?

Y/N: I have my ID

Alexa: okay, let's go

The two got out of the car, and Alexa signed her name to obtain a visitor's pass at the gate while Y/N just need to show his ID before the two went inside.

The two friends passed by platoons of plebes conducting basic drill marching while their drill sergeants shouted instructions to maintain their bearings.

Y/N: I was one of them when I first came into the base

Alexa: how did you get used to your drill sergeant shouting at you

Y/N: they shout because they want to bring out our best of us

They continued to walk around the base with most of the troops recognizing Y/N as their mentor or their fellow troop in the office. As they saw him, they saluted him in which Y/N saluted back.

As they continued to walk, Alexa heard a loud noise, which caused her to hang on to Y/N.

Y/N: it's okay Alexa, that is just a fighter jet taking off for a daily routine

Alexa: it's so loud

Y/N: I got used to it

Alexa: I won't

Y/N chuckled and lead Alexa into the building where he was assigned as a 2nd. Lieutenant.

Y/N: this is where my Air Force career continued after training

Alexa: unlike outside where it's hot, in here is air conditioned, so what did you do here?

Y/N: accountancy, since I graduated with that in college

Then Y/N saw that his former commanding officer Cpt. Dalisay is not in his office. Y/N asked one of his former fellow accounting troops the whereabouts of Dalisay.

Y/N: well it seems my commanding officer is conducting drill with a company, so we aren't able to meet him

Alexa: aww, that's okay Y/N

Then Y/N was given something by one of his old fellow Air Force buddy.

Alexa: what's that?

Y/N: oh, when I graduated from boot camp, I was given this, it's called a challenge coin. For me, it represents my membership and achievement

Alexa: wow

Y/N: but I have one of these, so I am giving this one to you

Alexa: oh wow, thanks

She looked at the coin bearing the Air Force seal on it. Then the two left the fort and drove back to Orlando.

Alexa: that was fun and interesting

Y/N: yup it was

They drove for an hour until they were back in Orlando. Y/N drove until he stopped at Alexa's house to drop her off.

Alexa: well we're done with our Christmas shopping

Y/N: yeah, so chaotic, but worth it because of the discounted prices

Alexa: thanks for today Y/N, I really enjoyed hanging out with you

Y/N: it's no problem Alexa, and keep that challenge coin in a safe spot

Alexa: I will, see you later

She got out of the car and went inside her house before Y/N drove off.

The Goddess organized all the presents she has purchased for all of her friends and family. Then she relaxed the rest of the day by watching movies while she admires the Air Force coin she got from Y/N.

Y/N has also organized all the gifts and since tomorrow is the weekend, he has the time to wrap them.

Then Y/N spent the rest of day all relaxed while he plays his video games.
