(Blake's POV)

Nora: A long story? It better not be boring.

Ruby: Maybe we can tell you on the way to Atlas.

Qrow: I know there is a base near here that Ironwood runs. I'm sure they'll take us to Atlas.

Jaune: Well... About that... We already tried that.

Qrow: Then we can try for ourselves.

Ruby: Then let's try it.

Everyone started to walk out. I tried to walk out too, but (Y/N) stopped me.

(Y/N): Can you not go? I want to be with you some more.

(Y/N) looked at me in the eyes. I looked at my team and waved at them.

Blake: You go in ahead. I'll be here with (Y/N).

Ruby: That's fine Blake. We'll be back when we're successful!

Jaune: You aren't going to get anywhere.

Nora: Cmon Jaune and Ren! Let's go see them fail!

Nora pushed Jaune and Ren out of the house. I walked over to the couch and sat down on it. (Y/N) walked over and laid down, resting his head on my lap. No one else is in here, so it's just me and (Y/N). I looked down at him and he smiled at me.

(Y/N): I love you, I hope you know that.

Blake: Of course I do. I love you more than you love me.

(Y/N) let out a chuckle. Now every time I look at (Y/N)'s face, I think back to what I learned from Jinn. I can hear his screams and him covered in blood. It's giving me goosebumps. (Y/N) reached up and put his hand on my cheek.

(Y/N): Is something wrong?

Blake: No. No I'm fine. Just thinking back to something that happened.

(Y/N): You can tell me. I'll listen.

Blake: It's... It's about some Grimm we encountered while on our way here.

(Y/N): Some Grimm? Is there anything that made them special?

Blake: They're called the Apathy. Me and the team had to deal with some of them. They let out a scream that made everyone who heard it lose their will to do anything.

(Y/N): ...That's scary. You're giving me goosebumps now.

I nodded my head. I put my hand on (Y/N)'s face and looked at him.

Blake: Can you promise me something?

(Y/N): Of course. Anything for you.

Blake: I want you to promise me that you'll stay safe.

(Y/N) laughed a bit.

(Y/N): You make it sound like I'm about to go into a war or something.

Blake: R-Right. I'm just worried for you.

(Y/N): Don't worry. I won't make you worry. I promise to stay safe.

I smiled at him and leaned down, gently placing my lips on his.

Blake: Thank you.

(Y/N) grabbed onto my hand and kissed it.

(Y/N): Again, anything for you.

I felt my heart start to beat faster. (Y/N) closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep. I put my hand on top of his head and lightly stroked through his hair. (Y/N) looks so calm and peaceful when he sleeps.

Blake: ...

I thought about the situation. We are going to need to tell the others what we learned from the Relic. I'm not sure how (Y/N) will react.

(Some Time Later)

I heard the front door open. I looked up and saw everyone walk inside.

Blake: How did it go?

Ruby: Not great.

Maria: It's because a she devil doesn't like us!

Qrow: Apparently Ironwood closed off connection to Atlas. Only people can go there if he says so.

Blake: That isn't great.

Jaune: I tried to tell them that it wouldn't work.

Nora: At least the bad news can't get any worse today. Am I right?!

(Y/N) groaned and opened his eyes.

(Y/N): Nora, please don't be loud.

Nora: If you're asking me that, then you clearly haven't met me!

(Y/N) sat up and rubbed his eyes.

(Y/N): What's even going on?

Ruby: We need to tell you guys something.

(One Explanation Later) (Readers POV)

Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang just got done telling everyone about Salem and Ozma. They never mentioned that I'm their child, so they probably don't know about that. Jaune punched the wall in frustration.

Ruby: Jaune!

Jaune: Everything we did was for nothing!

Blake: That's not true!

Nora: Really? Cuz it sure does sound like it.

Blake: I, um...

Ren: If Salem can't be killed, then how are we supposed to win this?

Everyone just stayed silent. I felt this weird feeling in me. I can't be here. I stood up, but Blake put her hand on my arm.

Blake: Where are you going?

(Y/N): Going back.

Jaune: Back where?

I made Blake let go of me and tried to leave. Weiss and Yang got in front of me.

(Y/N): Get out of my way.

Yang: We won't.

(Y/N): Fair enough. Then I'll have to change your minds.

Wait. I looked back at Oscar. I walked up to him and grabbed him by the shoulders.

(Y/N): You're coming with me.

Oscar: What?! Why?!

(Y/N): Because... She needs you.

Jaune: She? Who's she?

Ruby: He's talking about his mother!

What did Ruby say? I looked back at her and she looked at me dead in the eyes.

(Y/N): How do-

Ruby: The Relic told us everything.

I felt my veins about to pop. My skin started to turn white. Everyone looked at me. Crap. This is bad. Do they know I'm an enemy now? I don't want to be-

Salem: You have the perfect chance to get the boy and the Relic. Take it.

Mom? How did she say that and where is she? I looked around, trying to find her.

Blake: (Y/N)?

I need to leave. I threw Oscar at Yang and Weiss, knocking them to the floor. I quickly ran past them and went outside. I grew a pair of wings and quickly flew away. I felt some pain in my hand. I looked down at it and an orb formed on it. I saw mom's face in it.

Salem: Sweetie. Why did you run away?

(Y/N): I-I...

Salem: Tell me. You wouldn't lie to your own mother, would you?

(Y/N): ...I was scared. If I tried to fight them all, I wouldn't be able to win, and I don't want to hurt them.

Mom looked at me. She thought about what to say next.

Salem: Stay there. Watch from a distance and wait for the perfect opportunity to get the boy and the Relic without hurting your friends.

(Y/N): ...Yes mother... I'll get it done.

She smiled at me.

Salem: Now that's a good boy. I'll talk to you later.

The orb went back into my body. I went over to the nearest building and landed on it. I got rid of my wings and sat on the top of the building. Now I need to wait, that's what mom told me to do.
