(Blake's POV)

Everyone is sitting around in the library area. We lit the fire place and trying to make sense what we found upstairs. I heard the door open. I looked over and saw Qrow walk into the room, brushing some snow off himself.

Qrow: It's the same in every house.

Yang: What?

Qrow: Bodies. Every bed in every home. It's like the whole estate just went to sleep and never woke up.

Weiss: Then we're not staying here, right?

Qrow: We don't have a choice. Storm outside's only getting worse. We'd freeze to death before we made it anywhere.

Maria: Well, might as well get comfortable.

She walked over to a shelf and grabbed a book.

Yang: Yeah, fat chance.

Ruby: Well... Maybe since this place isn't abandoned, there should still be supplies here.

Oscar: Yeah, maybe even a car.

Qrow: Alright, I'll do another sweep around the place. No one goes anywhere alone, got it?

Ruby: Me and Weiss can look for food.

Blake: And me and Yang can look for a vehicle.

Qrow nodded his head and walked out the room. Ruby and Weiss got up and went out the room to look for food. I looked over and Yang.

Blake: Let's hope we can find something useful.

(Hours Later)

Everyone is sitting around, eating beans from cans that Ruby and Weiss found. We didn't really find much, only a trailer. I saw Ruby walk in.

Ruby: Hey guys. Qrow said we should get some sleep. We're gonna head out early tomorrow.

Blake: Thank goodness.

Maria got off the couch and walked over to a chair.

Maria: Hmph, the last thing you'll catch me doing is letting some kid tell me what to do.

She sat down on the chair and continued to read the book she has in her hand.

Maria: "Go to bed".

I sighed and put a blanket over me. I closed my eyes and let myself fall unconscious.

(Dream Land)

I got done slashing at some Grimm, killing them. I looked behind me and saw (Y/N) kick some Grimm away. He looked over and noticed me staring.

(Y/N): See something you like?~

Blake: ...No.~

We shared a laugh together. We walked up to each other and we hugged, the both of us holding closely. Me and (Y/N) was about to share a kiss, but (Y/N) was knocked away.

Blake: What?

I looked over and saw Adam slowly walking over to (Y/N). I tried to stop him by slashing Gambol Shroud at him, but it just went right through him.

(Y/N): Blake? Blake?!

Adam: She isn't here to help you.

Adam stabbed his sword into (Y/N)'s stomach, causing him to scream like crazy. I tried to cover my ears to not hear the screams, but my hands disappeared and making me unable to cover my ears.

(Y/N): BLAKE!!! HELP ME!!!

I tried to move, but my body refused to. (Y/N)'s screams got louder and louder. Adam brought his sword up and swung it down at (Y/N)'s head, cutting it off.

Blake: (Y/N)!!!

(Dream End)

My eyes snapped open while I took a deep breath. I looked around where I am and I'm in the house with everyone else. They're still asleep. I rubbed my eyes and let out a sigh of relief.

Blake: It was just a dream. It was just a dream. It wasn't real.

I looked out a nearby window and the sun is barely up. Ruby groaned at woke up. She looked over at me.

Ruby: Good morning.

She got up and went over to the door of the room.

Ruby: Blake, can you wake everyone else?

Blake: Sure.

Ruby smiled and walked out the room. I went over to Weiss and Yang. I started to shake them lightly. They groaned and tried to swat my hands away.

Weiss: Stop it.

Yang: I barely got any sleep.

Blake: Get up. It's time for us to leave.

They slowly got up. I walked over to Oscar and Maria and woke them up too. We all got up and walked outside. Weiss used her weapon to weld a metal ball at the end of Yang's bike. Qrow pushed the trailer me and Yang found the night before. Me and Oscar sat down on the porch.

Weiss: There.

Oscar: Can we just go back to bed?

Blake: If we're all so tired, maybe we should make breakfast?

Oscar: You wanna make it?

Blake: Not really.

Ruby walked up to the bike.

Ruby: You guys got the bike ready?

Qrow: Well, it's done now. So let's hook this thing up and-

Qrow put his foot on the trailer. One of the tires went flat. Qrow groaned in frustration.

Maria: You people are just beacons for bad luck, aren't you?

Qrow walked over to a fence and sat down next to it, resting his back on the fence.

Yang: I'm starting to think the universe just doesn't want us getting to Atlas.

Ruby: It's just a flat tire, I'm sure there's a spare.

Yang: It's not just that, it's everything. Storms, crashes, monsters... I'm so tired...

Blake: Me too. It feels like we're always having to fight to get by.

Ruby: Yeah. But that's what we signed up for.

Oscar: We signed up to try and save the world, not just... Delay the inevitable.

Weiss: Last night, I... I couldn't stop thinking. Why are we even going to Atlas?

Ruby: Weiss, we have to.

Yang: Why? Ozpin hid the Relics behind giant doors under enormous schools, but... How long would it take Salem to find a lamp in the middle of nowhere?

Ruby: What? The Grimm might-

Yang: They'd find it eventually, sure, but bury it or just throw it down the well, it would take years. It might not even happen in our lifetime. But we could be done with it now.

Ruby detached the lamp from her side and looked at it. She walked over to a nearby well.

Ruby: I am... Really... Tired...

Ruby looked down at the well and held the lamp over it. She stopped for a second and slowly started to bring the lamp back to her. Ruby suddenly got startled and dropped the lamp down the well.

Ruby: No! No! No! I didn't mean to!

Weiss: Ruby, it's okay.

Ruby: No! No, there's something down there! I saw it, it was looking at me!

Yang walked up to Ruby and put her hand on Ruby's shoulder.

Yang: Hey, it's okay. You just said you're tired. It's probably nothing. Now let's go.

Ruby took a step back, getting Yang's hand off her.

Ruby: What's wrong with you?! We can't just leave, we have to go down there! We have to get the lamp back! Oh, what was I thinking?!

She facepalmed. Qrow stood up and sighed.

Qrow: All we have to do is fix this trailer. Hey, farm boy, check the shed for a spare.

Ruby: I'm not leaving without the lamp!

That was surprising to hear Ruby shout in anger. I got up and walked over to Ruby.

Blake: I'll go down with you...

Weiss: We'll go down together.

Qrow: Fine! Get the stupid lamp! Oscar, fox the stupid tire!

Qrow started to walk over to the house and was about to enter it.

Maria: Where are you going?

Qrow: Where do you think?

Qrow showed off his flask and shook it. Qrow walked inside the house, making Maria sigh.

Maria: Stupid...

Me, Ruby, Weiss, and Yang all went down the well. We pulled our scrolls out and turned on the flashlights.

Ruby: Where is it? It couldn't have gone far.

Ruby looked around and saw a subtle blue light from a corner. She ran up to it, turning a corner and making it impossible to see her.

Ruby: Guys, I-

She interrupted herself by screaming. She ran back over to us

Yang: Ruby?! What is it?

Ruby looked back and I saw several human looking Grimm slowly walked into view. This can't be good.
