(Blake's POV)

Everyone has been walking through this forest for a while. The snow started to pick up. I can only hope we find someone or something to help us.

Qrow: Doesn't look like this is gonna let up.

Blake: Just wanna get this stupid Relic to Atlas.

Weiss: Let's hope we don't have to walk all the way there.

Yang, who is pushing her bike, looked at Maria, who is sitting on Yang's bike.

Yang: I thought trails led somewhere.

Maria: Do you have nothing better to do than to harass a defenseless old lady?

Ruby: Everyone, quiet. Do you hear that?

Everyone stopped. I started to hear the sound of metal squeaking. I looked over to my left and saw a metal gate. Everyone else noticed and we all walked up to it. A bunch of buildings are past the gate. The gate has a sign above it reading "BRUNSWICK FARMS".

Blake: Well, at least one good thing happened today.

Weiss: It looks abandoned.

Ruby: It's still better than being out in the snow.

Qrow: Come on, I think we could all use some rest.

We walked through the gate. I looked at the buildings. It doesn't look like anything has been here for awhile.

Ruby: I don't get it. The empty towns I've passed through were all damaged or unfinished. But this place looks... Fine.

We made it to the biggest house. We walked onto the porch.

Weiss: Maybe everyone left in a hurry. Before things took a turn?

Qrow tried to open the door, but it's locked.

Qrow: Stay on guard.

We all got our weapons out. Qrow kicked the door open. We all walked inside, looking for anything suspicious.

Maria: Close the door already! It's cold enough in here as it is.

After Qrow kicking the door open, it's not going to be staying shut. Me and Oscar moved a nearby drawer to keep the door closed.

Blake: I saw a chimney from the outside. Maybe we could get a fire going?

Weiss: Please. I'll look for some blankets.

Qrow: Yang, go with her.

Weiss and Yang went up a nearby set of stairs. Oscar went up to a door and opened it. He looked into the room.

Oscar: Looks like a study. Or, a library?

Everyone else walked into the room. I saw Ruby walk up to a shelf and looked at some pictures. I walked up to her and looked at the pictures. The pictures show a lot of people, most likely everyone who lives here.

Blake: What do you think?

Ruby: Something doesn't feel right.

Blake: Let's look for some-

I was interrupted by a high pitched scream.

Ruby: Weiss!

Me and Ruby ran out of the room and went upstairs. We saw an open door. We ran in and saw Yang and Weiss. I looked at the bed and saw two corpses. They both are decomposed. What even happened here?!

(Readers POV)

After flying for so long, I felt myself start to get cold. I saw a city next to the sea. I quickly flew down to the city and landed on the streets. I got rid of my wings and started to walk around.

(Y/N): Where even am I?

I saw a blonde haired woman holding a child. I ran up to here.

(Y/N): Excuse me. Can you help me out?

She looked at me and so did the kid.

Saphron: Sure. What can I help you with?

(Y/N): Where am I right now?

Saphron: You don't know?

She giggled.

Saphron: You sound a lot like my brother. You're in Argus.

(Y/N): Argus huh? This is a nice place.

Saphron: Hey, you look cold.

She grabbed my hand and started to drag me somewhere.

Saphron: I'll help you warm up a bit.

(Y/N): Oh no, that's fine-

Saphron: I already made up my mind.

We made it to a small house and we entered it. I looked around.

Saphron: Go and make yourself at home. I'll go make some coffee.

(Y/N): Well... Alright then.

I walked into a living room and sat down on a couch. I looked around the place. It's well furnished and pretty clean. The woman walked up to me and handed me a cup.

(Y/N): Why? Why are you being so nice to me?

Saphron: That's just the way I was raised. Plus, you look like a nice guy.

I smiled to myself and took a sip of the coffee. It's bitter, but nice.

(Y/N): What's your name?

Saphron: Saphron Cotta-Arc.

That name sounds familiar.

(Y/N): I'm (Y/N)...

I thought about it. What is my last name? I need to ask mom when I return to her.

Saphron: It's nice to meet you (Y/N).

I heard something start to ring. Saphron took a scroll out of her pocket.

Saphron: I have to take this. Can you make sure Adrian doesn't do anything bad?

She pointed at the little kid sitting on the floor. I nodded my head. Saphron smiled and answered her scroll.

Saphron: Hey little brother. Why are you calling me?

I stopped listening to her conversation. It's her business. I looked at Adrian. He looked up at me with curiosity. I took another sip of coffee.

Saphron: You're here?! Like right now?!

Me and Adrian looked at Saphron. She ran up to her front door and opened it.

Saphron: Oh my gosh! You brought friends along!

Who ever is here sure is making Saphron excited. Saphron walked back into the living room. I looked past her and saw Jaune, Ren, and Nora. They looked at me.

Jaune: (Y/N)?

(Y/N): Jaune?

Saphron: You two know each other?

Nora: You!

Nora jumped at me and tackled me, causing the couch I was on to fall over. Nora started to hit me on the head over and over again.

(Y/N): Ow ow ow ow! Stop it!

Nora: I thought you died!

(Y/N): You can stop hitting me now!

Nora: I made a promise back at Beacon that if you made me think you died I'd make sure you'd pay!

Ren and Jaune grabbed onto Nora's arms and pulled her away from me.

Ren: Nora! Please calm down.

Jaune: You almost broke my sister's couch!

Nora: Not until I get the message into (Y/N)'s head!

(Y/N): Trust me, I got it.

Nora: I don't believe you!

I got up and hugged Nora. She stopped struggling and looked at me.

(Y/N): I'm sorry... To make you all worry about me.

Nora got her arms free from Jaune and Ren and hugged me back, like she's trying to break my back.

Nora: Fine! I'll let you go with a warning!

She stopped the hug. Jaune and Ren looked at me.

Ren: It's nice to see you again.

Jaune: What happened to you? That one guy took you away and you were gone for awhile.

(Y/N): I don't want to get into that-

Wait. If Jaune, Ren, and Nora are here, then Team RWBY must be here too.

(Y/N): Where's Blake?

Jaune: Blake? Oh, that Blake? She's... Um...

He sounds nervous. I put my hands on his shoulders. I looked Jaune in his eyes and he got worried, I can see it in his eyes.

(Y/N): Where. Is. Blake.

Nora: She's not here. Team RWBY, Cute Boy Oz, and Qrow fell off a train into a snowy forest.

(Y/N): They... What?

My grip on Jaune's shoulders got tighter, making him flinch in pain.

Ren: Nora. That wasn't the time to say that.

(Y/N): You didn't go back for them?

Some of my skin started to turn pure white. I felt someone grab my shoulder. I looked back and it's Saphron.

Saphron: It's going to be ok (Y/N). It's not Jaune's fault.

I stopped myself and my skin went back to normal. I let go of Jaune. I took a deep breath and let out a sigh.

(Y/N): Right. Sorry Jaune.

Jaune: It's alright. I'm sure not being with us and Team RWBY couldn't have been good for you.

(Y/N): A lot of my life changed recently.

Suddenly, Saphron started to pull on mine and Nora's ear.

Nora: Ow! That hurts!

Saphron: You two better clean the mess you made!

She pointed at the knocked over couch and broken cup, with coffee staining the carpet.

(Y/N) and Nora: Yes ma'am.
