(Readers POV)

I made it to my dorm room. I opened the door and walked in. I looked around the room.

(Y/N): This room isn't the best, but not the worst either.

I walked up to the only bed and sat down on it.

(Y/N): This is boring-

I got interrupted by a knock on the door, causing the cat ears on my head to twitch. I got up and opened the door to see Ozpin standing there.

Ozpin: Good to see you find your dorm.

(Y/N): Yeah... So why are you here?

Ozpin: I thought you might be confused about you not being assigned to a team.

(Y/N): I did notice that. Am I going to be, like, a fifth member of a team or something?

Ozpin: No. I have some interesting things planned for you.

(Y/N): Well... Alright then.

Ozpin: For now, get some rest. I'll tell you more at a later date.

(Y/N): Thanks.

He was about to leave but stopped himself.

Ozpin: If you don't mind me asking, why the extra pair of ears?

(Y/N): Oh, you know, just trying out a new style.

Ozpin just smiled at me and walked away. I closed the door. I just stood there for a bit.

(Y/N): I guess I should find something interesting to do.

I looked around the room. I saw a tv and turned it on, hoping to find something interesting to watch.

(Y/N): Maybe I can find something about Faunus.

I did find a tv channel all about Faunus. I laid down on my bed and watched.

(The Next Day)

I made my way to combat class. I made it into the class and saw Glynda Goodwitch. I waved at her.

(Y/N): Hello Miss Goodwitch.

Glynda: Hello Mister (L/N). I do hope you behave yourself in this class.

(Y/N): I'll behave myself.

Glynda: Good.

I sat down on a random seat and waited for everyone else. I saw team RWBY, JNPR, CRDL, and other students walk in. I noticed Blake looking at me. I smiled at her and waved. She just gave me a glare and looked away from me.

Glynda: Good to see everyone is here on time. This is combat class. As the name implies, I will choose two random students to fight. The one to lose their aura first loses.

This seems interesting. I wonder who will fight first.

Glynda: I need someone to help me demonstrate how this class works.

I thought about it. Might as well do it. I raised my hand. Glynda looked at me.

Glynda: Thank you Mister (L/N). Come down here.

I got up and walked down to Glynda. I stood next to her.

(Y/N): So... What do I do?

Glynda: We are going to spar.

(Y/N): Wait, what?!

I have to fight her? Hasn't she been fighting Grimm for years now? Who knows how strong she is.

Glynda: Are you still up for it?

I can chicken out and have someone else do it, but then that means someone else has to fight Glynda.

(Y/N): Yeah. I'm still up for it.

Glynda: Great. I will hold back, don't worry. If I were to go all out, you would already been defeated.

I believe that. I took a few steps back and got ready to fight.

Glynda: Begin!

I rushed over to her. I tried to punch her, but a purple aura surrounded my hand. I got launched back into a wall. I quickly recovered. Rushing her isn't going to work. What can I do?

Glynda: Are you going to make a move?

I used my semblance and covered my back with  hedgehog quills. I turned around and shot them out at Glynda. A purple aura surrounded all the quills and shot them back at me.

(Y/N): Oh crap!

I jumped up to dodge them. How am I supposed to fight a psychic semblance? I grew a pair of wings and flew down at Glynda at high speeds. She used her semblance to grab me entire.

(Y/N): I can't move.

Glynda: Do you wish to forfeit?

I got an idea. I saw this from a nature documentary about certain lizards. I shot out blood from my eyes, the blood hitting Glynda in the face. She stopped using her semblance, dropping me to the ground. I tried to open my eyes, but I can't. I can't see.

(Y/N): I should thought that carefully.

I got up and tried to punch Glynda. I didn't hit anything. I got launched into another wall. That hurt like hell.

(Y/N): This sucks.

I fell down and hit the floor.

(Y/N): I give...

Glynda: That's the match. (Y/N) has lost by forfeit.

(Blake's POV)

The fight between (Y/N) and Glynda just got finished. Glynda helped (Y/N) stand up. He felt around the air. Glynda reached into her pocket and pulled out a cloth. She wiped the blood off of her face and (Y/N)'s face.

Glynda: Now, the fights between you students won't be so one sided. I hope that fight gave you all an idea of what this class is about.

(Y/N): Um... Can someone help me to my seat?

Glynda sighed and surrounded a purple aura around (Y/N) and lifted him up into the air. He is gently sent over to a seat next to Yang.

Yang: Are you... Ok?

(Y/N): I think so. My aura should be able to heal my eyes soon.

Weiss: What if your aura doesn't heal them?

(Y/N): There are many animals that can heal their eyes easily, so I should be able to do that too.

Ruby: Your semblance is so cool! Even when I think I saw everything it can do, you do more!

(Y/N): Thanks.

I looked at the cat ears on top of his head. Is he making fun of me? I gave him a glare, even if he can't see me.

Glynda: The first official fight of the day will be Cardin versus Jaune.

I made sure no one is looking at me. I reached over and pinched (Y/N) on the arm. He flinched in pain.

(Y/N): Who did that?

Yang: Did what?

(Y/N): Never mind.
